Max's reactions for this stuff are the best. You can tell it's genuine joy and not simply hamming it up/being over the top obnoxious because he's on camera/has an audience.
He's also one of the only UA-camr who understands the timeline stuff. Most people are still screaming "ZACK IS ALIVE!"

Actually, that's what it comes off to me sadly. I know he's hyped, but his reaction seems hammy for sure 😂 for the audience. The "was that a pirate ship" , etc all just seemed for show and hard for me to enjoy, but I love the post discussion and can tell he is anticipating it a lot

The og's in the past while this one has 2 timelines where cloud is alive and the other where Zack is alive and even if that ain't the case, he should be alive and present in the current timeline cuz there's no point having 3 mcs in the cover only to have 1 dead. They're incorporating everything good the 7 universe has ever offered and creating something new with it. The og was good but now it's time to look into the future

- The climax of this game will include The Forgotten Capital, but no Wutai until part 3
- You will "control sephiroth in the same part as the original game"
- Not all party members will be playable until part 3, but those that you can not control will be companion characters like Red XIII was in part 1. (This problaly hints that Cid will be a guest character like Red was in Remake)
- No save data transfer, but you get Leviathan for Remake and Ramuh for Intermission episode save data.

Dreams do come true! How lucky are gamers my age who grew up with these amazing games, TV shows and movies, to see them all remastered/revisioned/rebooted????
We get to experience some of our most favorite, all-time beloved moments again, 10-30 years later.
I know a lot of people are tired of things like Superhero movies and reboots, but we would be lying if we said that we never wanted all of these things to exist, the first and second time around.
I'm so happy that Square-Enix has put some much love and consideration into FF7 and Super Mario RPG.

The fact that Cloud and Sephiroth are fighting together and seeing Vincent is like a dream come true...
That might be during the Nibelheim flashback on main timeline Cloud's side thinking he was Zack.
I wont lie I screamed like a school girl in excitement when I saw Vincent backflip.
I have absolutely zero interest in seeing cloud and sephiroth fighting together. I don't want to see Batman and Joker fighting together. Sometimes the point of a good villain is to be a good villain, not every villain that hits a certain level of popularity needs to be turned into an antihero so fanboys and girls can squee.

I find it very interesting though we haven't seen Cid yet. He is the only part member we haven't seen. We have seen Vincent and the Weapons before Vincent.
The screaming from Max went right into my soul as pure joy.
Nothing gets me going more than a genuine max happy freak out; they are so wholesome.
FYI: The Summon that appears after Alexander but before Odin is Kujata.
And Tifa encountering a Weapon is possibly during Boogenhaggen explanation segment.
Damn I was thinking why it so familiar its the summon that deal all multiple element attack at enemy that you get at the ancient forest!

Max’s reactions are priceless. I remember finally getting into final fantasy and 7 remake being my first and falling in love with the game and series. Playing that game during 2020 and staying up was so fun. So good that I had to 100% it. Just seeing this trailer sets me back years.

I personaly played OG7, a little bit of 4, i played the 13 trilogy, 15 and 7 remake. I do recently play 14 too and i love it. (Too much lol)

I never get tired of watching Max lose his sh*t over FF7 stuff. The enthusiasm and joy is just heartwarming!
What I love about Max's reactions is that he does it the way it's supposed to be. He watches it once and has all his crazy reactions, talking over it and just fanboying out, and then he watches it again to analyze it. That's the way it -should- be done instead of the usual reaction videos where people overreact over everything and you don't know if they heard anything, if they're faking it or whatever. Keep it up dood, every time you drop a Final Fantasy-related video, it's a joy to watch!
Out of all the youtubers/content creaters max's reaction always gives me the chills and you can really tell he's reaction is genuine. It's always a pleasure and a great joy watching your videos max!

A nice little easter egg at the end of Cloud and Sephiroth's team up attack is that their last strike ends in a an "X-Strike" like Crono and Frog's double tech "X-Strike" in Chrono trigger.
The reference is both to the double tech AND the fact Frog and Sephoroth both are wielders of a sword named Masamune.
My favorite thing about Max is that almost his whole channel is deep love of fighting games and yet the thing that makes him flip his shit the most is FF7. His enthusiasm got me to try out Remake and i'm glad it did.

The moment I saw cloud and sephiroth fighting alongside got me so pump up and seeing Vincent again just makes it all the better. Plus, the whole area and locations are so much better looking and the awe in scale is so awesome. I just can’t wait to take on many sub stories and side quests and will try to do everything and anything that the game has to offer. This is the only final fantasy game that I enjoy the most and no other can top it. To me this is The Final Fantasy.

This is truly what gaming is about. I love his reaction to this game because it’s genuinely one of his favorites and this is how most people who play games feel about there favorite franchise. Sucks that not every company is trying to be as caring and loving to there fans and developing of there best titles.

