A massive, crazy, LEGO build
Вставка
- Опубліковано 27 лис 2021
- I recently renamed this creation to ‘The Mega Noodle Torus’ (that name just sings, right?) as it’s a LEGO noodle build I’ve had for many years, but its only in the weeks before making this video that I’ve finally added enough bricks to connect it as a full torus.
This variation of the LEGO noodle technique is more rigid than the others, and I deliberately kept the length as short as possible in order to make the final build as rigid as I could-otherwise it would really sag under its own weight (more than it already does). And this thing is heavy-I almost pulled a muscle making that final connection 😂
And although it’s crazy weird and has a lot of interesting and strange properties, it really is a beautiful build. And doing it in lime green and yellow definitely made it more fun. I can’t wait until I make this thing even BIGGER. 😁
Torus diameter: ~23.25in / 59cm
Torus inner circumference: 168 studs

FYI: Title changed from "Another LEGO build to blow your mind". Also trying out a few different thumbnails.
i guess it worked for me 😄
nice
wow - flip it inside out and you could build lego city inside that roll when it spin
Haven't seen your videos in a while, glad to see your still at it with these mind blowing builds
Got my curious brain
The fact that it sags a bit when it’s a wheel means that he can actually make it with fewer parts and tighter. That’s a scary thought
You're 100% correct, but making that final connection takes some 'play' to make it happen. But I'm always striving for that optimal amount of tension.
@@BrickBending and I love it every time! Keep up the incredible work!! Strongly considering making some of my own!
@@BrickBending I think for ideal tension you'll need to make the circle at the same time as connecting the two halves.
But the sagging is good, because if he were to strengthen the center, and build 4 more plus the rest of the car, then having wheels with a little give is a necessity. As small objects won't ruin the wheel that way by putting too much stress into the system. That's why we use Rubber Tires. Because they have a lot of give.
Brick builders were relieved to find their bricks weren’t being pushed to the limit
Anyone else waiting for the day he posts another "crazy" build and it just turns out to be him building a normal Lego set
April fools next year?
Bro that's crazy
Or like those tiny x wing builds
Even that would be epic
Oh god please no
I love the "wait, this is illegal" moments of this channel. Everything looks so normal and repetitive and then suddenly you need to call the lego lawyer XD
You don't even need to call a lawyer, this is a LPD call
4:20
420, whatcha smokin’?
As beautiful as this is, I don't know what's under more stress: The bricks, or me looking at and hearing said bricks
I can't tell if I'm more amazed that this guy made a circle with Legos, or that he has enough of the same color to make the whole build out of just yellow and green bricks haha
There are sites where you can buy singular pieces of the same colour by the thousands
@@orangesg529 wh

I fear no man... But that thing... (People who build things out of lego entirely in one singular colour some how) it scares me...
This man's endless ingenuity is a strange sort of testament to the manufacturing quality of Lego bricks
And this man’s endless supply of Lego bricks is a sort of testament to the manufacturing quantity of Lego bricks
I love the 'X' shapes it makes on the outside! Really cool to see you bending along the vertical axis of the brick
I like how it always starts with 4 pieces and slowly descends into madness
This is genuinely an excellent way to demonstrate maths, especially integration. A perfect circle can be made up on a infinite amount of rectangular segments and this demonstrates it beautifully.
I couldn't agree more!
well tecnically... ah whatever
Lol
@@philipplins2012 Technically this is made up of thousands of trapezoids, not rectangles? That's what I was thinking anyway. Proud of you for holding back. lol
@@titusdaniel More like you can’t actually make a *perfect* circle out of rectangles, just an increasingly accurate approximation. It’s like rectangular integration.
This guy has a real life copy/paste button for legos
Ik man
That's the ultimate lego dream...
4:51 I can't wrap my head around it, I know it's something to do with the lighting, but am I the only one getting like a trippy eye optical illusion when it rolls in almost like it's moving left but rolling right according to the light bouncing off of it in a weird way?
Glad I’m not the only one thinking my eyesight went bad
This comment is a year old, but I'm gonna respond anyway: It's not actually the lighting, but rather involves the frame-rate of the video, and is called the Wagon Wheel Effect. You can look it up for more information, but basically the ratio between how frequently still images are captured in the video and how fast a wheel spins determines whether the wheel appears to be rotating forward, backward, or even staying still when viewed back.
@@azranova Hehe no worries, thanks for the reply, I know of the effect you mention, same thing happen on car wheels and well... Wagons, hence the name. 😝
So yee you're right, I had an idea why it was happening but it's just strange to see it in action with such a clear and sudden random example mid lego video. 😝
But alright enough of my novel 🤣 take care man and thanks. 😊👍
Awesome Gloves 🧤. And cool brick art.
I was so happy to see the other half, knowing you were going to make a complete circle!

I stopped to like this comment but noticed the perfect number, congrats fam
Can you please make another epic build and spell Allah with the legos????
