Nah I must agree regarding the sapphire crystal. It should be really hard. I also never used a screenprotector on my classical watch. I put on the same screenprotector as shown in the video. You do notice it. The screen appears to lay deeper (or appears as a old style non laminted screen). It's more prone to fingerprint due to a different coating, and it will change the light refraction. I eventually took it off.
I know right? Do you see anybody who owns a Rolex or Omega or something worrying about a screen protector for their multithousa dollar watches? Of course not. Sapphire is extremely tough. Especially when it's recessed as it is with the classic models. Putting a screen protector on sapphire is like wrapping a tank in paint protection film...
@Unknown-nd4md Sapphire is one of the hardest materials on the planet. It's harder than an aluminum watch body, it's harder than a stainless steel body, it's DAMN sure harder than the screen protector you have stuck to it. Again, very very expensive "tool" watches utilize sapphire because it is extremely durable and difficult to scratch and/or crack. Spending any amount of money on a thin piece of glass to "protect" a material that's almost as hard as diamond is silly
One of the most relevant points I've ever heard made in any video. I've owned every Samsung watch and have never used it without a screen protector the last two I actually had Snap-on case protectors as well but bare minimum screen protector 100% I'm subscribe to your channel just cuz you said this
Dude, this is the first review of your that I have seen and it was just amazing. I feel energized and ready to play a half court game, and I am 67 years old. I subscribed and looking forward to more great videos
Thanks! I'll have that in a video for you guys on Wednesday...tomorrow's video will be a hint of some of the other watchfaces...but tomorrow's video is the third party watchband accessories and Wednesday's video is the the watch faces...trust me I got you guys covered.
Great tips! And I 100% agree with putting a screen protector on the display. Opinions are divided, but whereas it's proven sapphire glass is very scratch resistant (basically it can only get scratched by a diamond which is harder), apparently it still can get cracked and broken when hit with force. I realised a smartwatch is like 10 times more exposed to accidental hits and scratches than a phone (unless you don't use your hands right? lol), so I'd rather have this extra layer of security provided by a solid screen protector than to regret having my display cracked or broken. So yeah, I'd definitely go for a screen protector even on a sapphire glass. Can I also ask you what watch face you're using in this particular video? You didn't really say and you referred to another video, but then you showed a different color, and i really like this blue shade. Thanks!
I don't see the need tbh. No one ever felt the need to put any protection on a normal watch, what's the difference? A phone is big and heavy and easily dropped. I can't see any circumstance under normal conditions where a smart watch screen is likely to get broken.
why is that i only have 2 options on font style "kaiti and default" only, i don't have choco cooky+tinkerbell+samsung one+gothic bold+apple mintcool jazz? thanks
You can get some very stylish screen protectors. I got a pack with three different colours: clear, gold and pink, for just £10. They fit really well and I can change them depending on what strap I'm using. I set my screen time out to a minute as well! 15 seconds? I've just got the watch and 15 secs was waaayyyy too short when you're just working out the new tech.
Yeah man keep doing ya thing..! I already had my screen protector, and rotating ring bezel waiting for my GW6 Classic well before it arrived a week ago. Gotta protect that investment. Love ya content.
Bro i need to know where you got that band from for that 6 classic. That's too clean 🔥🔥🔥 I need to know not now but rn lol, say you gone do a vid on it and i get that too i see what you doing 👍🏾... but drop that vid asap tho frfr lol
@CKidM thanks. Watched the vid you up loaded a few days after this one and saw. But in one vid you were showing a Rolex watch face. Trying to hunt that one down.
Which which screen protector did you use cuz I used the one that has the alignment tray to stick it on and it definitely didn't cover the entire screen and the alignment tray put it all the way towards the bottom so there's like 1 mm between the protector and the bezel
They will be all in tomorrow's video...working on that as we speak to have it ready for you guys...can't wait for you all to see the bands I have to show you! They are 🔥
The problem for me is that I already have Garmin Fenix 6x and Withing Scanwatch, and a mechanical watches. I don't have capacity for another watch unless I sell some of my watches.
