I'm in my 70s, just retired, and am trying to regain my life. I've survived two bouts of cancer and am trying to learn all I can to become more healthy and in shape. I've been listening to your videos and enjoy them tremendously. BTW, your necklace is beautiful. It's my favorite color!
Hi Gail, you already seem a very positive person, to beat two bouts of cancer, im sure positive mental attitude contributes to fighting this horrible disease. You are deffiantly following the right person. Isnt Shelly a breath of fresh air, full of information, in health beauty, diet and workouts, I love her, she keeps me positive🙂 Being 70 is just a number, I'm 55 and looking at some women my age, look like they are already giving up. Its women like you I aspire to, positivity, looking after yourself (I'm sure you do if you follow Shelly) I wish you all the very best for oh so many happy years ahead 🥰
I'm turning 62 on Monday. It truly is a gift to continue to be here. So many people don't have the privilege to age. Yes, Build muscle!! Keep moving. Thank you for sharing.
Hello. Congratulations I am 70 and I thank God every day for my life and good health. I.thank this Lady for sharing her exercises for sagging arm skin. I will start doing them every day. Nothing has worked before. Love and best wishes coming from.Trinidad. The Caribbean
You have the best arm muscle tone for women on youtube -- what I love is that your arm definition is toned but soft-looking, not over-blown like Madonna or a woman with male arms. This looks really perfect ty
Wait until you hit 70’s! I exercise every day & if I say so myself look fantastic. I’m also told so by others. As you say, I try to be my best me & know that Jesus loves me & thats’s all that matters
Autophagy is when your body “takes out the garbage”. Once it’s done processing the intake ( putting away the groceries you brought in ) then it starts the housecleaning.
I'm nearly 64, but normal weight and healthy. To me, the flabby arms are just part of aging. I wake up happy and grateful every day, and don't focus on my physical self. To be healthy is everything, truly. (I have a meat-heavy diet, with no sugar or wheat, and also practice intermittent fasting).
I"m not sure why I don't have crepey skin on my arms or legs but I do have it on my neck.. I've also noticed that it's not so pronounced after a good night's sleep. I eat healthy proteins, no sugar, garden a lot, lift stuff and I carry my own bags. I think eating properly, moving our bodies balanced with rest really helps our overall health.
I’ve been intermittent fasting for 2 years. I lost a lot of weight and my arms did get really flabby. Lately I’ve noticed they are getting much better! I’m 53 so it just takes some time. I also do body brushing and lift some weights. You’re doing all the right things you look amazing 😊
I so love your Channel. I’m 50 and have lost 50kg’s! I did it by working out, walking, intermittent fasting and then also cutting out most carbs. I now have the problem of loose saggy skin, which looks terrible! This episode was super interesting to me and I love that you share all these great tips, options and great advice! You are and look amazing, and are such an inspiration! Thank you.
I suppose I should have mentioned I’ve lost over 30kgs, reversed type 2 diabetes, no longer have symptoms of bipolar disorder, have huge amounts of energy and basically are feeling like I’m 20 again!😃. Sorry I posted about autophagy before I finished the video😍
Wow that's awesome! You did that with intermittent fasting!!! I need to do this for sure, if my Dr OKs it!!! Carbs seem to make me sick these days. I have type 2 diabetes etc and possible kidney issues or dehydrated. Hopefully I just need more water!!! Congrats to you!!!
@@sheenalaplante4585 Under nutritionist supervision Ive done intermittent fasting, luckily I havent found it difficult to follow, 3 meals a day, breakfast , lunch , high tea al 6pm, and I fast until 9.30 am aprox. I´ve lost 12 kilos ( 24 pound , i think it is) and reversed diabetes 2, too. 2 litres of water a day helps to keep uric acid at bay.
OMG! You just said something that I have been doing for the last 14 years "Getting.hung up on how I look...and stopped living"! Even though this brings me to tears I wanted to say thank you for putting these video's together to encourage people like myself to shine again.
I used to own my own herbal skin care business. I urge everyone to look at the ingredients in lotions and such. For ultra soft skin, use moringa oil, it also fades some scars from skeeter bites and such. It's awesome under makeup for us with somewhat dry facial skin. Also, put the oil on slightly damp skin, so right after you towel off. I don't want to go against Schellea, who I love, however it's not good to dry brush your skin every day. Every other day is really enough. Be tender to your skin. The photo here is me at 66, last year, 2020. On the road, no make up except for the eyes a bit.
Love your energy. In regards to moisturizers though we have to be aware that what goes on your skin enters your bloodstream. "Cetaphil includes 3 different parabens (known to cause endocrine disruption and linked to breast cancer), propylene glycol (increases chemical penetration into your skin and bloodstream) and sodium lauryl sulfate." So I use olive oil or lotions without parabens. Thanks for your channel.
You are telling the truth. And also beware of products containing Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera has properties that will pull all those unwanted ingredients into the deeper layers of your skin. When you see a product w/questionable ingredients (just about all of them!) just imagine them going into your bloodstream, because seriously, that's what they do. Olive oil as mentioned is a great alternative. Coconut oil, even lard or butter, these oils/fats will moisturize your skin and they're safe.
