I have seen The Chosen over 20 plus times. I host viewing at my house every Friday night and Sunday night. It still makes me cry, laugh, and just be in aww. There is no better show out there. 💖💖💖 I do have to admit during the week if I'm having a troubled time I binge watch. It my go to along with the Bible. It is unbelievable how when I use The Chosen series as a great program to watch to open up a conversation with someone to witness to them it becomes much easier to do so!
I had been trying to witness to a coworker for three years. She had lost her son to murder and was so angry with God. Using the Chosen series as a suggestion for us both to watch and then talk about after each episode the next day at work has done wonders! She is so MUCH more approachable about God and his love for her that, just before Christmas, she asked me to help her pick out and order a Bible for Christmas for herself because she needed to hear His word daily. ❤️

The musical production, creativity, the concept that went into “Walk on the Water” and “Trouble” is totally mind boggling. One never thinks about things like this because we as viewers always see the final product. Much respect to Dan Hasseltine and Matt Nelson for the musical scores they brilliantly wrote and produced. I love that bluesy, old time spiritual music, keyed in the minor musical scores 🎵 🎶 🎼 .

I love the music, too! In fact, it's my opinion that the music in heaven has Jewish style and sound. I love 2 specific favorite messianic music groups--Lamb and Liberated Wailing Wall. Lamb is on Spotify. I don't know where you can find Liberated Wailing Wall. I just happen to have 1 of their CDs. The name of that CD is "Behold Your God". Both of these groups sing songs full of Hebrew and English lyrics. And when some of the songs are up tempo, I feel so jubilant!!! I hope I'm giving you guys some ideas for future soundtracks! Music, "the universal language," can make or destroy a presentation. What you have done with The Chosen's music beautifully enhances the story and delivers it perfectly to the viewer/listener. I "feel" each scene. Mission accomplished! Bravo! and Encore!

I thought I couldn't love The Chosen more, but then heard and started paying attention to the music. How perfectly suitable and utterly beautiful. There is soulful quality that works so well. The variety - from influences by the blues to the music of India - is astounding. Such a good video that explains the background of the music.
How nice to go back to these historical recordings for someone like me who only discovered The Chosen in 2023.

I love the music. I have downloaded the soundtrack so I can listen before I pick up the students in the morning. I drive a school bus so I am up really early every day. So the students are in the back doing their thing, sleeping, talking etc and I am in the driver seat singing Trouble. I absolutely love that song. So I sing to them every day and they don't know but I do. Great score!!!!!!!!
Just seen this video and Im thankful for the mucians for their job well done. I mean Ive watched the CHOSEN over and over and I believe you have been chosen for such a time as this. I just started listening to the score a few weeks ago. My favorites are “The Embrace” and “Woman at the Well.” It’s like I’m experiencing the scene without having to watch it and hear the words exchanged. It’s so cool. I don’t have a trained ear for music but I loved hearing you guys talk about the different elements and textures that go into creating a score!
I love this soundtrack! It is one of my favorite parts of this show and is one of my most listened to albums on Spotify. I listen to it while having my quiet time. I've also watched the Chosen so many times, I can identify which episode and scene the music is from just from the first few notes. The "Miracle of the Fish" and "Mary's Healing" pieces are two of my favorites. I listen to them over and over. A huge smile breaks out one my face whenever they start playing.
The music is perfection! What an inspiration Dallas had. Brilliant to ask Matt and Dan to accomplish this masterpiece.
I love the music of the show. I put on my Chosen hoodie on and I binge the entire season one every Sunday afternoon. Even my teenage sons join in to watch it. What best way to keep a Sabbath day holy than to think about Jesus and what his life could’ve been like. ❤️

Today I had a really important job interview and I was pretty nervous. Then on my way I played Walk on the water and it gave me such a great confidence boost and I felt good. That's the power the music have
I love this sort of information. The music makes a definite impact, but I have no idea what elements go into evoking specific emotional responses. Now that I know some of the things to listen for, another viewing may be in order.
It was especially fascinating to learn that the exciting music that made me want to dance, laugh, and cheer at the end of episode 4 was not what Dallas originally had in mind! And the fact that it was initially conceived as an “Irish Jig” was interesting, because what I heard was echoes of “Brincan Y Bailan,” a Spanish language song, part of which translates into English as “Leaping and dancing, the fishes in the water...”

