How much better are yhe gradient transitions than Govee Lyra? I find Lyra quite choppy woth slow speeds, which agitates me. Does philips get rid of that or can you still see the slight stutter of the light?
Thinking of buying one off Facebook marketplace, before I pick it up I was gonna look it up by serial number. Is the serial number on the box or on the product?
The gradient stip ambiiant strip are much cheaper now. Can i make my own signe with a generic floor stand and then change the strip out to the phillips strip?
@adamtalkstech I'm giving it a go. I've ordered some WiZ floor lamps from Amazon. I like the design and has a diffuser lens and lots of space to work on it internally to fit the hue gradient strip.
No local integration is a big NO. It's not just price and app... Hue plays with HomeAssistant with local internet... the other has an internet registration wall and gets bricked when their cloud service goes down AND sells your usage data.
Great review: thorough, logical, knowledgeable. Nice fluent delivery too, with no exaggerated UA-cam mannerisms. My compliments, Adam.
That price is absolutely insane. An esp, diyhue, hue essentials, and ws2811 and you can build 8 of those that work with anything.
A lot of people just don’t want to go through the work of building things. The price is ridiculous for sure.
Doesn’t work with hue sync if you value that
The price of the light is about gradients and light blending. It won't change the color of your furniture or walls.
Now this is a thorough review
Thank you so much!

How long is the power cable?
Imagine wanting two of these for your tv. With the sync box, that's almost £1k for some fancy lighting.
Sounds cool
Sold

Should be on both I think

You technically could but it would need to fit perfectly or trim it. And you would need a diffuser

What’s the light at the back of your desk?
Probably my favorite light - the Hue Gradient Light Bar. Here is my review of this light: ua-cam.com/video/G6Wp1E798lA/v-deo.html
Where is the serial number located on the lamp?
I think on the cord.
How many watts in the brighest setting?
I didn't hear ANYTHING after you dropped that price. That is RIDICULOUS! It has nothing that can justify that crazy price.
I’m having trouble connecting it to Alexa…it won’t detect.
are you connecting it to your hue account with a bridge?
@@adamtalkstech no I don’t have a bridge is one required for voice activation?
@@ESW206 Yeah you have to use a bridge for smart home integrations or control away from home

All good points
Does this work with Siri?
Yes if you have the bridge and connect the bridge through HomeKit.
THE PRICE IS INSANE.... TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT.
Definitely and insane price
@@adamtalkstech However, you did a great review, and that is a plus! Good job...
Govee versions are on sale 60 bucks each and theyre awesome I bought 2
@@mrslickdetailer9652I love Govee, but wish they made a table lamp version like hue does..