Last tip is drink LOTS of clean water and at the end of your shower, switch back and forth between tolerable hot (not scorching) and cold water about 3 or 4 times before stepping out.....side note: get a good shower head filter that will soften the water.....I just love how detailed and informative your videos are....so glad you created your channel..💖
I watched this video this morning and I've been thinking about my arms and crepey skin all day. I'll be 66 soon and it is pretty distressing when I think about it. I've learned not to hold my arms out with the skin sagging. For a while i decided to never wear sleeveless tops again, but that didn't last when it got over 100 degrees here!! The worst is when I'm leaning over gardening and the skin on my arms falls down to the front of my arms. OMG! Old lady arms! This is not just dead skin. It is loss of elasticity. I have lost some weight, but not that much. I do lots of arm exercises, use excellent skin cream, eat right, and take collagen type I and 3, which are the types for skin and hair. It doesn't really help that much. I console myself that people are generally surprised at my age, so that is OK. As you say, we cannot become obsessed with this. Nobody notices my arm flab or my jelly belly really. It is so important to be passionate about something in your life, share it with others, and stop trying to be what we were 30 years ago. I'm trying to be the happiest, healthiest version of me at 66 and love who I have grown to be. My grandmother was a wrinkled little dumpling, but what I remember about her was her beautiful halo of white hair, her sparkling blue eyes, and her love. You are so right. People love us because of the way we make them feel when they are with us. I love your attitude and I love it when you geek out on the research and share it with us :-)
I am 64 and I completely relate to how your feel about your arms i.e. distressing as I have had the same experience only this year. It came upon me slowly, but this year it has really shown up - just as you say - as you bend forward etc and it came as quite a shock! With the natural loss of strength/muscle that occurs with age it is harder to keep the ratio/pace with muscle building in the arms with everything else you have to work on :), but I do what I can hoping it does something - after all how would you know what it would look like if you didn't? - anyway I am not keen to find out. My mother had this issue in a big way over he entire body... and she was a lot heavier set and plumper than I am, so i know it is not a weight loss thing with me - or muscle loss really - it is the elasticity of the skin and some seem to be hit harder with that than others - it may be genetic. I have read recently that collagen supplements aren't much use, but I am going to use bone broth as that is good for bones, gut health and provides the collagen -so at least it won't be a complete waste. Just to say I really understand how you feel...it is so disappointing to have to think about wearing sleeves now after loving the summer tops and dresses - to feel you have to hide. But like you I am coming to terms and finding a new attitude.
Thank you for your suggestions. I’ve begun doing arm toning for a long time but have really accelerated it in the last year. I will be 67 this year and just keep battling it! My Derm dr said there is no cream or answer to make it go away but we can do things to improve the look of creepiness. I’m always open to try suggestions!
I love your energy and tips. Thank you. I have tried drybrushing, i put an organic body oil on wet skin, intermittent fasting. Also 2 min plank a day is a complete workout. What you feed your body (food, fluids, thoughts) are key too. Hugs
Omega 3’s have really helped my skin ‘bounce back’! Shelled hemp seeds in salads, whole chia & flax seeds in my green smoothies. English walnuts again in a salad but not too much or I put on weight & I’m focussed on losing weight! I keep the omegas 6 & 9 to a minimum to keep inflammation down in my body & that helps reduce ‘crepey’ skin so much for me.
I’m watching all your past videos! I’m 48 but because I look more aged (about 58! Darn sun and smoking!) I’m really enthusiastic to take your advice on so many things. I am in pretty good body shape (running/walking), not too overweight- so I need to be doing all these things now! Thank you.
I love this so much! I’m a physician and I’m 64! This part of life is so lovely because I am finally doing the self-care stuff, like these things you share here. Thank you so much!
Shelley, the way you share your vibrant, enthusiasm with us all in this video, is fabulous... it's contagious in a fun way. Thanks for your generosity with all that you share. Your home environment always looks stunning in the background. :)
Thank you for all your tips and for sharing. I am still doing my exercises (I wrote before) and I have lost 11 pounds, which for me a sedentary person is a miracle. I am also going out a little more now. I have most of the ingredients you mention already. I have never thought of making a cocktail with body cream so will experiment. I have used for many years on my face an electrical pulse machine. This tightens loose skin and is incredible for lifting giving me back cheekbones and generally sculpting the face. It can be a little painful and I think it puts a lot of people off. But you can reduce the pulse so it just tingles. I use it at quite a high level and don't really notice how it feels anymore. I have used it for about 15 years. I am 57 and people say I look in my early 30's. I have no wrinkles, no eye bags as the pulse drains the fluid away and my skin is tight on my face (unfortunately the rest of my body lets the side down). I have been looking into Hydrogen water as it is claimed to have a lot of health benefits and to help with anti aging - renewing cells- and I was wondering if it is something you have ever looked in to or tried. The machines seem to be quite expensive and you have to be careful you get the right sort. So one man who was recommended to me to watch is Greg the Hydrogen man. This is a link to one of his UA-cam shows if you are interested to look. ua-cam.com/video/prw8C-oHijo/v-deo.html - I haven't got a machine myself yet. They are a bit expensive, but I am saving to buy one. But I was wondering what you think. All the best and thanks again. I enjoy watching your shows very much. Christine
I don't know how I missed seeing this video you did back a year ago, almost to the day. This video showed up on my daily UA-cam recommendations. So VERY GLAD I have watched this video. Thank you for all the great information you have provided to us. I'm saving to watch again and again.
