- This is a tutorial for building six, simple, Brick Bending designs with a WLWYB geometric LEGO kit. If you need a gift for that person in your life who has everything--I promise you they don't have this. 😁 These kits help support this channel, as well as a great company that supports custom LEGO moc creators.
Note: Caveman minifig (and friend) not included. They're very happy living with me at the moment.

It is the year 2078. The wind blows peacefully over the lush grass meadows..."it's a nice evening", I say to myself. Yet I can still hear all the hundreds of lego voices screaming for mercy like it all happened just yesterday.
Lol
Can’t believe you made a pack!
I like his builds and am happy to see him grow, but 100$ for 500 pieces which are mainly little 2x1 bricks is a total rip-off. You can buy brand new pieces in bulk for 3-4ct per brick instead of 20ct. Really disappointed to see him do something like this
@@gknucklez i think you have ligma
@@gknucklez He orders them, compiles the set, designed the packaging, instructions, payed to produce them. But the customer only needs to buy it.
There are also many original Lego sets with small pieces that cost way more than they should.
@@Kyleman51 Yes, real Lego is very expensive and people rightfully give them shit for their pricing, usually it is around 11ct per piece but you get a variety of bricks that you can use to build your own stuff, not just ~4 different bricks that you shouldnt use for anything else than brickbending.
Also no, he probably doesn‘t have to do anything now. The website he works with more than likely buys the parts and ships them, they probably did most of the design as well, he just told them, how many pieces are needed and gets a cut from the sales + advertising from the website.
The website can buy the tiny pieces in huge bulk which leads to discounts, I guess they pay around 1ct per piece. So you tell me, someone buys Lego for $6, puts a fancy label on it and sells it for $100 and this is for some reason not outrageous?
@@gknucklez I will say it probably cost a bit more. I would estimate it cost them 15-20 dollars including packaging.
When your friend comes over to your house and sees these on a shelf: *visible confusion*
What if you get enough to make the shelves out of lego? hysteria?
I loved it! You've just added a new dimension to LEGO, with all this “illegal” constructions.
I love that you've made such a versatile kit!
Now how do you manage to disassemble them in the correct proportions every time??
If you've ever seen a really experienced carpenter work with wood, they just *know* how to manipulate it. I know these bricks really, really well. 😁
@@BrickBending Either that, or multiple takes ;)
@@BrickBending good analogy! You’re INCREDIBLE
Amazing. The Brick Bender has a Lego set! The plate indicators are a great help if we wanna build something like this
I love how your always like “wow that’s a big piece” then he just brings up 10 of them in screen
im so glad you did this
Bent Lego structure: *exists*
Those 2 Lego charcters: allow us to introduce ourselves
I’m sure it may sound odd, but I really like seeing your hands as opposed to your usual gloves. I know the gloves help keep things looking neat, but it’s cool to see all the callouses and scars from the legos. It’s adds character to some sense.
The genius continues. I love the simplicity of it.
Im speechless 😶 this is amazing!
Half the draw of these videos is the sound the lego makes when being stressed. I really like how it pitches up
I look forward to the caveman's appearance in each vid. He just really adds a special pop to the finished product shot. I see he has a friend now! Congrats on the kit! I hope its a big success for you, and look forward to seeing future kits. Stay bendy, friend! 💢⭕➰🔹
How did Lego approve your "illegal" techniques to the point of releasing a set? 🤯🤯
They did not this is not an official Lego set this from an Ransome trustworthy seller
@@Ropro1808 OK, that makes way more sense lol.
To be fair, they did promote him on their Twitter feed, even if this set isn't official.
@@SupersuMC They promoted this? Or other stuff he did?
@@joevictor53 Stuff he has done in the past. This kit just came out.
Based on their past behavior, LEGO marketing will never make any comments about a commercial product that they don't completely control.
Their biggest fear is looking like they are affiliated with a company with bad customer service.
I have never bought anything so fast before
super smart move. really hope it takes off. Maybe make some videos about how the process is relaxing or could be used for art pieces.
Really good idea to made a starter 571 pieces pack with 407 brick 1x2 (300426) and 164 plate 1x2 (302326), and i really love the job you did, but the price the site ask for the kit is with a mrgin of 50% more expensive than if I bought the parts in batch on the LEGO site ... If the margin was for 20% maximum, I would not have hesitated to take one, but the price difference is quite substantial...
and then convert that to AuS $ and it becomes $141 dollars for the kit. free shipping though. wonder how long it will, take to get to me at Wait Awhile (western Australia)….lol
I have no problem with anyone sourcing their own bricks through a local LEGO store, bricklink.com, etc. But the business side of creating custom kits with packaging, shipping, returns, etc gets expensive fast. But in the big picture, I want as many people building as possible, however they do it. : )
@@BrickBending I totally understand small business costs and I have supported your bravery by purchasing a set….
