I love the empty seat for Elijah and Jesus came, took the seat fulfilling the Jewish hope that the Messiah would come.
I caught that too, i was hoping he mentioned that part. Even if it seemed that it was a mistake Mary made, it was really all part of a purpose.
Yes definitely, I picked up on that right away. Funny that Mary was confused about the holiday and how awesome the empty seat was filled.
The part about Jesus winking at Barnaby shows that Jesus sees into people’s hearts and that he knew there was no offense meant.
Dallas Jenkins Exactally right. I loved that whole scene. Especially when Jesus first showed up at the door. I always viewed the life of Jesus as so formal in the way it’s presented in the Bible. There had to be lots of love and laughter in that time. It truly makes a person think.
Firstly, I absolutely loved when Barnabas made the joke about Nazareth! 😆 But I’m a laugher and love laughing. Secondly, I loved at the end of the scene, when Mary was finished reciting the prayer, the way Jesus was looking at her and shaking his head like a proud father admiring his toddler who had just completed a difficult task. It makes me tearful. A Father showing pride in his child. Beautiful!
Agree. The same while he is listening to the children recite prayer in episode 3.
I agree with the awkwardness when Mary opens the door too...made it so real. Also, I enjoyed the awkward pauses when Jesus met big James and John's mother. Brilliant!
You know, one of the thousands of realistic moments in this series that I would like to enhanced apon, is when Nicodemus leaves the moneybag at the well. His heartbreak was so real.
SharEl Grace I love these moments too! Don’t we all experience moments like these all the time?! I love that Dallas puts them in because often when movies are made about Jesus, every moment is so perfect. So when our real life moments aren’t perfect like that, we feel like we are doing something wrong. This series reminds us that those awkward moments are all a part of it. ❤️
Anything with Nicodemus! Especially the mirror scene. I love his character and relate to him so much lol
one of my fav scenes! I cried...my heart just broke for him. So many of us can relate to being like Nicodemus. Strapped by the cares and demands of life that we aren't free to sacrifice it all to follow him. 🥺
I was moved when Mary tried to defer to Jesus to lead Shabbat. His comment that "this is your house." spoke/speaks volumes to me. He enters but not as a bull in a china shop. He's there/here gently guiding her/me to know him better. Reminds me of the scene where the children recite Shema, his comment of hearing them say it move him, even though he seemed rather melancholy, like he was remembering something precious. Thank you for these small moments.
I also saw it as him giving her a sense of agency.
She was under the demons hold for so long, unable to control or take charge of anything.
To be able to host a small dinner in her home for the first time in ages, and be allowed to say the opening prayer even after all of this time must’ve been very empowering and freeing to her. Like she could finally move on and heal.
The humor was something I never thought Jesus doing, but of course, He became flesh. Of course he would have humor! This made me fall even more in love with Jesus !!! I feel His presence when I watch all!!
I have always thought that Jesus would laugh as often as He could. It is wonderdul to see it in The Chosen. Beautiful!!!
Yes. With every episode. It will build a relationship with our Lord. Makes me dread future scenes.....the truth tgat saved our Souls.
That wink was gold. That is exactly how I picture Jesus reacting to an uncomfortable situation. He would diffuse the tension and put everyone at ease. I believe Jesus will prove to be the most "unreligious" person we will ever meet, in the sense of staid, unnecessarily constricting rules and regulations. It's also hard to say enough about how much Liz is adding to this series. Great job by everyone.
I would like to have an analysis of the city fountain where Nicodemus is weeping. Eric Avari's performance was simply amazing.
Micah Crews yes!! I, too want to dig into nicodemus and his thoughts. It really pulled at my heart!
I literally was about to comment about the fountain scene, and i look and see this comment first. The fountain scene is very grasping, relatable, and also sad, its a good hint that this show probably will do a great job of the sacrifice and ressurection, the gut feeling then the relief, this show is great 10/10.
@Dallas Jenkins how do you go about applying for work with you? I am a vet and former Police Officer and, well-in between homes I guess you could say. I am willing to work hard long days. Would be nice to have some cover and food for the work, but this story is so important to get out to the masses, I will work for less than that... I also went to college and helped start the first SUN School in the state I was living in to help low income at risk youth. Right now, I’ve been knocked down, as we all have been, and I will get back up. I would love to be a part of your work.
@@charliemike13 They have a Facebook page. Try there if you haven't heard from him. Good luck and God bless you. Thank you for your service.
Thank you for adding explanation to why I loved this scene so much!! I LOVED that Mary set an extra chair for Elijah at her Shabbat dinner, which was to be done only for Passover dinner. I wonder how many Jews take care of this detail, really expecting him to show up or just do it for tradition’s sake? Mary incorrectly, yet innocently sets up the chair and Jesus, the one greater than Elijah, chooses to show up at her house and sits in the chair. A BEAUTIFUL, powerful, yet subtle foreshadowing of Jesus the Messiah!!! The writing, acting, and production is unmatched. Thank you for sharing your talents.