my secret is to accept myself ...that I am not 12 but over 50. I eat a healthy vegan diet and I exercise. I practice self love, meditation and yoga. some of these tips you mentioned seem a bit extreme to me. we are not perfect. we age. we are all beautiful.
I want to say thank you. It’s well-deserved. You have inspired me to keep trying to improve my 58 year old body and my health. You have also cheered me up throughout the pandemic, Again thank you!
It’s amazing to watch your motivating tips. I do IF since 6 months. But I think it’s important to change your eating habits ‘first’ and begin carefully- otherwise it will also stress your body. My personal anti-aging tip: living in Italy....😉💕💋
Ah thank you. Since lockdown I have put weight on and let myself go a bit, and I'm at a funny age 🙄 so not feeling great. Watching your video has encouraged me to start taking steps to be a better version of me ☺️ feeling inspired!
Hi I'm Danielle from Mauritius I love your videos on workout and tips on how to to take care of us l would like to know if you can help me with tips on heat flashes thank you so much you give me the boost to take care of me
@@samanthaworkman-fenn8754 I understand. I went through a divorce and then 3 months later went home and found my mother dead... she was also my best friend and I had spoken with her three times that day. I fell into a funk.
Thanks I have noticed the sagging skin after losing weight. What has helped is exercising. Just because we age doesn't mean just wear long sleeves. Upper strength helps with energy and arthritis. Love your channel!
I think she had much more before she started doing the exercise, brushing, moisturising etc. There are other videos showing her larger. I also think the point she makes about being the best version of me is important for me to keep in mind. :)
I was always in great shape worked out every day at the gym, back then ZUMBA was my cardio💃then things happen & I got out of shape, lost muscle, wasn’t able to go to the gym. My Daughter bought me a 75” Smart TV & I stream my YT from my iPhone so I can workout everyday, it’s like being in class with her🌺🌸
I have very, very dry skin. I've been using Cetaphil for 26 years. I will be 64-years-old September 2 and people mistake me for being in my 40s, and this is a constant. My boyfriend is 24 years younger than I am and he doesn't even bat an eye at our age difference. I use Cetaphil cream that comes in a tub like container because 26 years ago a dermatologist I went to at the time said he told his fiance to use it and nothing else. I was at the time using Lancombe and Este Lauder products. He told me to stop! Way too much drying alcohol in those products. And I just use ordinary Safeguard on my body, and, yes, face. It is more moisturizing than Dove or other products that are a bar soap. I have a simple routine of as soon as I am out of the shower and dried off I put on my Cetaphil all over my body and I am done. Why go through all the hassle of buying this or that for one thing or another. Enjoy life and stop wasting time in the bathroom or in front of the mirror. You are all beautiful the way you are and more importantly it is what's on the the inside that really matters. Stay happy and safe.
Thank you Shelly for this awsome message on intermittent fasting. I also appreciate how you touched on not getting too hung up psychologically on loose skin . I think as women we are always searching for perfection in our heads. How ever it is our imperfections that make us so unique.🙂
I actually have learned to ❤️ being 52 when I realized how much I know about myself and others I want, or do not want, in my life! I'm so happy I've discovered your channel 🥰... You have great messages for us ladies in our prime😂
After exfoliating in a hot shower for a few minutes my pores open due to the steam. When I get out of the shower, while still wet, I rub baby oil all over my body (not face because I have oily skin). Then I towel dry with gentle dabbing and voila! My skin is sooo soft, non greasy and my soft skin lasts til I next shower. I don’t use bars of soap to shower, but Cetaphil body wash & apply cleanser on a face washer and gently rub it on my face, neck and décolletage. My skin is soft without greasiness and I’ve exfoliated the dead skin layers. It’s like a spa treatment, only cheaper! Hope this helps you too!!! Best Wishes 😊
I've been doing intermittent fasting for about 4 months and occasionally go down to one meal a day. People have noticed that I've lost weight (nearly 4 stones) and my skin is clearer. I found collagen capsules where I live and take them once a day. I've reduced my coffee intake and have found that I am sleeping a lot better than I used to, no brain fog and I'm not tired during the day :)
dawn Easthope I am doing some research on IF right now, since clients ask me about it a lot Do you f el that it is difficult to stick with? Have you lost weight?