I am mesmerised by your work and this was the ‘sign/gift’ I needed to motivate me to pursue my passion…thank you
…And Lego officially said YES?
No
Lego has actually uploaded a video on facebook put together with small bits of many of your bending technics including twisting squares showing the final results of you Lego builds.
The one that has always and WILL always get me, is the circle. Just looking at a circle made of lego, it. . . it just hurts my brain and I love it! 👍
He did it, he made a lego pack
Yo this is sick
This is awesome! Would you consider making a pack for the sunflower? Selfishly speaking, that’s the one i’ve been pricing out the loose pieces for :)
Yes! It's on my list. Over time I'd love to have a kit for every viable design in my collection.
@@BrickBending if you ever make a DNA kit you can be sure I'll buy it!
Hm, wonder why is Santa making an appearance together with the cavemen... hmm...
My gift is subtly. 😂
I love this channel! One question before buying: when creating a set with a lot of tension, how long will it last before if falls to pieces?
Wooooow
Now, the brick bending is cannon ^^
Greetings from Croatia :3
Hello!
You can tell how long hes done lego for by his index and thumb conditions. Hard pointy edges and studs being pried off at angle with soft fleshy bits definitely do some wear and tear.
That increase in pitch when you make that final bend
Is it safe to label the pack with Lego? That's a trademark, and we're clearly seeing a lot of confusion about it being an official product. I'd hate to see you get sued. Is this a normal process?
Well, it is LEGO bricks that he is selling though, but I get what you mean. I did a little digging as far as I can tell WLWYB is the one selling it, and it seems to be legit.
It's my understanding that if 'LEGO' is used as an adjective it's okay. This is a LEGO kit, as opposed to a kit made by LEGO. Plus WLWYB has been doing this for a while with a lot of other customer MOC creators. But if the LEGO Group had any problem, I'm sure we'd change it.
@@BrickBending hi
Your videos are just, so, so good
The sound of so satisfying I love how you can do cool stuff with your Legos. And I'm glad you opened a shop.🎖
buying that
Water, earth, wind, fire, *Lego*
This is so rad!!
I can just imagine this lego loop full of various colors! I'd try that for myself, but I know I don't have enough pieces.
Something about your videos is very calming, I also love your new set. Definitely something I’d buy.
I don't think I've ever heard such demonic lego screaming as this
I would absolutely buy it if it wasn't $100. (I'm not complaining about the price, I think it's reasonable, I'm just broke lol)
@AMB-Music well it is genuine lego bricks(i think) and those are very expensive
Buying the bricks directly from lego would only be around 60$..
@@johannaw1436 maybe, I guess it depends on the amount of bricks in the pack, do we know how many that is?
@@johannaw1436 also I don't think lego sells individual bricks
@@johannaw1436 gotta add the instructions. Or buy your own and do it yourself.
Nice got your own Lego brand now
Does this damage the bricks?
For black bricks it's very unlikely you'd ever break one building these designs. But over time it will definitely leave small stress marks on the bricks, and they start to fit more loosely. But if you're only making curved geometric art, that's a feature and not a bug.
It looks really epic
.
..
Always love the lego gentleman for scale
Why would I pay 100$ when I can get it on the lego website for under 60?
We love the kit. However, the circle is extremely difficult to close. Had you considered making it a larger diameter so it’s a little easier to finish? Or were you going for the smallest possible diameter??
Awesome you know sell sets!
To all you “Lego lawyers” squawking about the “illegality” of these builds, I say this: “ I reject your lego legality and substitute my own”!
I'm just curious, is there a formula that you keep on hand to tell you that you need such an amount of bricks to make a certain degree curve?
this is awesome, you made a pack for these "totally-legal" builds. a question though, will you create other packs for other builds??
That's amazing! You've grown so fast!
Can you make a little and easier to do one pls?
Yes. I'm hoping to start a video series of small, very simple builds.
@@BrickBending thank you
OMG so happy you have a shop now!!! 🤩
I need to buy this
This is so cool! I make jewelry out of Lego and have difficulty finding enough of the right pieces. I could make lots of stuff after making all the shapes.
This is awesome! 🔥👏
This proves that circle is made out of squares, and pi = 4
Nope
-Orthodox Lego builder: He's a heretic, start the fire!
