These massive wheels are simply incredible! They look like they’ve been sculpted with a scalpel-so sharp that you almost hesitate to touch them. I absolutely love that effect. And that Nardo Grey color, a nod to Lambo or Audi RS, is just stunning. Thanks, Kris, for this review!!! I’m really hesitating about taking the plunge and ordering one! I love the fact that none of my neighbors really know much about this star-branded car yet-haha.
Looking forward to next week’s comparison. This was another great review! Great car, I just ordered a Launch Edition Polestar3. Great, great value with incentives in US…only $625/mo lease! Great car for the money.
Thank you for this magnificent review. It shows up completely my experience with that car. I started with Software 1.1.8 ... annoying as you said .... but safe and fun to drive. With the latest Update most issues are gone. Still some glitches there but o.k. I enjoy my Polestar 3 . I love to drive it every day. Btw: I had worries about EVs in winter (snow &ice) conditions. Now doubt, the car is perfect in snow and ice conditions
If facelift P3 can improve this point , I will definitelt buy one. 1. increase the length of the rear seat a bit, or add a leg support. One more thing would make it even perfect, that is, reduce the length of the car by 10cm
@@panameradan6860 well having driven both quite a bit, I can say that the Polestar 3 is much more comfortable and compliant in the suspensions, but being as planted, as sporty and with even better steering feel. The Polestar is also considerably more quiet on the move. Combine that with better seats, a much larger front and rear cabin, it makes out to a much more roomy car. I'd also say that unless you option the Macan with the highest trim leather option (5k Euro+), the quality of materials and sense of luxury is better in the Polestar. Spec for spec the Polestar is around 15k Euro cheaper and it has more real world range. If the Q6 E-Tron Quattro is anything to go by, the Polestar gets the same range as the Audi/Porsche in summer, just in winter. So as a package with a limited budget the Polestar imo is a better choice. But of course, the Macan is a Porsche. And if you have the money you can option it out crazy (there is so much customization)and there a several higher trims. The Polestar 3 LRDM competes with the Macan 4, and so does the LRDM Performance. With the Macan you have the 4S and Turbo that will crush the Polestar 3 in performance. We need a Polestar 3 BST sooner rather than later!
A few things that I wish; more buttons, slightly shorter length, air suspension on the single motor, leather seats that were cheaper to option, better OS. Then this car would be incredible
@@KrisRifa interesting. I am not able to configure the car to have the gold break callipers and black seatbelts in the configurer. Do you think you'd be diving down into menus if you weren't reviewing the car? Me personally, I would very rarely feel the need to change things on the go. That doesn't excuse the UI but not much of an issue for me. I have a P3 arriving next week.
yes, many cars have buttons, switches and knobs for changing settings. My Taycan has dial knob on the steering wheels that lets me change drives mode on the go. There is also a suspension button on the gauge cluster. So other cars do this a lot better imo.
Oooohhhh. GTX Tourer is awesome! Truly great.... but this is better in almost every way. This is more expensive, and if your budget won't stretch to cover this, then the ID.7 GTX Tourer is a great choice.
Because it: - is miles better to drive - more quiet - more comfortable - has better seats - much more sporty - has amazing steering - has a superior interior - looks better - has more range - has a better rear seat If you don't care about that, then get the G9 - which I also like. But this in a different class.
obviously I am talking about a new vehicle, so comparing a used Taycan to a new Polestar 3 isn't fair. Not sure what 60-70k USD buys you, but I am guessing you're looking at a 3-4 year old Taycan with say 20-40 miles on the clock? So for those who don't mind a used car, sure it's great at that price point. But I think anybody looking at a used car would consider a Taycan that age and milage is not even an option. My Taycan CT is soon 3 years old and has 46k kilometers on the clock, and I consider it old and used. I would never replace it with any other than a new or nearly new (1-6 months old with 1000-5000km on the clock). For those looking (or needing) a large and practical car, the Taycan isn't really an option. The Taycan will be a little better and sportier to drive, and look even better IMO. But the Polestar 3 is much more quiet and comfortable.
WTLP and EPA ranges are stated at the begining of the video. For real world range check out my range test and long trip test of this car on my channel :)
It looks really nice, but broken technology in a modern car costing 100k is a joke. I drive a Polestar 2 and even after 4 years of this model existance the system still sometimes has errors and needs to be restarted.
I went to check out the Audi and Mercedes SUVs at the dealership, but this Polestar is miles ahead in terms of design and interior. Totally subjective opinion, I’ll admit!
The best way to spend 100k is to buy a great car that will go extinct, like a CT5-V Blackwing or an M5 CS (if you can find it for that kind of money). The Polestar 3 may be a nice EV from this generation. But it will depreciate massively in value and tech in 5 years. So - best way? Probably not. Just saying..
Cadillac don't sell cars in Europe, so outside of the US that ain't an option. Though if you're not going EV, it may be a lot of fun. M5 CS isn't on sale anymore, but if it was it would be a lot more than 100k USD in Europe. But great car!
Absolutely right. The Polestar 3 value after 5 years will depreciate so much in second hand market that price 100k looks ridiculously/desperate high. Even software not finished. 😉.. Thay are as minimum 5 years behind timing of production. no chance to to recoup investments.