@@claudiaglows it's been so easy to stick to. I vary between having a breakfast and dinner or lunch and dinner, depending on my day. I make sure that I have protein and healthy fats for the first meal, and that carries me through to the evening where I'll have protein and vegetables. Sometimes I go a full 24 hours between meals and I make sure I drink fluids. I don't feel hungry and I've lost nearly 4 stones (54 lb) in weight so it works for me. I can't eat potatos or grains including rice because it makes me so tired, bloated and triggers IBS. So I keep my food very simple with meat, fish, eggs, lots of green vegetables, limited dairy and occasionally nuts, and my body feels good on that.
dawn Easthope that is awesome! It wouldn’t be fir me, since I used to be anorexic, but I am happy to hear it works for you! Thank you fir getting back to me
@@claudiaglows It's about finding something that works for you rather than what works for others. I suffered from bulimia a long time ago, and for me the regiment has helped my heal my relationship with food. I'm more conscious of what I put into my body, when and also I'm having to deal with my emotional triggers without resorting to food. That is the hardest part for me, so I combine that with counselling.
dawn Easthope that is really awesome to hear!! Congratulations! I would have thought having had an eating disorder, this world not work, but I am really glad it dies for you 💕
Exactly..I’m 64 and I got very ill and dropped to 103. I’m 5’4. I’m just now after forcing myself to eat up to 111. But all this loose skin is awful . So now that I can walk I’m going to after work out to rebuild those muscles I lost . I mean I can barely stop up on a stair carrying something. I’m going to watch you .i have purchased professional products to help.Thank you. Oh yes and the dry skin was awful. I use Cerave and nutritional oil .The trick is to put this on the body when you get out of shower before you dry off.
I've had exactly the same problem. I eat Keto and do IF for health and have lost10 kg. My arms have got those flabby bots and the crepey skin! I exercise anyway but have upped my arm exercises with weights. I will follow your progress with interest! Still doing your walking exercises every morning too! xx
I've the same problem my arms are having that crepey skin and I am 64 years of age. I don't do exercises and most of the time I don't eat the food I want because of acids so I lose weight. Thank you very much for taking your time sharing your helpful ideas. I am going to follow your progress with interest starting tomorrow
This is a Godsend... I am 62 and have recently lost 27 pounds. I have noticed the loose skin, and have hestitated to lose more because of this. Thank you
I am so happy that I found you on UA-cam because little by little I am getting better doing your exercises. Thank you for your positive thoughts and advice. I am 53 years old and love the short workouts with rest. Keep up the good job.
Shellea, I’ve lost ten stone over the past 14 years, three and a half of it last year, and now I have literally got shirred arms! I’m listening to you very closely because this makes sense. I still have to lose 2 stone and I’ve started intermittent fasting. Now, I’m starting exercise which I could never do due to disabling arthritis. I also have alopecia, I’d love a video on toppers and wigs as this year I need to buy one. Loving this!
Well I done for losing so much weight, ,! You must feel so much healthier and I’m convinced you’ve added to your health so much! Well done. Intermittent fasting has worked wonders for me too. Just carry on and be the best person you are now, your doing fantastic👍👍
Such an excellent teacher, and so proactive about health; so easy to listen to you and understand what we need to do to help ourselves achieve optimal health and longevity and you make it easy! You have a gentle spirit too. Great video!
Intermittent fasting creates autophagy. This means the body consumes old, damaged, excess cells and boosts growth hormones which are vital. Thanks for bringing this forward to everyone’s attention. I think you are amazing!😍
Appreicate the product tips. 💕 we have to take the information we hear and use what we can. My dermatologist said nothing is going to tighten skin, we can tone with exercise, and put products on to smooth dryness, but like you said, the only option that really works is surgery.believe me my derm dr would be glad to sell products to me, but for arms, she said no fast fix.
This kiwi adores your videos! Informative, encouraging, positivity too! Lovely! The world needs more of people like you! It will be a better place, healthier too :) Thank you for all you do.
Do you have any exercise I can use for inner thigh sagging? I recently lost about 30 pounds and now I have all this saggy skin giggle that look horrible! Btw love your channel!!!
I do an exercise from a video that works. Lying on your right side on the floor, with your left leg bent at the knee, behind your right leg, foot on the ground, lift your right leg repeatedly, making sure the leg doesn’t go higher than horizontal. To make it harder you can place weights around your ankle or place your hand on your leg and exert pressure as you lift it. Repeat with the other leg. Hope this helps.
I add Vitamin C powder to my hyaluronic acid serum that I make myself from hyaluronic acid powder and distilled water. It is so inexpensive to make it that way in mixing the Vitamin C powder in makes it amazing. Thanks for the tip from a couple of weeks ago. I bought my on Amazon but it wasn't the ordinary brand.