Yes that's when it went full circle
you know that will create religional problemsbright?
Wow, the tension in this one is _weird._ The way it snapped back when you released it suggested the tension is huge, but the full circle sags under its own weight, which suggests it isn't.
To be fair, it weighs a lot more than it looks
it's just heavy as fuck
@@LousyCreepers just like this guys profile picture
@@Foxcatcher22 that’s rude
@@animeguygaming4803 yep
This channel could also be called "Things you never had the chance to learn about structural integrity because you were never rich enough to have this much Lego."
this is what type of wheels cavemen would make if there wasn't any stone
I think it would be funny to just spend 5 straight minutes building something that gets more and more elaborate, building it up like it's going to be something amazing, only to put it all together and have it just be a solid, inflexible, rectangular block that does absolutely nothing. April fool's, maybe?
YES
Hints the caveman
The jump cuts are satisfying
Saying that this is satisfying is an understatement
I’m just wondering how he has figured out how to do all of these epic builds.
Just by trying out many combinations.
It almost looks like a truck tire when he stands it.
Acid
I know, right? I think the same thing with every build. My mind just doesn't think of Lego in the same way
Trial and error
You KNOW we were in for a special treat when there were two different colored bricks in the thumbnail
only 1 build away from a lego landmine based on the sounds it made, good job.
This is just madness at this point, it's huge!
So when you just had the first half, you showed us that it could flex towards any of it's four sides. I presume you chose that side because it looks the most like a tire, but I'd be really interested to see what it looks like bending in the other three sides.
This is a variation of an earlier build that you can see here: ua-cam.com/video/lIuUxFc8dB4/v-deo.html I think that might have similar views to the ones you're after. 👍🏻
You can use it as a tyre too lol
@@BrickBending should have made the studs go the inside and have the caveman sitting inside of the wheel!
Check Out 'brick bending experiment, he does similar tests'
It totally makes sense to be wearing gloves.
He surely doesn't want to leave fingerprints, given that all of his builds are using *illegal* building techniques.
heh
@@Exoblix shut
Lego snobs always cry illegal. So long as he isn't in a competition, it's the wild west.
Lol, see what you did there
@@deweyandhisdecimals6736 indeed
yes please, more of this
Your videos never cease to amaze me
The gloves are a nice touch... Classy!
I imagine a good amount of grip was sacrificed though....
I guess guitarists don't show off their calluses either. It's dry outside, innit
No matter how many times I watch this channel I still get a pit in my stomach whenever he goes to bend things into place lol
We can't deny the fact that the click of his legos are too satisfying to click off of.
These builds should be in a museum
One of the most impressive parts is that it doesn't fall apart under its own weight when stood up on the side
I can feel all the Lego bricks screaming in pain
They're living their best lives : )
I don’t know what emotion I just experienced watching this video, but it was certainly something!
This guy just finds every way to make circles out of lego and I’m all for it.
Make more builds from different color variations please!!!, The color make this so much more interesting 👌👌
I totally agree. Most of my bricks are black, but as I'm expanding I'm adding as many colors to my palette as possible.
"Please double it ..., please double it"
...
Doubles it.
There's just something so satisfying about seeing two disembodied hands building with Lego
Amazing that it's pliable in all 4 directions, truly a feat of engineering!
I didn't even know if this was possible! The bricks are really strong plastic!
Good point. I wonder if the bricks I played with as a kid ( made 60 yrs ago) would have worked for this. They were strong but maybe not as flexible.
@@ryuuguu01 i think the brick itself is rigid, that's why he use a lot of small bricks instead of less but bigger ones. The trick (in this and other builds in the channel) is that the bricks can rotate around the stud (and this requires the overlap must be a single stud; even two stud overlap will lock the bricks together)
Just so y’all know, the bricks aren’t flexing as much as you think, the way he built them has it so the bricks rotate on their connection joint. Because the bricks are small, it creates the illusion of them bending when in reality they aren’t.
The black gloves on white background is nice, but I gotta be honest, I do prefer seeing your hands. Starting from your first video they focused more and more on the builds themselves rather than your personality as their builder which works pretty well, but I think seeing at least your hands is nice to at least retain the human aspect in these builds.
I totally appreciate that. The gloves are an experiment, and if nothing else I don't think black was the right color choice here.
@@BrickBending yeah, I think it's great that you're trying stuff out. The channel isn't that old yet so of course you wouldn't be dead set on how to frame your videos just yet. This wasn't meant to discourage you anyway, it was just my personal opinion regarding this particular video. Keep trying different colours, I'm looking forward to see how that'll work out! :D
@@BrickBending You can try with latex.
@Lunny Only for fans, obviously.
That was wonderful! It's interesting to see some Lego blocks that are made of "hard plastic" bending like that.
the amount of stress these lego bricks go through is the same i go through on a daily basis, i am now a lego brick in this guys universe and i’m not sure how i feel about this.
