    For the serious fitness people, there are other devices which blow the Watch 6 classic out of the water. For the rest of us I find the health features can be an indication, not accurate. I’m looking for the best looking best feeling smart watch. I’m happy with the W6C. Battery life is good, better than the W4C and approaching the W5P which I happily traded in.

  • @Akuphon
    @Akuphon Рік тому +5

    Our eyes don't perceive brightness linearly, but logarithmically. This means that doubling the nits does not make the screen look double in brightness. Nits would have to approximately quadruple to make the screen seem double in brightness for our eyes.

    • @mystic8187
      @mystic8187 11 місяців тому

      Also keep in mind this is also dependent on the surrounding space in which your percieving said light. The eyes adjusts differently depending on the amount coming through, which a small watch display may not affect as much as going from a dark room to outside. An Amoled display makes the difference a lot clearer between a brighter or dimmer display, but indeed doesn't mean that a display rated at half the nits at max brightness appears darker than one with a higher amount outside. You can definitely tell though if your comparing side by side in a darker environment.

    • @nevillelim6174
      @nevillelim6174 Рік тому

      I had the watch 4 classic LTE version that I gave up on. The idea of having an LTE watch is so that I could stream music while running outdoors, without the phone. And also the possibility of taking a phone call while running without the phone. However in my experience, in a few seconds to a few minutes the watch is disconnected from the phone, and hops to LTE on the watch, the watch overheats and an error message is displayed stating that the watch is overheating, and will remain unusable until it cools down. 😮. So all tracking stops, music stops everything stops. Until 10 - 20 mins later when the watch cools down. Sent in the watch to Samsung nine times, and there was nothing they could do. I’m understanding from users that the overheating issue is not yet resolved for the watch 5 LTE version. So hopefully Samsung resolves the problem with their Watch 6.

Will I wear the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 47mm? NO! Why? Because I bought my first Garmin Watch in June a Garmin Epix Pro (Gen 2) - Sapphire Edition | 51 mm Titanium and I just don't see the point of wearing the Samsung Galaxy Watches anymore. The Garmin features, fit, watchband, Customizations, Connect app and web dashboard when integrated with scale and blood pressure cuff on the Garmin really is way ahead of the Samsung Galaxy Eco-system and for the couple of smart features that you can't have on the Garmin it really doesn't matter. Everything about the Garmin outweighs the Samsung. Too bad the Galaxy is a heavy steel compared to the feather light Garmin Titanium. It's a win-win for Garmin! I am not looking back! • @DesFit
      @DesFit  11 місяців тому

      It's not necessarily the battery, it's more the operating system. Think of Apple and Samsung watches as smartphones on your wrist with fitness functions whereas other watches like Garmin and COROS as sportswatches with smartwatch functions. Apple and Samsung watches just do a lot more in the background (not saying that's necessarily a good thing though).