@@dianneroy3208 on Amazon. BOS Vitamin C powder and Bulk Supplements hyaluronic acid powder. I mix the hyaluronic acid with distilled water. You don't need much at all. If you have a bottle with a dropper that works good. You only need about an eighth of a teaspoon with 2 oz of water. Shake It Up well it tends to come pillow so just keep shaking it and then check it before you use it each time. I also put about half a teaspoon in my electrolyte drink and shake it as well as I can. It doesn't dissolve well but just swallow it anyway because your stomach acid will break it down and it's really good for your skin and joints. You could just put a few drops of hyaluronic acid in your palm of your hand and a very small amount Vitamin C powder. Probably 1/16 of a teaspoon. Mix that up and put it on your face and neck
I am 60 and I stopped my attempt at intermittent fasting because of this too. I now eat small portions of healthy nourishing foods only ! And I love my rebounder . The crepe and saggy skin has gone away. Dry brushing and mixing a good moisturizer with a dropper of olive oil applied to wet skin amazing !
Love your videos. I’ve been fighting my arms for a number of years now. Long sleeves are great but my legs are very toned from running. So I am going to add weights and collagen plus your great ideas on cream. Thank you and your such a lovely lady outside And in. Plus your ideas on sugar are spot on. 👌💕💕
Thank you for sharing! This is great information! I am 66 and have been exercising with you for about 10 months. It has made a difference in how I feel and look. I am going to try some of these products you shared. You are amazing and I appreciate your videos very much!
I really appreciate the information I think it's been needed and embrace the fabulous 50 years ! accepting it's as a real shift in my life toward healthy eating nutritional values and proper exercise and care for overall health 😃
aha moment! so thats why my skin is starting to look so much better. Im on the keto diet and the meats im eating are giving me lots of protein! awesome....thanks for helping us understand that. Plus i drink lots of water...and only water.
Ok, I've done 5 videos ! I would watch this one, but, it reminds me how my own "bat wings" are an issue. My understanding is that you can never get that back; that we lose those muscles when not in use. Due to an auto accident, I was out of commission, and unable to exercise, so, I'm stuck with them. But, I'm not giving up !! After 5 videos I deserve a break. Also, I will do a 2 mile walk this afternoon. Thanks, Schellea, for all the videos, and the encouragement that you give every time everyday ! !
I have saggy crepey skin and have started using Weleda cellulite body oil. I noticed a difference just after a couple of days. It gives a small tingle after rubbing in well. I've been doing IF for 2.5 years, already take many of the supplements you mentioned, eat little sugar, drink water only, and yet my skin... 😶 This is the first product which has helped with dry arm, flappy crepy thing. Ingredients are natural and not crazy expensive on Amazon. I'm brand new to your channel but learning lots and enjoying!
I love your channel...and do your exercises. While arm exercises and or using weights are very beneficial. But, nothing will get rid of loose fatty skin under your arms or bat wings. You are beautiful and really have great arms, not much loose skin really. Unfortunately a lot of women have way more loose skin under the arms. Surgery is the only thing to remove a lot of loose fatty skin under the arms. I love your honesty and energy, keep up the great work.
You made me laugh - the skin that flaps around in the wind when you are not looking 😂 But yes, I have it too! Loss of collagen , accelerated by sun damage. But, like you said, exercise definitely helps to add some tone. As well as AHA for texture and even some retinol or Retin a on the body can help Most importantly though, we need to learn to love ourselves, flappy skin and all, cause there will always be something... Thank you for another great video 💕
I just subscribed to your channel all in assistance to Healthy Living, this has helped a lot with self love as you are always thinking about your own health and well-being 😍
Hi I have been micro-needling my arms for a few months and getting really good results. The crepey skin is almost gone and, as a bonus, my melasma has also greatly improved.
do you microneedle your arms yourself? or do you go to a spa or wherever they do that? My arms make me sad, they used to be so firm and muscular. Not to mention all the other parts of me that are falling!
I use CeraVe SA Lotion for Rough and Bumpy skin. The body wash and lotion. It exfoliates and moisturizers . It has salicylic acid, ceramides, and vitamin d. I no longer need to use a physical exfoliator. They do not contain any of the nasty stuff, available at the drugstore, and inexpensive. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if they are available outside of the U.S.
@@AMcG-hf6yx I am a big fan of CereVe. It took a bit of time, but with regular use my skin stays smooth, and I dare say, silky. I have a subscription for these through Amazon.
I'm hooked on quinoa which is a gluten free whole grain food which is very high in protein. It is so delicious and easy to prepare and very versatile. It is considered a complete protein and is a good source of antioxidants and minerals. I am 67 and do your workouts every day and have seen great results. Thank you for all your passion and hard work.
I do IF and i love it! I eat on the 20/4 schedule. I eat from 4pm til 8pm daily. And I do a 40-hr water fast- I stop eating Wed eve at 8pm and i don't eat again until 4pm on Friday. Saturday I take the day off. That's my fun day. But i love my new regime. My skin is looking much younger. I am almost 63-yrs and want to continue looking the best I can. I had a deep plane face and neck lift earlier this year too. I mean why not! :)
Hello from WV, recently came across your videos and I am loving them! You seem just as lovely on the inside as you are on the outside. Have a beautiful day!
