Your version of corn beef hash is different from the way I was shown by my grandmother. I always mixed the corn beef in with the mash potato, onion, salt & pepper and some grated cheese. Place in a tray cover with cheese and cook.

I am an old man but have clear memories of after WWII the UK imported large amounts of corned beef from Argentina. Along with it came Typhoid in it and it became far from popular and was nick-named 'tinned Typhoid'. Happily, those days are long gone and I am very taken with your presentations on modern usage of so many common and inexpensive comestibles to make such favourable dishes in such an easy way, at minimum energy and other costs. Keep up the good work!

My thoughts exactly. I’m making it tonight with the left overs from last nights corned beef meal. I cut the already cooked potatoes and fry them up with onion In my cast iron skillet then add the left over corned beef & stir. Finally I make little indents in the top and place an egg in each indent, Put the lid on for about 3 minutes or longer if you don’t like runny egg yolks. Dinner is served.

I haven't had corned beef hash in years but I am going to now. One of the things I love about your cooking is the fact that its always simple and looks so tasty. I have a couple of Air Fryer books and most of the receipts I would have to go and do a special shop for things I have never heard of but yours are things from the fridge, freezer and cupboard so thank you. Keep up the good work.

As lovely as this looks it’s technically not a corned beef hash as a hash has the potatoes cubed and mixed with the corned beef. This to me is more like a corned beef shepherds pie. None the less I’m definitely gonna try this ❤

Heres a Yorkshire version that we cook in west Yorkshire would be great for your pressure cooker. Cubed potatoes probably 6 large, 1 large onion, 2 tins of corn beef i like carrots in mine😊 gravy enough so its stew like ( maybe your maggie seasoning ) all together cook as would to your own timings in your pressure cooker enough to cook potatoes. Serve with Yorkshire puddings its a great winter warmer my kids loved it.
You could add baked beans too if you like . I bet baby frank would love it.❤

The corned beef in the can that you have is the same as ours in the can.
I just cooked a CORNED BEEF from the meat counter so it's more like the 'joint of beef' that you mentioned. There are many reciped for corned beef hash. My mother always served us corned beef boiled all together with cabbage, onions, carrots, potatoes for St. Patricks day
The following day she woild make hash with the leftover meat (chopped) with the potato, carrot and onion along with some fresh chopped onions in the mix. Thiß was for our breakfast with some fried eggs and toast.

Everyone seems to do corned beef hash differently. We used to mash the corned beef together with the potatoes and onion. Put in a dish, rough the top up and dot with butter, so it would go crispy in the oven, and serve with baked beans. The hash was also good as a filling for pasties and pies. Yours looks nice, though. I've seen some people make it in to a sloppy sort of stew and call it hash.

Very different to the version I make (believe it or not, learned this from the Luton & Dunstable Hospital when I was in a while back getting carved up).
Peel and dice the 'tatoes, then fry the in veg oil. DO NOT keep stirring or it will NEVER brown. a cube has six sides, so 6 x 3 minute sessions to evenly brown the 'tatoes.
Then add the diced corned beef, stirring gently so's not to break it up. Then make up a beef stock with your fave cube and about half the water the instructions say. Reduce on a medium high heat until the stock is thick and coats the beef and 'tatoes. add some cooked frozen peas and enjoy!

Need to add Worcestershire Sauce to the pan whilst frying. Elevates hash to a new level.