Amazing‼️🤗✅🖤🔥
Congratulations‼️🥰
with the last one you really reached the top 😭
I d love to see how much lego you own. It has to be like to garages full of lego right?
Wait, you’re allowed to do that?
1:50 --Чувствую боль каждый раз
04:35 - the image of the Wankel engine immediately appeared in my head😁
Such a cool kit. Great video here.
Take my money 💰💸
It still hurts when your Legos sound like walking over floorboards
The sound of it as it was bending….. it was like a plasma grenade waiting to go off.
4:30 rip apex seals
Shut up and take my money
I hope that this amazing kit won't be blocked for it's "illegal" appearance lol
Why would you go with lego though? A 100 bucks for a few pieces... no. That was a very bad decision.
I think price is his fault, not LEGO's. The other day I saw LEGO Classic set with 4500 bricks for about $65 at a local store.
LEGO Classic is good in this way that you are just paying for bricks, not the associated license and you don't get instructions so that you can build whatever you want.
Agreed, he could have gone with cheaper LEGO compatible brick building brands.
@@UltimatePerfection Non-discounted LEGO sets are typically priced in the neighborhood of US$0.10 per brick-usually rounded up to the nearest marketing-savvy number (e.g. $34.99, $59.99). It goes a little lower if there are more small pieces (studs & other 1x1s are in the $0.03 to $0.06 range), but that's enough to give you a general ballpark.
In the US, the only time I've consistently seen discounts on new LEGO are the Classic sets put together as part of "Black Friday" sales. Having bought a number of these discounted Classic sets, I can confirm that they typically make up half or more of their piece count in the smaller/cheaper pieces. Furthermore, these discounted sets are designed to be "Starter" sets to get kids hooked on LEGO-so they contain a *very wide* variety of piece shapes and not very many of any individual shape. From one of the 1500-piece sets I picked up on a BF sale (and still had intact, with no pieces in other builds) I didn't actually have enough 1x2 bricks & plates to do even the simplest of the designs shown in this video.
For example, the largest Classic set actually sold directly by LEGO is this one: www.lego.com/en-us/product/bricks-bricks-plates-11717 at just over 1,500 pieces for MSRP $69.99. It contains approximately 210 1x2 bricks and 52 1x2 plates. If you can get your hands on 4500+ new LEGO pieces for under $70, it might be worth it to buy them up and resell the pieces individually on bricklink; that's a pretty hefty discount, even if it were 4,500 studs!
Alternatively, you can go to bricklink or use LEGO's pick-a-brick and buy the 517 pieces in this set (in your choice of colors) for around $50-$60.
I'm more curious about the stock-market-like feed of bricks at the top of the store page.
It's pretty fascinating. Each LEGO piece has a price that can be tracked over time--not unlike the stock market.
This is amazing but cursed
how many pieces are in the pack?
and by the way, youre really a genius!
Dare you to make a normal lego piece.
Bet you cant.
i love your videos very , its very nice , its very good 👍😉
thats nice lego art pack but i dont see lot of bricks worth for any shape
"Bearded guy watches other bearded guy holding his stick in strange and unusual positions."
"Abuser shares video of his victims in different positions."
Just out of curiosity... Does the sequence of putting the bricks together affect how the tension is spread across them? Or is it just for the benefit of us watching?
I do adjust the order to benefit the video creation process, but there definitely is a methodology in some builds for managing the tension. Great question!
This guy has to be cheating. Idk how you can cheat at legos but this guy managed to do it XD
So we can buy these packs ??
Its cool that you made it an actual set but Ooooh Boy, there will be so much hate for this😂
Why?
Cuz he uses "illeagal building techniques"
Your sets look more torturous than a lego technic 5000 piece
Amazing 👏 👏 👏
merchandizing!😃
I WANT THISSS!!
Me to
i think i already have those bricks lol
Since this is your own pack does that mean it was made purely for taking stresses?
"Lego Kit" Oh, oh. Lego lawsuit incoming
even for lego bricks $99 seems pretty expensive for this
It is
can you make more than one at a time with this kit? or is there just enough bricks for only one design at a time?
To paraphrase Adam Savage.
Have you considered Brickbending your logo?
What lego color is most durable? I want to get into brick bending, but I don't have much money so I need to buy bricks that will last several builds. I know brown bricks are the worst, but which are the best?
I think black.
поднялся с колен
yikes the stress on the pieces
another title for this pack could be infinite 1 by 2 pieces
your fingers are completely peeled
Wait a minute? Your style of build was approved by lego ?
Congratulations!
No it was not.
