Speaking of things that happen in the brain, the way this guy speaks and presents, with the repetitions and the humor (big bad boy) is very hypnotic for me and greatly helps me learn! Funnily enough, it reminded me of reading the Buddhist scriptures with the repetition lol Idk if it’s by design, but it sure helps me relax and take it in and I think his presentation itself was activating serotonin
the amine hypotesis is ovverrated. for example I have a chronic form of depression that is mainly physical, (I feel tired, sleepy lack of energy) and I have tried almost all class of antidepressants, they are ineffective. the chronic forms of depressions are linked to sleep and to the amount of Oxygen/Energy we accumulate during night and release during the day, which is altered in some people with traumas of lack of stimulus. this is my theory as a patient. i think that it doesn't still existe a cure for my disorder.
Hi. I think amine hypothesis will be updated in a certain aspects, its just the matter of time. But i, personally, don't think, that it's related to Oxygen/Energy at night, simply because organism don't work in such general terms. For example, energy deficient state - can cause deprivation of serotonin in neurons etc. for example, and it can affect general state. All roads eventually lead to a neurotransmission.
