Thank you so much🙏🏼💙 Yes! you can definitely do that. I'm doing that now in my new apartment. I'm also going to try this on the kitchen cabinets & upload a video on the process. Good luck with your project!
At least you made an effort, which is more than most of us can say. And, it’s a great way to learn, even if it is learning what not to do. Neve stop trying.
Thank you so much🙏 I’m glad that I discovered your channel. I have 3 dogs and I’m exhausted of cleaning the carpet and changing it every 3 years. It’s begun to cost me a lot of money. I have stairs in my condo, and if you have any suggestions about how I can install it? Thank you 😊
Hey love! Thank you for watching 🙏🏼💙 You can install stair treads which protect your stairs from mud, dirt etc. Here's a link to one option www.llbean.com/llb/shop/506645?originalProduct=125885&productId=1817873&attrValue_0=Blue&sku=1000094403&pla1=0&qs=&gclid=Cj0KCQjwxveXBhDDARIsAI0Q0x1adS9Z3jhdE5rAEWulntMpk3rdbBGmiCiiwCKGhEgWUtc9a5v9s0AaAjy4EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds&SN=reczonetest_02&SS=B&SN2=floatsbtest_04&SS2=A&SN3=floatatbtest_04&SS3=A. You can also install a stair runner over the carpet. We used a clear plastic stair runner in the building hallway to protect new carpeting.
Nice ! I Seen Your First Video Of You Laying The Floor Down Now Im Watching This . I Wanted To Know Where You Got The Supplies From Because I Would Like To Try This
You are adorable... I love watching Diy project but sometimes I'm too afraid doing myself lol but def. your video i'd do it sometimes soon. Thank you for doing those videos and God bless you 🙏🌹
Would you recommend the poster board for wood and tile sub-flooring as well? I am about to move to a rental house with this unattractive cherry colored wood flooring and are looking for an option.
Hey girl! Yes, definitely recommend and this would come out even better if you don’t have carpet. The poster will prevent any glue/residue from accumulating on your floor💗
Hello! I'm so glad I found your videos on this. How did you do the slanted edge towards the original carpet in the doorway? (I think this would normally be done by a 'transition ramp')?
Hey love! thanks for watching 🙏🏼💙 Yes, if you search amazon for "floor transition slip" there are a bunch of options including peel and stick. Lots of color options!
Hi there! Can you please tell us the brand of the rug gripper tape used? I'm seeing reviews online for many carpet tape saying it leaves residue. I want to try this out but dont want to ruin the original carpet.
Hey love! Its called LOK-LIFT Rug Gripper tape from the home decor store "at home". Here's the link. www.athome.com/4x25-roll-rug-gripper-tape/124176565.html
Hello, I want to do this in my salon suite. It’s more like a small office. It has carpet. I call it that “doctors office” lol. It’s thin & rough. Do you think this would do well over the tiles? I do have equipment. So maybe with that sitting on it, it’ll do ok.
Thank you so much🙏🏼💙 No, thankfully there was enough space. Also, the tiles are veryyyy thin. Not like real hardwood tiles that need that kind of adjusting
Hi! Thanks for watching. Yes, you can totally do that. It might even turn out better (I’m assuming your kitchen floors are already tiled and will allow a flat, sturdy surface to apply peel and stick tiles)
hi, im in thr process of applying my stick and peel tiles next week. what do you mean by having them staggered? like have the design not be unilateral, or have the stick and peels overlap each other a little?
Hey love, no the tiles are thin enough that you don't need to do that. I would only recommend adding a transition slip where the tile ends so there is a smooth transition
This is totaly brilliant. They could even be salvaged after removal for a furniture upcycle!
Thank you so much 🙏🏼💙 and yes! I put them in my basement lol
You about to make me redo my apartment I was so depressed about my ugly carpet I'm so glad that I came across your video ❤️❤️
Hey love! I'm so happy I could help. Good luck with your project!
You basically made your own vinyl flooring sheet. Great idea. Cause you can use whatever type of flooring you want.
This was a genius idea! I'm going to do this in my kitchen with peel and stick tiles-- thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much 🙏🏼💙 hope your project comes out amazing!
I've always hated carpet flooring and I moved to the UK where most houses have carpet flooring, so this is absolutely great. thanks for sharing
Glad it was helpful! I completely agree
That's a great idea for a wall as well with the poster board behind it. I'm so in love