Wow, I love the different patterns of spreading that let it stretch in different directions. I wonder if you could do a multi-colored build that is like that donut that rolls through itself to present different external colors.
A nice gradient of bricks would be so satisfying
I think that would be very doable, and pretty sweet. I just need to extend my brick supply. : )
@@BrickBending and here I thought you just had infinite bricks
@@HunterTheSimp he does, he’s just hiding it from us
This and other posts got me to thinking about a BB MOEBIUS STRIP. I'm probably slow to game though. BB very likely already has it more than 50% designed…
"He's gonna twist it, isn't he??" - "You're god damn right!"
Thank you for this satisfying video!
thank you for the b;looper at the end. Lego doesnt always do what we want it too!
You could hang this one up like a wreath! And I think the most amazing thing about this video is the fact that 1×2 bricks still make it into Lego kits instead of them all being dumped straight from the assembly line to your house
I feel the noises in my bones, the shapes are 'unnatural', the geometric progression...
NICE 👍
Please make more anxiety inducing builds
seeing you build this reminded me that me and one of my friends, we used to play legos a lot, we always called when you put two 2x1 pieces together, connected by the ends, a yoshi, no matter if its green or whatever other color
The way he builds with everything segmented could be an awesome visualization of calculus
Lego Geometry & Structural Stress GENIUS. I dig your bracelets. What a subtle way to promote your channel.
Thank you! The bracelets are also a way to identify my content when it's swiped by others. But they turned out to be pretty nice on their own. : )
Those sounds! I was filled with angst, waiting for a seam to pop. Well, it finally happened at the end. I can relax now.
That's wild, great job mate, impressive
Finally. An ASMR person who knows how to keep his mouth shut. Thank you so much! These builds are neat
Lego: "We don't talk about circles here."
Brick Bending:
That’s a LOT of bricks.
Watching these videos while very high is a unique experience
Truly a brick bending build!
"epic" is the right term for this. It looks like the size of a hula hoop!
The creak is strong with this one!
Wonder if it's possible to make the "torus" in another direction, with the green surface on the inside? It seems to bend both ways but the other would be a bit stiffer and need more length, right?
As always, thanks for uploading Jeff!
This must take hours to think out and longer to build so impresive.
It hurts my head and yet it makes me feel satisfied
Me in my hospital bed, barely coherent from my mind being blown continually: “Maybe one more Brick Bending vid....”
He always surprises me with the most whimsical builds of lego.
Great work!!!!!!!!!
this is like exponential growth but better and its lego
I love these videos, I’ve no idea how it’s going to bend and then I’m mindblown
you've done it again 👍 your builds never fail to amaze me
Very daring with multiple colors, awesome!
Fantastic!
I am amazed by the fact this guy has so many legos to build crazy mind blowing builds
You never fail to get the better of us
3:21 physics
While he was showing the secret i kept saying ‘stop denying the laws of LEGO’ also this was so satisfying to watch
Just wow!
Sounds like it'll break any second while moving it😬
It’s a wave of his brothers flesh 3:36
4:22 If he separates those two connected ends, the thing is gonna snap back real quick because of all that freakin tension force…
Really neat! Amazing also for photography including the caveman
I'm having trouble debating whether this is painful or satisfying to watch.
Painfully satisfying.
There. Consider the debate settled.
Wonder what that weighed. Also like the blooper at the end👍
That’s awesome 🤩
I love everything he creates. I’m always scared something might snap and 10000 Lego pieces are going to be flying everywhere 😱
And I loved that you included the blooper at the end, showing exactly that.
It bends! *satisfied*
It also looks like an electromagnet. Nice.
If I counted correctly, there was about 88 pieces per section with a total of 84 sections. If my counting was correct, there is roughly 7,392 pieces. 7,403 including the mini-figure.
now imagine how long it took to dismantle
Man I wanna see you taking these things apart
Every build has a money shot (or a few) that goes from 0-100, it's great. You can always tell when he's about to introduce the B E N D that shows the build off.
4:27 Apple Headquarters
I would like to take a moment to admire the amount of effort he put into this, to be honest I would have been like no thanks
Reminds me of the cashier who once asked if you glue the models. It's all the power of the squeeze on the studs.
I need this, prebuilt
Honestly i do prefer you to not using the gloves, but if you dont think so, it is ok dude.
Keep up making these content dude we loved it✌🏻
Thank you. 🙏🏻 Gloves are work in progress. Not sure if they'll stay or not.
@@BrickBending I cast my tiny little vote for the gloves to be gone 😅
I really think in every video you need to say how long each build took you to finish it.
I bet you this was 2 hours
They're not fast, I can tell you that. : )
How he films these is magic too!
This is so amazing
My one question is HOW MUCH LEGO DO YOU OWN?!?!
A lot. Like really a lot.

incredible design
The time and effort to make this is insane because I would surely die if I tried this
