@@ItZFlipz it took me a min but because the angle is always the same he only needs to mesure the two sides and cut at that angle (except for specific cuts for smaller pieces) so this makes it a lot easier then having to figure out the reverse angle on every piece.

Why on earth would you need a measuring tape? Converting it to a system of measurement is a completely needless step and totally irrelevant. The measurement is literally right in front of your face on the floor. It doesn't need to be converted. That's far less accurate anyway.
I saw this done once with TWO shades of (light and dark) flooring. The result was a mind bending jig-saw staggering 3-D illusion. Looked beyond fantastic. Nice to have square walls to work with and NO TOE-STOP to put back in. He is amazing. Also as mentioned the roller carts for your bum and rolling materials.

@@worldnews4347 Yes, but are even sure you actually read what he said before typing this? I was also extremely impressed with the CUTTING OF THE TILES TO FIT THE EDGES AND THE PRECISION…
Every time you measure with a tape you introduce error. Direct measurement is best followed by a folding rule. A tape is accurate to 1/16th inch on an interior measurement and it takes TIME. On a square layout you can flip the planks ans cut along the already laid ones
In America house designer will says "geez look at those cheap wooden floor on top of the tiles" i've been in flipping house for more than 10 years and this is a no go for american houses especially 2022. classic house use (real hardwood)but i still dont understand the concept of your video. But good skill you have there man
Come to Texas and look at some of the shittt they throw at you in this economy and DEMAND top dollar. I bought my house 14 years ago, it had a shingle roof. It had 3 layers of shingles on it!!!! The roofer told me, when I had him put a metal roof on. so much for quality. Before that I had another house. some of the floors had 3 layers of flooring on it. So dispense with the "America" bull shit. If you've been flipping houses, you're one of the VERY few honest ones that operate with integrity. Because as a Landlord who bought and sold houses in my life honest contractors and Flippers with integrity are very hard to come by.
This man is class on his own, i never thought i would enjoy watching a man laying tiles on the floor but i just did and to think that im involved in the housing industry
It's geometry, he's using the existing flooring he already laid down to measure the angles and lengths most of the time. He lays down the slats over an earlier joint and cuts in a straight line between two corners. Or he takes the piece of flooring he's about to lay down and marks it on the reverse using his cutter.
There being almost ten minutes of an intense awe inspiring orchestra and then immediately switching to something that sounds like a goofy Mario theme as soon as you put the final piece down is unintentionally hilarious
I work exactly the same, you have to see the pieces of parquet upside down to cut the angle for the wall. You need skill and vision in space to be able to do the job so fast. It is not impossible, it requires attention, patience and pleasure to do such a thing!
It's not wood but some kind of composite (vinyl/plastique/fibre) with a printed faux wood surface pattern and that you can easily cut with a box cutter and lay it down with no additional glue or nails etc. Simple enough once you get the hang of it but it is not T&G (tongue and groove) so water will go through all the joints so do not wash with mop and pail; just use a damp cloth. (Water will penetrate to the undersurface and within time will begin to decay the bonding thus causing lifting of the corners affected.) Also, floor base must be visually level, no highs or lows) and definitely no bumps...nailheads, floorscrews etc. Finish job looks great (herringbone) but does it require to be completely 'rolled' with a heavy weight once it is laid down to assure consistent and thorough contact with the base glue/prep?
I've laid T&G vinyl and the way he would skip a few slats and then come back and wedge one in there with no mallet like it was no big deal blew my mind. Then it occurred to me it wasn't grooved when he was laying the edges. I couldn't imagine trying to lay those tiny pieces. There's a lot more waste with T&G if you're like me and don't know what you're doing or have a mind for it
That’s mind boggleing. I was in that business for years, and I’ve never seen anyone do that without ever picking up a measure ing tape. That’s incredible
impressive! two questions: first, I've seen these kind of floors get gaps between them overtime, how do you prevent that? second, what about the boards near the outdoor opening when it rains, heard water is like poison because wood swells up and rots, how do you prevent that?
The way he calculates the angle cuts seems so intuitive to him. Would love to see a tutorial where he explains the process.

@@ItZFlipz it took me a min but because the angle is always the same he only needs to mesure the two sides and cut at that angle (except for specific cuts for smaller pieces) so this makes it a lot easier then having to figure out the reverse angle on every piece.

Very impressive.
Well done!
What kind of geometric wizardry is this? 😂 The way he was calculating and measuring the angles was amazing to watch. This was one of the most satisfying videos I've ever watched. I subscribed within the first few minutes of the video. 😂 Good job!! The floor turned out beautiful!
와 진짜 각도기처럼 딱 맞춰서 커팅하시네요!!
Been laying floor for 4 years and this guy has me taking notes. Master of his craft. No measuring tape needed! Man that's some skill!

