I got majorly spoiled Remake release day/day after with my UA-cam recommends on auto-play with the ending. Like, 1: how the flip did they speed run it that fast?! 2: Can you NOT?!?
Needless to say I don’t have auto-play on anymore since then. Good grief.

People that think these trailers show too much don't realize that they're made for people who aren't already in love with the games

I laughed my ass off watching Max veer back into Frame from a distance thinking that spectating from the far side of the room would somehow lighten the impact of those intense spoilers. At least he showed more restraint for spoilers than probably most of us!

I agree. Materia system was already incredible and they made the combat even better; on hard mode it was damn near flawless.
Ff16 sucked ass. I've never felt more betrayed by reviews - it was like an RPG for mentally handicapped people.

I agree, one look at this demo and trailer and I already like it more than FF16, which I put 60-80 + hours into.
Square sees what RGG/Yakuza/Like a Dragon is cooking and say that we should have that too, which honestly is the best possible decision they could have
seeing the side content and creating bonds with your party makes me extremely happy. its something i always wanted to see more in part 1's remake. they really gonna deliver here.

You just made me realize, since in this game we have to defeat the summons to use them… we’ll have to fight the knights of the round, just casting the spell took like an hour (not literally) imagine fighting them in this game. They’ll have to make an intermission sequence every 3-4 knights not to mention dealing with King Arthur! Aahhhhhhhhhhb! The hype aahhhhh 🙌

I was like 12 and got a demo disk with ff7 on it. Made me a gamer.
Same here man same! I was 13 and skipped some school days in 1997 just to play. After playing remake and having been around to witness this I just, am beyond grateful, excited, nostalgic, and ultra hyped 9000 for this game. Played the demo of rebirth and it’s already GOTY for me. See you all at the R-E-U-N-I-O-N later this month gamers!

I like how they brought back the old themes of the locations from the OG game. Makes it even more nostalgic than part 1 as that one was missing some of the old tracks. Man they are making this game really special. They know fans love ff7 and are making sure this will be one heck of a game

Probably wanted to get the ones who ran from the gane at the end of ff7 remake back due to the whole fate thing being broke and were scard that this was gonna be a huge mess of changes no one wanted
I remember when I was little my mom bought me FF7 when it first came out, I didn’t know anything about FF, nor what a turn base game was. I remember enjoying it and then when I got to disc 2 I got extremely overwhelmed and never finished the game. This is a big moment for me because I want to overcome being overwhelmed by really big games especially rpgs.
Watching this SoP has me so clueless to what’s going on and I’m excited because I’m pretty much going in blind after all these years

What is wild to me to be honest is just how these games even look. I can remember the secret videos of the KH games back on PS2 being this cool thing that just didn't seem aesthetically possible, then games like Remake come out proving that they can look even better *and* not just be a CGI cutscene. I never would have believed it would eventually happen.
When I played that demo disk with ff7 on it my mind was blown back in 97 - I didn't think graphics could get any better.
I get what you said about the ptsd towards the golden saucer theme, so many hours spent there side questing, that theme is burned in my mind lol
