In my opinion Ann Wilson is one of the top songstresses in history. She has a terrific voice, always knows where she is in the song, and the expressiveness of her voice and behavior were perfect. The band's recordings were top tier works of art, yet their live performances were even better. Thank you, The Midnight Special for preserving this treasure for me to reminisce, and for future generations to get a chance to see the greatness.
@@JohnFromArlingtron I would guess bands like Abba probably did lip sync performances, but I can't think of any others. I thought the whole idea of the Midnight Special was to see live performances. Can you give me some or even one other example of a lip sync on TMS?
@@willspies5869This channel just released an REO Speedwagon song, Roll with the Changes, from TMS in 1980. In parts you can see the bassist lift his hand above his head and still hear bass playing. 73yo in Atlantic City last week. She lost a little range thats about it, hits EVERY SINGLE note. Best live band, Nancy is stunning still. Timeless.

Cold, late night so long ago
When I was not so strong you know

I never seen eyes so blue
You know, I could not run away it seemed
We'd seen each other in a dream
Seemed like he knew me, he looked right through me, yeah

"You don't have to love me yet, let's get high awhile
But try to understand, try to understand
Try, try, try to understand, I'm a magic man"
Winter nights we sang in tune
Played inside the months of moon
"Never think of never let this spell last forever"
Well, summer lover passed to fall
Tried to realize it all
Mama says she's worried, growing up in a hurry
"Come on home, girl" Mama cried on the phone
"Too soon to lose my baby yet, my girl should be at home"
But try to understand, try to understand
Try, try, try to understand, he's a magic man, Mama, ah
He's a magic man
"Come on home, girl" he said with a smile
"I cast my spell of love on you, a woman from a child"
But try to understand, try to understand
Oh, oh, try, try, try to understand,
He's a magic man, oh, he's got the magic hands
Oh's over top
"Come on home, girl" he said with a smile
"You don't have to love me yet, let's get high awhile"
But try to understand, try to understand
Try, try, try to understand, he's a magic man, yeah, oh