Also as mentioned the roller carts for your bum and rolling materials.
if you google for that kind of flooring does any resemble what you mean? it sounds really nice
@@sharika2006 Not sure if this answers your question, but when you Google "two tone herringbone" there are LOTS of amazing possibilities.
@@GorgonDrageil Thank you for this and im also curious about the 3d effect mentioned above.

@Karl with a K The house I live in now has a similarity installed "hardwood" floor. It didn't even last a year before it started to come up, but I guess that's what you get when you shell out for a "professional job" lmao...
Why would you put glue down flooring over a taped down foam pad??? The glue is supposed to be applied to a solid surface
I'm amazed at how every cut was exactly parallel! ✨ Superb craftsmanship ✨

No matter how many times he shows how to cut perfect angles, I still can't get it. Slow instruction demo please🙏
This is just so satisfying, I imagine myself doing the same thing, and I messed up even in my mind. This work is so flawless.
Absolutely stunning work. Have given me an idea for when i redo my living room and hallway. Its always a pleasure to watch a master at work

I wish the camera had not stopped I wanted to see the piece you first put down you stopped the camera a few times. Great job
This guy's is awesome, I was extremely impressed with the cutting of the tiles to fit the edges and the precision. I have much respect for him.
Its a vinyl flor, freaking easy to cut with carper knife
@@worldnews4347 Yes, but are even sure you actually read what he said before typing this? I was also extremely impressed with the CUTTING OF THE TILES TO FIT THE EDGES AND THE PRECISION…

Holy moly, this guys installation skills are god like! such precision cutting is truly the mark of a master craftsman! outstanding!
My brain still doesn't understand how he was "measuring" the boards to cut them to fit haha I need a broken down tutorial
My brain hurts trying to figure it out.
Thank you! I was going crazy thinking how can I not see it !
Every time you measure with a tape you introduce error. Direct measurement is best followed by a folding rule. A tape is accurate to 1/16th inch on an interior measurement and it takes TIME. On a square layout you can flip the planks ans cut along the already laid ones
Its called working smarter not harder.
It’s because alternate interior angles are congruent. 😬 ( ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )
Este Senhor é um Génio na sua arte. Fita métrica para quê? Geometria, visão, cálculo e perfeição, estão lá. Muitos parabéns pelo seu trabalho.

This was so cool 👀 amazing how everything fit perfectly 💚 I wish everyone would put in so much work just for the floor 🥺
Bro that ground is made of paper, a flyer is wider. Chinese quality
Never seen this floor laying process before brilliant 👏 your calculations for the angles you made look so easy ..
How do you not accidentally cut through onto already laid floor when cutting ?
You do all this so effortlessly.
Fascinating.
👍👍
Muscle memory. After you done thousands, ten of thousand cuttings, you eventually knnow just how deep to cut the tiles.
He's just scoring the tile then snapping it
Score and snap and muscle memory. I do this all day!
It also looks like he's putting a tile under it too
He just controlling his hand not to push hard.
What are you talking about? You bought used houses. Have them inspected
실력도 좋으시고 정말 꼼꼼하게 잘 해주시네요~ 나중에 인테리어를 하게되면 의뢰드리고싶네요ㅎㅎ
😱need explanation on how in the world you making those cuts!!! Gr8 job!
This man is class on his own, i never thought i would enjoy watching a man laying tiles on the floor but i just did and to think that im involved in the housing industry
This dude’s geometry skills are ridic!!!
Literally no corners left unchecked. This is impressive ✨✨✨✨
Very skilled and no time to waste.
Good job.
Even watching every edge cut, I still can’t figure out how he gets it so perfect every time
That is just what happens when you do something every day for years.
It's geometry, he's using the existing flooring he already laid down to measure the angles and lengths most of the time. He lays down the slats over an earlier joint and cuts in a straight line between two corners. Or he takes the piece of flooring he's about to lay down and marks it on the reverse using his cutter.
Theres something called VIDEO EDITION.
Ficou muito bonito bem feito .o rapaz tem muita experiência fique impressionada com a rapidez

This is more painstaking but more accurate.
In what country? Must be the usa if you all are this poorly trained.
impressive! two questions: first, I've seen these kind of floors get gaps between them overtime, how do you prevent that? second, what about the boards near the outdoor opening when it rains, heard water is like poison because wood swells up and rots, how do you prevent that?
Que gran trabajo...digno d admirarse!
Yo ya m hubiera equivocado muchas veces en los cortes y tal vez no m hubiera alcanzado el material!!😅