May we all be mindful of Organic Plant based products & CRUELTY FREE practices. Toxin awareness is important. You look fabulous & you inspire me in so many ways. Thank You for sharing & caring! Namaste! Purely, Leslie
Schellea!! First I have to say this you are incredibly beautiful!! I have watched almost all of your videos... and I just needed to tell you this and to thank you for this FABULOUS channel!!! I had an injury and needed to watch a video that was not geared toward a 20 year old!! I’m so thankful because with your videos I was able to build up and begin healing while feeling better about myself not only did I have the injury menopause happened and overnight I was like what just happened here!!!! You are truly a blessing!! Please keep encouraging me and all your subscribers! I just thought in this video you just looked even more beautiful than you already are! Inside and out!
Hello Schellea, I had to do a double take, because you look and sound so much like Olivia Newton John. I absolutely love Olivia N.J. and so, I had to watch your video. I have all the issues you were discussing, and I think you have some great ideas, and I will implement them in my skin routine. I also use my own oil moisturizer with castor oil, grapeseed oil, pure baobab oil, avocado and pumpkin oil. I am going to start using Blackseed oil too. I noticed these oils do help crepy skin, as well. I am glad I found your web site, I will add you on my list of those, I feel, have the best advice, that actually helps with anti aging treatment. I am also a fan of collagen, and use both the meat and poultry base, as well as the plant base. Carol Smith-Blum
Hello! I am an Esthetician and when I performed body treatments I used an Endermatherapy machine on my client's! I used the machine and the various attachment's used would deeply massage and bring blood to receive oxygen and remove toxin's like a massage and then once that is circulating the connective tissue, manipulation firms up and creates collagen ! After to manage the treatment use a firming cream daily! Hope this is another alternative to consider in a daily, monthly or weekly treatment for many body results!
Fantastic thanks for sharing...stimulating collagen naturally is a great idea. I had IPL, intensed pulsed light therapy for broken capillaries on my face right under my eye area, and voila wrinkles gone there!! It removed the capillaries AND created more collagen. The only problem is, did not do the other under eye area and it is noticeably more wrinkled...it needs a zap there to lift and plump it now.
Have just found the" standing pilate mat lady." and am thrilled to bits.but not used to my tablet yet but having found I can put it on my TV.wonderful! ! I'd like a meditation one in English as well as having a stressful time at mo.Thank you SO much
Vitamin K2 sourced through the Japanese Nattoj, also helps slowly to shrink the flabby skin. I spent most of my life morbidly obese and in the last few years, I've lost 153 pounds. While I have some saggy skin, it doesn't look like most skin of people who have lost a lot of weight. I'm 70 and am still losing and taking care of my skin and diet. My batwings bother me the most - the face is pretty good and torso still needs some work but no flaps or folds. I've gone from 26-28 to 14-16 in tops and 16-18 for bottoms, and my feet are down a size.
i cant exercise due to severe issues with neck and back, that will eventually require surgery. i recently lost weight from keto diet and went through menopause at 46. all this has been a lousy combo.
You are wonderful. I really enjoy your videos. I actually stop eating at 6pm. And I have my breakfast at 12pm. It’s so late because I have pills to take on an empty stomach. I have lunch at 3pm. And my last meal at 6pm. Eating at these times has helped me to not be hungry. I have also lost weight. I feel great. I will be 55 on sept. 8 And I still haven’t started menopause. I can’t wait for it to begin. Anyway I love your videos. Keep them coming.
I LOVE your necklace! I always admire your necklaces: the kind of thing I would wear/I’m an artist so I really appreciate seeing those; thanks for all the amazing info! I’m only 49 but these are all things I can and will use for my body.🙏🏻💗
I am 55 & never eat after 7pm, i take multi vitimins & exsercise or dance around the house alot. I use coconut oil & almond butter that seems to make my skin soft. Thank you for sharing your tips & i will try your suggestions.
Thanks so much Schellea!. This for me has been the best help video for sagging skin I've watched. I love how you promote products that are affordable, but also clearly state the improtance of excercise. Im hitting 66 this year and I sure have noticed my sagging skin on legs and arms. I did lose quite a lot of weight in a short time and as you stated it's pobably the reason for this. It certainly did get me down as suddeny my sleeveless tops weren't at all flattering anymore. I guess it has to be a happy medium of doing the best I can and accepting the results I get. I believe rebounding is good also. So I'm continuing with your wonderful workouts and keeping hope alive...lol
Thank you for mentioning that you don't need to overthink any body part - it's just not healthy! Also, muscle does NOT weigh more than fat. A pound is a pound. Muscle is shaped differently than fat, for sure. But it weighs the same. :)
Shellea, Just found your channel & will subscribe - I love it! You are so beautiful and smart! I found a cure for my crepy skin @61! I sleep w/vaseline a over my hands, arms & legs everynight & I have beautiful, soft, smooth skin!! And so cheap!
I only use on my skin is Coconut Oil and Bi-carb, for everything, the best for exfoliating ones face is Bi-carb......you do not need to spend $180 on any cream,....I look 20 years younger so I'm told, these products work fabulously, for pennies.....try it, you will never look back...luv from London ❤

I'm turning 62 on Monday. It truly is a gift to continue to be here. So many people don't have the privilege to age. Yes, Build muscle!! Keep moving. Thank you for sharing.