Yeah it looks awesome. You’ll love it if it follows the original as the game opens up a lot as soon as you leave Midgar. Gold Saucer in particular looks like a great place for them to dump side quests again.

Been waiting for this one. I cannot wait for rebirth. I've played through remake three times since I got it on release day back in 2020. I'm so glad the wait for part 2 is almost over.
The beachwear costumes make sense when the group are infiltrating CodS - perhaps even a cheeky reference to Tidus, and the Segway could be used for transport upto Corel? The ships could be Mideel, but probably Wutai; and that location with the cyan chocobo is new to me, could be a re-imagined Corel/Prison area.
Its clear Tifa in Zack's timeline is the girl in the blue hat, but the bearded guy at Rufus's inauguration looks new to me

I am so happy I chose to watch the state of play on your stream. I usually watch new stuff on my own so I can process it but I decided to just watch via your stream and I’m so glad I did, the hype was outstanding 😂 plus the like two hours of discussion after was amazing lol so excited for this, we’ve been waiting for this moment for YEARS
So for the cat character, I checked what his name was in Japanese and what I saw was it 「ケットシー 」which a direct English spelling would be “ketto shii”. So his name would actually be pronounced Ket Shi or just Cat Sith (a Scottish, Irish folklore creature). Cat Sith is literally what the Japanese is saying. So I guess you can say it either way. Cat Sith or Ket Shi. Or you can pronounce it the JP way Ketto Shii. So the way SE translated that name was kinda weird but I guess Cait Sith is just another way of saying cat sith. Who knows
I think they changed it a bit so it wasn't just a generic word that already exists as a creature, so that the character feels like it has its own identity. While also not hiding the fact that it is heavily inspired by the cat-sith
It's correct, Cat Sith is pronounced like that in Gaelic
also how japanese pronounce "cat" usually キャット (kyatto) instead of ケット (ketto), so there is a big chance that it was "cait" all along. I might be wrong tho.
I think it would be great if Cait himself said it the traditional way as Ket Shi, while Barret refers to him as Cait Sith and everyone else just follows his pronunciation.

I was concerned about how Cait Sith ("Cat Shee" in Scottish Gaelic) was going to look and fit in, but seeing the level of detail in this game, I actually love it.

I feel like cover of the game box has symbolism to it as well. Sephiroth obviously has a bunch of evil and destruction behind him, but Zack has the blue skies that we see in crisis core when he says “I want wings like those” and then I guess clouds part is either mako or space??
As soon as the first frame of the trailer hits my first thought it "I can't wait until we see Max's reaction."
This was such a perfect trailer, showing us so many amazing places, combat, characters. It was all in there! Wonder why we see a weapon alredy, that is crazy! They changing up these locations a lot i guess!

I’m fairly certain the scene with Tifa and the “weapon” is Tifa watching Emerald Weapon emerge from a viewing area on the submersible. Surprised I haven’t seen this mentioned yet, as that’s a huge reveal - the fact that we get to possibly take on Ruby and Emerald in Rebirth is awesome. This trailer broke my brain.
I mean, it’s possible. Who knows with this game. Personally, I think it’s in Cosmo Canyon as part of the “this is how the world works” explanation.

It is insane that they are actually doing it. It is so clear that square knows how important this fucking story is, and they are putting every inch of effort into making this as perfect as it we ever thought it could be.
Totally agree. It's absolutely impressive how they're actually dealing so well with the expectations of remaking one of the greatest, most important videogames of all times. If somebody told me this would happen like 10 years ago, I would claim such thing to be impossible.
Everybody who played the original at release shouldn't be taking this for granted. They're actually remaking FF7 and they're delivering everything a fan would've wanted. Well, aside from the turn-based purists, of course.
This hype is so infectious, I didn't grow up with FF7 and while I do get excited watching these trailers the first time around these reactions amplify it so much

This was epic honestly, I can't wait. The story, the settings, even the mini games. So much packed into one trailer that I hope is as well thought out as it seems to be. Max reminds me of how I'm gonna be acting when we get more Kingdom Hearts 4 news, especially a release date. Hoping they reintroduce FF into the series there, too.
The game is not too hard to make for a group of like 100 professionals.
Why? Well they got the old games. I bet at least 75% of the game is just a bigger and better version of the old game. They don't have to come up with idea's from scratch. They HAVE the source material.

Every step of the trailer was amazing, I was already waiting a video from max the second it dropped haha
Scenes this time around show Zack with actual materia in the Buster Sword in an in game cutscene like how it would look with Cloud when he has materia set. We all pretty much already knew but Zack is definitely a playable character. Interesting that Rebirths first trailer showed Cloud in his flashback in his current outfit but in the scene with Sephiroth when they fight together in this one he's in an official Soldier outfit. *Could* mean they just simply corrected things or the scene from the first trailer wasn't a flashback. Don't wanna get too far down the rabbit hole on that one 😅