I’ve bought many Christian movies this one is number #1 on my list to buy all seasons for my library 🙏🏽❤️. Lord Jesus be with all of you. I’ve watched all the two seasons and some of the makings of them on UA-cam and it’s amazingly beautiful it still speaks to me. Thank you everyone for all sacrifices and the children that were used for His glory and honor. Love every episode!! It’s drawing me closer to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. He is the way, truth and life!
The longer I watch The Chosen the more I love and appreciate the music. There are times I will watch scenes or trailers over and over bc I love how powerful and great the music is. We actually almost always dance to the opening. We get that excited.
My husband and I started watching the Chosen and it is now something we look forward to watching ( and rewatching :) together almost every night! The music immediately stood out to us as never before in a profound way. Thank you for your excellent work and for bringing family time back to being wholesome and enjoyable! 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
The music for Episode 4 is STUNNING! It’s incredible in all the episodes, but this one! Oh, my! From the subtle accelerating tension of the music while Simon is fishing alone -through the absence of music when Zebedee and his sons join him and the sad strains as by morning they have no fish - to the joyous celebratory musical score when Simon & Andrew are hauling in the catch and the others are running to help! Incredible doesn’t even begin to describe it. The moments with no music are perfectly “orchestrated” and makes the musical moments even more powerful. The simple soulful notes while Jesus is speaking from Simon & Andrew’s boat are so moving. Then musical silence again. When the music begins just as the net is surfacing and continues it’s joyful progression, you know that Simon’s coming response time Jesus will be just as deep and emotional as it actually is a few minutes later. Thank you guys for letting this music flow from you onto the screen in such a powerful way.
I just love the opening song.. I just can't get enough of it.. It has a blend of all emotions and perfect instrumental support.. And it sounds so real with the headphones.this music is oxygen to the blood. One of the best song and it beats out all the other songs of Hollywood

I ❤❤❤ The Choosen. I heard of it on Instagram and went to check it out and it was the best decision I have ever done. The first episode left me in tears and adoration for the lord. Every time I hear the Irsih gig in the catch scene its like..I cant even describe. Like the joy from the holy spirit and the peace and😊it's beautiful. I was screaming and cheering for them😂

I love the song Trouble and how it was played at the last part of Episode 8! I can't describe how that song made my heart so happy besides the fact that it was so perfect for the scene. This song in particular would make The Chosen really appealing to the younger generation of today and hopefully touch their hearts and really desire to have a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.. To Director Dallas Jenkins, to the actors and to all involved in this project, God bless you all and may you continue to make Jesus more known to the world through THE CHOSEN. 🙏❤️

The music during the show is incredible! I felt there was a Celtic sound mixed with middle eastern. I felt like I was listening to Clannad songs. Gorgeous! The actual theme song wasn’t my favorite but that’s just personal taste. Well done on all of it!
The first episode the chosen watch me feel good then I watch season 1 eight episode fully and that's great to learn more about Jesus and his students life there are many things that not understand in bible for teens ages but truly appreciate the chosen app for this act of kindness God bless you and your team 👍

The Chosen creates an interest and awareness of our Christ the Messiah. We live in a secular world that excludes prayer from public places and schools. We yield to the threats and demands of nonbelievers and atheists, or non-Christian religions try to dictate what is acceptable and what is not. Dallas has been very mindful of his approach to representations of the Bible; and it is apparent he considers the objections and concerns of Christian viewers. We all have to show reverence and respect to the Bible; and when taking the liberties to use this subject as a form of entertainment, it is very important not to grieve the Holy Spirit. In all things we do, we must humble ourselves in the presence of the Almighty God. I think The Chosen has been blessed. When they step out of line, Jesus will send His message somehow; but otherwise, He sends His blessings. He could stop it at any moment; but to give Him glory and honor in this way, allows His blessings to flow. God's blessings to Dallas, his wife and family, all the actors, and all those who make this wonderful series possible. Praise and honor our Lord God forever and ever! He reigns in heaven and on earth!

Thank you for letting us followers (as always) to see "behind the curtain," to see the inspired work being done on this show at every. single. level. This layer, the music, is *so* unique and special, and the show would not be as moving without it, and I loved hearing about how it all came together. (It's up there with the great film/TV composers like Michael Giacchino, IMHO, with how it elevates the action happening onscreen.)

My ten years old daughter, who never EVER cries when watching movies, couldn’t stop crying out of joy during the fishing miracle in the end of episode 4.

Repent so many times and praises His name so many times. Always reminds me there more important things than the things of this world. More important things than materialistic desires. I got to know The Chosen through music..I used to get this adds on my UA-cam and I always skip them but one time I couldn’t skipped and heard the theme song on the trailer “down to the water” it was so nice that I began to research on the movie and got to know it is The Chosen… this movie has been a blessing to my life and family🔥
The first time I heard the music for the opening credits I was definitely not a fan. This wasn't anything like I was used to as being part of a Biblical show. However, every time I listened to it I liked it more and more and now I love it. My favorite pieces are those that underlie the healing of Mary Magdalene in Episode 1 and the meeting between Jesus and Nicodemus in Episode 7. They're both so beautiful and ethereal and they move me to tears when I hear them. I love listening to the soundtrack at the gym when I'm on the treadmill. When I'm tired and want to hang it up for the day, I put on the music for "The Miraculous Catch" and imagine Zebedee yelling "Let's go!". It helps.