Well said Kasey ... and Happy early Birthday! 🎁🎈🎂
Exactly. Eat healthy clean food, exercise and be the best you can be. Schellea is great... love hearing some other choices as well. 👍
Walk 1 hour daily
Hi, you are so right! Have a wonderful birthday and 🎂 enjoy your day 🎂🧁🎈🎉 blessings to you 💝🍷🍷
Hello. Congratulations
I am 70 and I thank God every day for my life and good health.
Indeed.
Amen! During her exercises and stretches I thank Jesus and am happy He gave me life ❤️
Or wait till you hit 80.
I agree! God bless!!
What kind of exercise do you do?
Autophagy is when your body “takes out the garbage”. Once it’s done processing the intake ( putting away the groceries you brought in ) then it starts the housecleaning.
Schelea, Please do a video on the top 10 things you never go a day without doing.
Drinking 64 - 128 ounces of plain water per day will also help the sagging skin among other benefits.
Thanks for taking the time to comment Vinette N.! Have a great day 🌸
I’m the same. I think it might be caused by a combo of sun damage & gravity. I always apply factor 50 to my neck now
@@anne-karinwilby2303 Thanks.. my daughter recommended that to me too
I’ve been intermittent fasting for 2 years. I lost a lot of weight and my arms did get really flabby. Lately I’ve noticed they are getting much better! I’m 53 so it just takes some time. I also do body brushing and lift some weights. You’re doing all the right things you look amazing 😊
Thanks for taking the time to share your comment Elizabeth Holmes! Have a great day 🌸
Hello Elizabeth
Great info:
Tips: Drinking lots of water, green drinks and using exfoliating shower gloves...
What would you recommend instead. Im 32 and notcing a lot of arm saggy skin. My eyes are sagging too.
CeraVe. It's a great moisturizer with ceramides and hyaluronic acid. In lotion or cream depending on how dry you are.

I’m vegan - Thanks for including us! Ladies - lift those weights! I’m not perfect with my diet & exercise so these reminders are always welcome.💗
Thanks for sharing your shower tip with us Queen of Pentacles! O love that one...Have a great day ❤️
I was surprised she didn't mention water o posted the same comment
I love your attitude and I love it when you geek out on the research and share it with us :-)
Nicely said!!!
😃😃 A wrinkled little dumpling😃😃❤ Nicely said post. A lot of it is genetics you can only do so much...
Sounds like your taking good care of yourself. You have a great attitude which is important and ageless.
Genetics plays 95 % .
Hello Jill
This is great...love all your advice. I use a pair of exfoliating gloves in the shower and that has helped my skin no end.
I love your energy and tips. Thank you. I have tried drybrushing, i put an organic body oil on wet skin, intermittent fasting. Also 2 min plank a day is a complete workout. What you feed your body (food, fluids, thoughts) are key too. Hugs
I love this woman! She inspires me. I have been trying to do her work outs. I love her voice!
She reminds me a little of Olivia Newton John, both her face and her voice...she’s so beautiful and sweet ☺️
Thanks for taking the time to comment B. Ellen Wesley! Have a great day 🌸
Hello Ellen
Shelley, the way you share your vibrant, enthusiasm with us all in this video, is fabulous... it's contagious in a fun way. Thanks for your generosity with all that you share. Your home environment always looks stunning in the background. :)
Hello Satina

I tried intermittent fasting and felt great while doing it but as soon as I ate any carbs I crashed!! Exhausted. 😞.

Thanks I have noticed the sagging skin after losing weight. What has helped is exercising. Just because we age doesn't mean just wear long sleeves. Upper strength helps with energy and arthritis. Love your channel!

Right?? Do you ever look back at photos from 10-15-20 years ago and wish you were "as fat" now as you were though you were back then?😂😂😂😂
I think she had much more before she started doing the exercise, brushing, moisturising etc.
You should be so proud of yourself for all of the hard work you’re putting in Judi. Stay strong and fabulous 💪❤️
Hello Kita
Aveeno cream for dry skin does hold the moisturizing feeling the next day if I apply it at bedtime. It truly lasts on my arms until evening.
Thanks for promoting intermittent fasting. And thanks for your moisturizer suggestions!

I've been doing intermittent fasting for about 4 months and occasionally go down to one meal a day. People have noticed that I've lost weight (nearly 4 stones) and my skin is clearer. I found collagen capsules where I live and take them once a day. I've reduced my coffee intake and have found that I am sleeping a lot better than I used to, no brain fog and I'm not tired during the day :)
dawn Easthope I am doing some research on IF right now, since clients ask me about it a lot
Do you f el that it is difficult to stick with?

Hi Denise Pfahl! Thanks so much for your lovely comment...I appreciate you taking the time... Have an amazing week 💕
Your necklace is AMAZING!
It will be a better place, healthier too :)
Thank you for all you do.