The watches are nice, I currently have the watch 4 classic but I am seeing alot of complaints about the accuracy of the health features... Thats a worry for me, no point upgrading to the 5 or 6 if the health features arent as accurate as being advertised. 😢
Yeah I've just sent my GW6C back. Other than the screen, I couldn't see any difference to my GW4C. Can't justify spending all that money for a slightly better screen
Yeah, I watched a few tests and the Samsung watches in general don't do great on health features so that definitely isn't a reason to upgrade. That said, I was coming from a Gear S3 which had terrible health features, so it was worth it to me to move to the 6 classic... but honestly, if you prioritize health features, then the huawei watch is probably the better one to get as it has better sensors.
You don't need a screen protector on the classic, it's made of sapphire glass (same stuff as on a Rolex) and there's a bezel protecting it. If something jabs right at the screen hard enough to crack it, then you're either flailing your arms around like an idiot or you've been in a serious accident (were you should have many other things to worry about rather than your watch)
I literally had a couple of people who commented that they had the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro (which is also made of the same sapphire crystal) and commented and DM'd me saying that their screen cracked when they dropped it or hit it hard up against something. So I say to each it's own...but Glass is glass and glass can break.
@@CKidMso if someone drops their watch and the screen cracks because of the fall, a screen protector is not going to protect the watch face from the fall. The glass is breaking from the sudden change in inertia and energy going through the watch and glass face. The screen protector won't protect it from that. All the screen protector will do is protect from things directly hitting the screen itself, like car keys etc. It's the same thing with phones. How many times do people drop iPhones with screen protectors and the screen shatters? That's what cases are for to absorb the inertial energy from the impact. Look at car accidents where the windshield breaks without being touched in the accident. Again it's the same thing. The energy is basically resonating through the metal frame of the car, changing the shape of the car, flexing and bending the glass, and sending that energy through the windshield and rest of the car. It's why we wear seatbelts too because only the part of the car (or phone) that is physically touching at the point of impact is being physically moved, the rest is the inertial energy being moved around/into it, as the energy is dispersed through the rest of the vehicle/object. You can also see this on glass or in water with the ripple effect, as the energy radiates outward in a circular ripple fashion from the point of impact, but other than that point of impact the rest of the glass isn't physically being touched by the object.
It is not terrible quality sapphire and equivalent to what Apple is using on their camera lens glass but it is not the same sapphire as on a Rolex watch. Rolex would have super high grade premium quality sapphire this would be more mid-grade sapphire which still scratches at a level 7 on the Moe's scale when it shouldn't scratch until 8. It's tougher than glass but you're still going to get some scratches if it comes in contact with something like quartz which can be found all over the place, in the dirt, on the ground, in your pocket, in your backpack. You can even have tiny microscopic pieces of quartz that get stuck in your super clean microfiber cloth.
Dear sir, I am interested in the Samsung Watch Classic, and would like to know if the following watch faces exist and are close matches to the watches: navitimer breathing and Panera luminor marina? Have a great day. Ludo Poelaert, Belgium
My belgian malinois has been play fight & biting me on the arms I hear his teeth making a tinking sound from his tooth hitting watch 5 pro screen I've had no screen protector on mine since day 1 not 1 scratch or mirco scratches so if the gw6c is the same screen I think screen protectors on sapphire would alright if are falling down all the time bashing watch off wall
Great video, I cant have wrist detection on because I have tattoos on my arm and if I have wrist detection on I dont get any vibrations or notifications, one would think that samsung would have tested the sensor on all types of ppl first but I guss that no one at samsung has tattoos ;)
My GWC6 43mm has been pretty bad on battery life. After watching this, I turned off checking heart rate every 10 minutes. Maybe this will help a lot. Thanks!
