  • As we age, the elasticity of our skin diminishes, not just on our faces but also on our arms. This is primarily due to the depletion of collagen and elastin, which are responsible for maintaining the skin's firmness and structure. This reduction in collagen leads to a loss of volume, laxity of the skin, and the formation of wrinkles. Thankfully, advancements in technology continually offer various options for tightening sagging skin.
What factors contribute to loose skin?
The most prevalent cause of loose and sagging skin is the natural ageing process, which cannot be avoided. As we age, collagen and elastin levels decline, resulting in thinner, drier skin with increased wrinkles and sagging.
Rapid weight loss over a short period can also result in loose skin, particularly when significant amounts of weight are shed. When the skin stretches to accommodate excess body fat and then does not contract after weight loss, it remains loose and sags due to the pull of gravity.
Excessive exposure to sunlight can further accelerate the breakdown of collagen and elastin in the skin, leading to wrinkles and sagging. Frequent unprotected sun exposure accelerates skin ageing and causes a reduction in collagen and skin elasticity. Surprisingly, up to 90% of visible signs of ageing can be attributed to the damaging effects of the sun's UV rays.
How can we address this issue?
There are a number of ways you can address crepey, loose skin on the arms. Some of the most effective treatments I've found include Profhilo, RF microneedling and CoolSculpting (for addressing stubborn pockets of fat on the arms that may result in sagging skin).

There is also a vegan collagen that contains hydroxyproline, proline and glycine, just what we need for type 1 collagen. Please consider Feel collagen booster, so we do not have to keep abusing animals.