Use a Thighmaster- check eBay or thrift stores, or get a sponge ball and squeeze it with your thighs. Resistance training.
Where do you get those products? How do you make the serum?

I really appreciate the information I think it's been needed and embrace the fabulous 50 years ! accepting it's as a real shift in my life toward healthy eating nutritional values and proper exercise and care for overall health 😃
Hello Loma
My skin has gotten like that also from intermittent fasting. Thank you so much for sharing this. God bless you 🦋
aha moment! so thats why my skin is starting to look so much better. Im on the keto diet and the meats im eating are giving me lots of protein! awesome....thanks for helping us understand that. Plus i drink lots of water...and only water.
U soo cute how u jump from your heels. It shows how entusiastic you are about the topic
Lol I noticed that too
Ok, I've done 5 videos !
Hi Schellea, your videos are so informative and I love that you do lots of research before posting.
Thanks Rose Iozzi I really appreciate your comment...Have a beautiful week ❤️
Very informative! I’m 48 and am noticing the crepe skin on my arms and legs.😱 Thanks for all the product info!
Keeping fit needs discipline and I admire people like you who has that dedication. 😍
Wow , your skin looks beautiful.
You made me laugh - the skin that flaps around in the wind when you are not looking 😂
But yes, I have it too! Loss of collagen , accelerated by sun damage. But, like you said, exercise definitely helps to add some tone. As well as AHA for texture and even some retinol or Retin a on the body can help
Most importantly though, we need to learn to love ourselves, flappy skin and all, cause there will always be something...
Thank you for another great video 💕
Me too 🤣🤣😂😂
lidi days 😂💕
I just subscribed to your channel all in assistance to Healthy Living, this has helped a lot with self love as you are always thinking about your own health and well-being 😍
Amy F Parker Amy, are you taking about my channel or Schellea’s?
Regardless, it nice to hear you are taking good care of yourself 😍
@@claudiaglows I just subscribed to Your channel, I've been a subscriber to Shellea's channel for some time already🌹
@@7RB373 Yes, I do it myself, using a dermaroller.
@@2figuras , okay, and do you put a serum or lotion on your arms afterwards? thanks for the idea.
@@7RB373 Yes, hyaluronic acid. I do it once a month.
I'm going to check this out thanks for the lotion tip
@@AMcG-hf6yx I am a big fan of CereVe. It took a bit of time, but with regular use my skin stays smooth, and I dare say, silky. I have a subscription for these through Amazon.
I'm hooked on quinoa which is a gluten free whole grain food which is very high in protein. It is so delicious and easy to prepare and very versatile. It is considered a complete protein and is a good source of antioxidants and minerals. I am 67 and do your workouts every day and have seen great results. Thank you for all your passion and hard work.
Lord have mercy...I wish I had your pretty arms!
Hello Denise
Hello from WV, recently came across your videos and I am loving them! You seem just as lovely on the inside as you are on the outside. Have a beautiful day!
Hi Erica! I'm happy you are enjoying the videos...Thanks for taking the time to comment and have an amazing day 🤗

YES! Autophagy! Good work! Dr Mindy Pelz is a great source for women on this topic.
Thanks for sharing Stacey Kersting 🌸
Stacey Kersting I love Dr Mindy too!
Better yet ~ Dr. Jason Fung. You're welcome 😎
REALLY like that necklace. Beautiful!
Have just found the" standing pilate mat lady." and am thrilled to bits.but not used to my tablet yet but having found I can put it on my
TV.wonderful! ! I'd like a meditation one in English as well as having a stressful time at mo.Thank you SO much
I’ve just thought about something that will help, “sleeves”
Yes, but so few clothing designers consider sleeves. Or shapely clothes for women over fifty.
@@sandrapickering2195 I agree I can't find nice shirts with sleeves.
Try Trenery and Sportscraft - beautiful tops and shirts with sleeves of different lengths. Affordable when on sale.

Please find Dr. Barbara Taylor ( Menopause Barbie here on UA-cam). Maybe she has some good, FREE HELP!
And I still haven’t started menopause.
Hi Coloring ASMR Natalie Cross! Thanks so much for watching...Have a great day 💕
I am 55 & never eat after 7pm, i take multi vitimins & exsercise or dance around the house alot. I use coconut oil & almond butter that seems to make my skin soft. Thank you for sharing your tips & i will try your suggestions.
Cerave SA lotion has salicylic and lactic acid and it’s cheap drugstore :)
Sheryl thank you for sharing this info! 😉👌
I use this. I love Cerave. Good products.
@@sandragillis6956 Except it has cancer causing parabens and it's not cruelty free.
Your so beautiful and an inspiration..you look like Olivia Newton John ..thanks for giving me confidence again x
You are so welcome Julie Standing! Thanks so much for watching...Have a great day 💕
I only use on my skin is Coconut Oil and Bi-carb, for everything, the best for exfoliating ones face is Bi-carb......you do not need to spend $180 on any cream,....I look 20 years younger so I'm told, these products work fabulously, for pennies.....try it, you will never look back...luv from London ❤