Im not afraid that ill scratch my phone's screen or my Watch6Classic screen. But im almost sure ill taint it with my hands or work gloves. I work around plasma cutters, grinders and autogen cutters and small hot metal particles may hit my phone or my watch. For a cleaner work place i would not put screen protectors. The screen protector on my S23U is a Spigen with UV adhesive, very good quality. On my watch its also a Spigen glass.
So I did get the regular watch 6 but probably going to return it really no big changes and maybe later this year when Samsung runs a sale on the watch 6 classic I may get that one your thoughts.
In case any of you were wondering how to use GPay without a PIN on your phone (I personally don't like having a PIN on my phone), you can set a PIN on your watch. It will only ask for it when you first put it on your wrist in the morning, and you can use GPay even if your phone doesn't have a PIN. You won't be able to use it on your phone at all, and for transactions that exceed the limit for contactless payments, the watch will ask for the PIN again. This is still better than having a PIN on your phone for those who don't like it.
Yea I would try to uninstall and reinstall the app...and then also remove the watch from the app and readd it...because that's a weird issue. What phone are you using?
@CKidM alright, after some research I found out the app on the watch isn't available for all samsung phones. I have a cheaper phone (A53 5g). It's possible to download an other camera app and do it.
I'm the one walking around with broken screen protector on watch. Never fails after I change protector they crack with 48 hours. Smh at least my watch screen ain't broken.
See...say it louder for the people in the back asking why you should have a screen protector on it...you are living proof that glass can break on the Galaxy Watch...just like mine did back in the day. Appreciate you sharing that
@@CKidM actually, he said that he's breaking the screen protectors, not that he's broken the screen. The screen protectors definitely break easily, we're just not sure that the screens do anymore. :)
Got this watch today and realised galaxy watch sensor or any watch sensor still doesn't work with tattoos! I have to wear it under my wrist on the part that doesn't have ink. Its annoying, and i think samsung and apple need to make them work with tattoos
Your link for the screen protectors cost 20 bucks for four That's the most overprice screen protector I've seen for a watch. They're all usually under $10 for a four pack Even cheaper for a two pack
Mine automatically got named "[my name]'s Watch6 Classic". I'm fine with that Also, the Watch literally tells you to set an unlock method when you try to set up NFC payment, so no one that'd come over your watch can't buy stuff with it unless they know the PIN or pattern
You actually can't use Samsung pay without a pin/pattern. It requires you to set it when you set up Samsung Wallet, and if you disable it after, it'll disable and reset samsung pay and you'll have to set it up again which requires you to turn on the pin/pattern again. It's a requirement by the credit card companies (just like you can't use it on your phone without a security mechanism).
The gps does not work well at all on the samsung smartwatch 6 if you compare this to the polar pacer which is a lot cheaper. The samsung smartwatch is really tremendously bad with the gps. I would never recommend this watch to runners. You can't even set the best satellite combination for the gps. This is really a super bad and samsung does nothing about it. You should also mention in your video. But probably you got the watch.
Thanks BRO, that is a lot of information, looks like you spilled the beans and keep us updated on anything concerning Samsung, we will support you, no I phone 🫣🫣
I see your point, but how about this other angle, I am one of those that will put screen protector on anything gadgets that has a screen if possible, I did on my watch 5 pro and even added a case because I don't trade my gadgets in, I like to give it out to siblings or friends as i did with all my previous watches and phones and I like to take the protections off when handing it over and still have the gadget in mint condition, it's a matter preference and personality, some of us out here has high OCD lol😅
@jeanbaptistelabelle. This is a direct comment from someone under this same video "I'm the one walking around with broken screen protector on watch. Never fails after I change protector they crack with 48 hours. Smh at least my watch screen ain't broken."
Plus not everybody is as careful as you....but yo say that sapphire "GLASS" won't break is crazy...you're the same person that would say the Titanic is an unsinkable ship...and we see how that turned out. But aye do you playa
Dude! the silver watch strap with that watch face
Dope! He's gonna love it
Where did you get that watch strap from the video?