This is a very good point! Thank you 🙏🏼
You’re a dream! Complete lifesaver. Thank you girl 🙏🏽
Thanks so much for watching🙏🏼💙 Hope your project comes out amazingggg
Was scared about removing but WOW came up so easily okay I’m sold I just want to find a really good underlay
Yes!! The removal is always iffy but I was ready to risk it all lol. Thankfully, very easy and clean process. Check Amazon, lots of options :)
Nice job lda, 🙂(appreciate your sophisticated but genuine vibe)
I enjoy your variety.
Have a great day

Hey love!! Yes, this DIY works well only on that very low type of carpet. I think you’re good 💗🫶🏼
@@IdaAlexis thank you so much
How long did you think it could last
This is an amazing idea (i just saw the original). Did you need to shave off the bottom of your door to accommodate the hight of the layers?
Thank you so much🙏🏼💙 No, thankfully there was enough space. Also, the tiles are veryyyy thin. Not like real hardwood tiles that need that kind of adjusting
This is the best idea i saw , Would you recommended this for a more thicker carpet?
Hey love, thank you so much 🙏🏼💙 I wouldn't recommend if its too thick. The tiles won't lay as flat and it won't feel sturdy when you're walking
This woman is beautiful
Thank you so much 🙏🏼
Aloha, I want to do this in my kitchen. what do you think? thanks!
Hi! Thanks for watching. Yes, you can totally do that. It might even turn out better (I’m assuming your kitchen floors are already tiled and will allow a flat, sturdy surface to apply peel and stick tiles)
If you were to do it again would you use the poster board again?
Hey love! Sorry for the late reply. Yes, definitely use the poster board to protect the carpet from the glue on the tile
My question is that is the tiles reusable ..i❓❓f i need to move then i can peel it n use it again or not ???plz answer,❤️
Hey hun! Yes, it’s possible to reuse. The poster board would be stuck to tile, but you can use rug tape to attach to new surface
totally unrelated but you remind me so much of Kat Graham !!
Hey love! Thank you that’s a first lol 💗
Would double side ahseive paper work ?
I’m not sure, but I don’t like the idea of glue/adhesive on your carpet. The rug tape is good bc it doesn’t leave reside
Omggg yes! Im doing this! Thanks so much!
Yay! anytime :) I was going to share the link to this so you can see how it held up, but you found it lol
Also, your other comment had me crying 😂
Thank you very much for this Amazing idea 👍👍👌.🇺🇸🇲🇺

You know how actual hardwood floors the planks of wood don’t perfectly line up like the planks aren’t in straight rows that’s what she means
Amazing. Thank you for this idea.
Anytime! Thank you for watching 🙏🏼💙
What's the link to these?
Hi! I bought this from Home Depot, but here’s an Amazon link amzn.to/3TTLBGm
Hi there What’s the best way to contact you about information on Airbnb?
Thanks for the update sweetie!
Did you have to change the height of your doors?
Hey love, no the tiles are thin enough that you don't need to do that. I would only recommend adding a transition slip where the tile ends so there is a smooth transition
Would this work in my kitchen?
Hey hun. Yes, it might be even easier since kitchen floors are usually hardwood or tile.
Hiw many pieces are in the box? I keep seeing it labeled by how many sq feet and it’s driving me crazy lol. I need an exact count if you dont mind lol
Hi! I think there were 24 pieces. I think! lol
So are you able to walk on it
Hey! Yes, just make sure its a low pile carpet
Ooo I’m going to do honeycomb marble on my bathroom
Nice! Let me know how that come out 💗
Did it feel weird or did you hear noises when walking on it?
Overall, it feels fine (my carpet was very thin/low). If you want it to feel 100% solid you would need to add wood underneath
How did you clean these floors?
Hey love, I would vacuum and then use a swiffer & wet pad to mop (Do not use a regular mop & bucket to prevent any molding etc)
What poster board?
Hey! You can purchase from dollar tree or use link in my bio to my amazon links :)
@@IdaAlexis Okay, thank you.
Oh Ho Oh no, did you fall?
😬
Oh wow, it came up in big bits!