Having seen the chosen, I pray differently, I have been able to relate with Jesus in a more personal and intimate way than I ever thought was possible.
When I feel alone... Frightened ... Clueless...I start watching The Chosen episodes... Then I am like.. he is with me.. talking.. smiling ... Laughing... Hugging... Waving.... It helps me to feel my Lord.. thank you so much... ❤
I’m just loving the way you’re portraying the people of the Gospels. Never irreverent, but always human, four dimensional people.
I love your quote ‘It’s not your job to feed the 5000. Your job is to bring the loaves & fish’ I find myself praying & laying all I have at the Lord’s feet and asking him to take it, bless it and grow it how he sees fit.
One of the things I loved the most about this scene was the fact that Jesus didn't say or do anything in regards to healing the blind woman or the crippled man. It's so easy to get caught up in all the stories of people that Jesus DID heal, that we often forget about all the ones He didn't. There are so many people that God doesn't heal for whatever reason, and its good to be reminded that God sees beyond our physical struggles with our earthly bodies. God has done so many amazing things through peoples' physical challenges. It's good to remember that man looks at the outside, but God looks at the heart.
I know for me personally, God chose to heal some things immediately, while others have taken years and are still ongoing. I am so grateful for that. He has used those ongoing challenges to do so many amazing wonderful things that would never have happened if I had been totally healed, totally healthy.
I have a friend with cerebral palsy who doesn't like to go to charismatic churches, because he is so sick of people wanting to pray for his physical healing. He is sick of people only seeing his physical challenges.
I believe with all my heart Jesus eventually healed her. How could He not improve EVERY life He encountered?
You opened my eyes to see or understand why I wasn't totally healed. The same thing happened to me. I kept struggling again and again with issues. I wanted to get the healing fast, and understanding with the Bible fast. I wanted to be a pastor etc...Then I realized that is not what God wants from me. I still have questions now that I'm older but I learn to accept whatever he wants from me. No matter what He Never left from me. ❤️🙏✝️.
I love the look she had when she opened the door. I imagine that is what I will look like when one day I finally see Jesus.
Hi Dallas Jenkins. The Chosen has inspired my sons. This is definitely an inspired work. I was the one who suggested my sons download the App but they watched all the episodes before I watched them. I have subsequently watched all the first series. Two scenes that really captivated me were the story of Peter and especially how Jesus called him, visited his home and gave him the reason for following Him. The other one is the journey of Nicodemus! This is still a challenge for many esteemed religious and corporate leaders who find faith in Jesus intriguing yet they so not confess it publicly for one reason or another. It reminded me of John 12:42 which says, "Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue."
I love love love how Jesus keeps showing up at people’s homes for dinner and the group he brings unannounced just keeps getting bigger!!
"I was one way, now I am completely different. And the thing that happened in between, was Him." EPIC LINE!!!
I love Mary! This episode SO POWERFUL! ...and now I am something different. In between was HIM!
AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!
Thank you Dallas!
Oh wow. All the times I have watched this episode, it never hit me till just now that Jesus waited for Mary to ask him in to her home. As he does for all of us. Reminds me of one of my favorite short stories, "My Heart, Christ's Home," by Robert Boyd Munger. Wow. Thank you again for this deep truth so accessibly displayed.
I agree. I thought it was due to her shock and it was the mannerly thing yo. Which of course it is but... He knocked, she answered AND she let Him in.
My favorite scene is Jesus walking along the water with the children. That is my mental ‘safe place’ to go to when life is upsetting. Thank you for all you are doing.
That is so beautiful! I'm going to show that episode to my young child. He's too young for the rest of it, but I think he'd like to see how Jesus might have been with the children.
I love how Jesus gently nods his head when Mary finishes reciting the Shabbat prayer. It's such a beautiful gesture!
I saw the wink the 2nd time I watched this episode and LOVED it! Kudos! I'm crying again, just knowing how much God understands our awkwardness and needs.
My heart broke for Matthew when he shared his Shabbat dinner with the dog ... made me think of those that are lonely and we need to pay attention ....
Why did I love this scene? Why did I shed tears? Because there are many of us (believers for many years) that have awakened to the importance of Shabbat. We, like Mary, want to do our best to observe but don't have a clue about how to begin...so we just take the first step. Yeshua (Jesus) was so patient, encouraging, and pleased with HER desire to take those first steps. Excellent!
I pray daily for The Chosen Psalm 32:8 for every aspect.