It's a sapphire crystal screen, using TG to cover it is like using plastic to act like bulletproof window

For the section on updating the watch name, the edit button is no longer on that screen. Any ideas on how to change it.
I don't see or have an edit box that pop's up. Not sure why not. Can't seem to change or add a new name.

@@CKidM does it last at least 2 days
I'm the one walking around with broken screen protector on watch. Never fails after I change protector they crack with 48 hours. Smh at least my watch screen ain't broken.
See...say it louder for the people in the back asking why you should have a screen protector on it...you are living proof that glass can break on the Galaxy Watch...just like mine did back in the day. Appreciate you sharing that
I get like 3/4 of em for the type of work I do. If rather switch out the projector then have a clapped out watch😂
@@CKidM actually, he said that he's breaking the screen protectors, not that he's broken the screen. The screen protectors definitely break easily, we're just not sure that the screens do anymore. :)
Great video. My Watch 4 bands still work on the 6 classic so don't need to get new bands. Just a screen protector #GetHimTo100k
💪🏾 Let's go!
So many options!
PLEASE MAKE A GALAXY WATCH 6 GLASS DURABILITY/SCRATCH TEST !!
Nice
Black or Silver 6 classic
Silver for me 💯
Got this watch today and realised galaxy watch sensor or any watch sensor still doesn't work with tattoos! I have to wear it under my wrist on the part that doesn't have ink. Its annoying, and i think samsung and apple need to make them work with tattoos
It's better if you categorize the clip section by section like other youtubers
I usually do it within the video...but forgot on this one.
😂😂😂 Saphire Glass mate... My last Huawei gt2 pro two years never got scratch
Your link for the screen protectors cost 20 bucks for four That's the most overprice screen protector I've seen for a watch. They're all usually under $10 for a four pack Even cheaper for a two pack
Safire glass don't need a screen protector
If you use Samsung pay the watch will require you to set a pin code.
Mine automatically got named "[my name]'s Watch6 Classic". I'm fine with that
Also, the Watch literally tells you to set an unlock method when you try to set up NFC payment, so no one that'd come over your watch can't buy stuff with it unless they know the PIN or pattern
Aye as long as you're protected!
@@CKidM I sure am! My Watch 6 Classic (which I got today) has got a lock on it as I've set up Samsung Pay 😁
You actually can't use Samsung pay without a pin/pattern. It requires you to set it when you set up Samsung Wallet, and if you disable it after, it'll disable and reset samsung pay and you'll have to set it up again which requires you to turn on the pin/pattern again. It's a requirement by the credit card companies (just like you can't use it on your phone without a security mechanism).
that music is loud as hell!! lol scares me every time
That intermittent music is rough... don't be wearing earphones
but it's a sapphire screen you don't need it
The gps does not work well at all on the samsung smartwatch 6 if you compare this to the polar pacer which is a lot cheaper. The samsung smartwatch is really tremendously bad with the gps. I would never recommend this watch to runners. You can't even set the best satellite combination for the gps. This is really a super bad and samsung does nothing about it. You should also mention in your video. But probably you got the watch.
MORE FONTS SAMSUNG!!!!
i dont need a screen protector on my "galacy" watch because its saphire, and its galaxy not galasy :) #cjknowstech #cjsentme
I heard the word DOPE. End of viewing for me.
Thanks BRO, that is a lot of information, looks like you spilled the beans and keep us updated on anything concerning Samsung, we will support you, no I phone 🫣🫣
Screen protector... on a saphir glass ??? Really? Skip your video right away as I am not interested in obvious advertisement content.
Exactly you get it @de-luxe491
I didn't put one on my watch 5 and regretted it when I got a big scratch on it
Sapphire is the 2nd hardest substance on earth next to diamonds. Why do you need a screen protector
