Prediction: There was only one way to make us feel the pain of a certain moment twice. And that's to wholeheartedly convince us through this whole alternative plotline buisness that it might not happen. To give us hope. And then have it happen anyway.
Given nomuras statement about being nervous how ppl will take the ending of rebirth, I think aerith will survive only to have to die in part 3. They give us that hope and we do save her but only to prolong the inevitable
Aerith is going to live and stay in Zack's timeline lol.
I can only compare this to riding a massive intense roller coaster.
Right now, we waited in line, hearing those before us scream with the trills. Now we're stepping up to the train and strapping in. With the demo dropped, the train is leaving the station and we've started climbing the hill.
It's slow, and you can feel the chains rattle, the wind's gentle breeze as you get higher and you're getting a nice view, but the anxiety and excitement is also building. We'll get to the top just as the clock hits Feb 29th 2024. And then we'll drop just as the game does.
Barret said it perfectly: "There ain't no gettin' offa this train we're on."

As soon as she shows up I knew it was Cissnei even before Square confirmed it recently.
@aaronhathorn3451 No, nobody has to acknowledge it but the point is that it's been unknown whether she was alive at the time of ff7 and this confirmed it. So the people into the lore were the ones it meant something to.

Calling now GOTY contender already, between this and dragon’s Dogma 2 which that game I’m looking forward to the most this year but this is neck and neck in terms of close second, literally feels like such a quality craftsmanship that’s being put into the game, tons of things to do and it doesn’t feel like busy work which is the best part. Just a beautiful and interesting interconnected world with a moving and emotional story, excellent English voice acting, and engaging hybrid combat that’s even expanded from remake. It’s perfect you can’t ask for anything better than that.
This game is already goty💀 dd2 isn’t shit compared to this

But both games still have big expansive and interesting open worlds, interesting characters, incredible music, sights to see and things to do, fast action combat while adopting a hybrid of strategy, and both look incredible. Only major things that are missing is a unique identity for a gripping and emotional story, the summons, the materia, and the fun mini games. Call it what you will but I believe both games will be amazing and fun games in their own respective ways upon launch. Square enix and Capcom are both Japanese development companies anyways so no doubt both games are sure to shine at their respective peaks.

5:55 FINALLY someone who aknowledged that scene! I've watched countless people just skipping over it without either noticing or believing it. Still, I have a feeling that Aerith handing over the White Materia will have a much bigger impact on things. I think putting that scene right before that huge finale means they want to distract you.
That Sephiroth line, "good, Cloud...filled that hollow heart with rage" is really chessy.

I dont think he'll have a party at all. I dont even think that he'll be playable, cutscenes only. But if he's playable, he wont have a party, dude was always going solo breaking the limits.

Those special attacks remind me a lot of the KH3 specials. Which were too much. I hope they dont feel as frequent? Not sure.

The game is 1000% baiting you with hope only to ensure that they twist that knife as deep as the Masamune will pierce down.
Its interesting that you can go on that infamous date at the gold saucer with essentially anyone in your party now, (don't go with Yuffie she's 16). l like how close their keeping to the original game (even the goofy stuff) but at the same time adding tons of new content as well.

If it's like Remake, the exclusivity limit is before you can even announce the game on another platform. So if PC advertise start late may, expect it to launch around July.
Or they can do a High Fi Rush on us and just add it to Steam and let the game name carry all advertisement on itself.

Oh yeah this is gonna be SO AMAZING!!! Finally we're gonna see Cissnei and what she's been doing all this time since after the events of Crisis Core. Also it looks like Cloud might actually be SAVING Aerith this time and I really hope it's true!