Paras has done such a fabulous job portraying Matthew. I hurt for him in his endeavors of just trying to live in such a polar society. My heart cries for joy when Yeshua gives Matthew that "I know you look" and Matthew looks back with such longing and adoration.
Exactly!!!!! Loved when Matthews and Jesus eyes meeting!!!!!!! Very.
special!!!
I absolutely loved the wink!!! When I saw it the first time, I laughed out loud in the room by myself watching this episode. I think this was the first time I thought, "I love how they have made Jesus a real person!" Thank you for following God's guidance in making The Chosen.
Yes, the scene with Jesus and Eden. Though she's not revealed in the Gospels other than through inference and mentioned in the Epistles, she MUST have been a key player for Simon to follow Jesus. It's soooo sweet to have Jesus acknowledge Eden's faith & support in her husband and to "see" her. I'm a 29-year missionary in Japan with The Navigators with a Japanese wife who is EVERY bit as much involved in ministry as I am, even more. She is definately my "better half!" But she's not paid staff, she doesn't stand up front most of the time, she doesn't get "seen" as often as I do... but in the Kingdom's economy, she is a Servant who works tirelessly to love her Master and to love His Chosen People (whether we know yet if they're "Chosen" or not). It is HEALING to see Jesus acknowledge Eden's sacrifice and to make provision for her while Simon was going to be traveling with Jesus... that's also maybe why He gave the large catch of fish, rather than relief from a tax burden, but to provide for Simon's wife and mother-in-law and John & James' parents. Jesus later provides for Peter's tax burden through the fish with a coin in his mouth and it shows Jesus' concern for the mundane concerns of life... Matthew 6:25-34 promises us "all these things shall be yours as well" if we seek first His Kingdom and His Righteousness. What a sweet scene to show that!
I love the insight about people answering Jesus, “yes.” I never noticed that! I’d love to see you talk about the scene when Salome meets Jesus. More of that classic awkwardness but I adore the way she looks upon Jesus. It’s precious!
The look on her face is exactly the look I picture many of us would have if we saw Him....Thrilled adoration!!!!!
There's a small behind-the-scenes segment from that scene in our video about James and John. Have you seen that yet? ua-cam.com/video/vEIyA9f9wzQ/v-deo.html
Jesus winking is one of my absolute favorite moments - and I think that it speaks volumes for the humanity of our Lord. I can honestly say that this series has brought me closer to Jesus than I have ever been in my whole life - simply because of the acknowledgment of our Lord’s humanity.
I love the humor and warmth and humanity in this series. I feel so pleased that this is based on the Truth. Lucky us to have Jesus. ❤️
Thanks to God for this amazing production and for all those willing to follow Him in spreading the good news, Jesus is very alive and amazing!
I LOVED the scene in Ep 3 when Abigail and Joshua are hiding behind the wall and Jesus makes funny noises to make them laugh. That brought me so much joy as well as being totally unexpected and different from the usual pious portrayals of Jesus. Made sense too, as it showed him as a great natural teacher
I love His wink👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️...I don't know Dallas, if you yourself read these comments?! I have to say, this series of the first 8 episodes have fueled my hunger, fulfilled my desire for clean and holy entertainment, I hate to say entertainment, because this has fed my soul...I know the blessings I have received. I quit all tv 6 years ago and am trying to evaluate all that I sit in front of my eyes. I love the Lord for all that He is and has done for me and mine! If this has touched me this way, having only found it in mid dec. I can't imagine ( please hear me) my life without this now, I can approach anyone with the topic and bring out "Grace" in my explaining of the fulfillment of the law. I have used and will continue using this as a tool! I pray for you and all involved!! Thankyou more than words for this! I have studied Gods word with an expedience since this! May God continue to bless your efforts! Just a pilgrim that's thankful for that cup of water
Wow, I get such chills when I watch these videos!! 🙏🙏 And I LOVED the wink!!! 😉
I love that this show tells more or a story and isn’t just the miracles of Jesus strung together, then the crucifixion and resurrection, then the ascension.
I love how relatable all the characters are ❤️
I agree i think what impressed me most so far is trying to imagine Jesus as a human. So far i have loved most of the regular things Jesus does as just a plain person. Makes me so much closer to him. Some of the ones that stand out is the kids, getting ready for bed, meeting the deciples on the way to the wedding, the wedding itself, and this scean. I remember during Thanksgiving commenting to others to set a plate for our savior. So keep up the good work.
Thank you for your explanation of Episode Two; i love the fact that Jesus was compassionate and has a sense of humor; it makes him seem "for real"!
The casting of The Chosen is so well done, I like how the actors fit the characters, very relatable. Johnathan as Jesus is superb and I like actor who plays Gaius the roman soldier I'd love to see him become a follower. Though I thought in this scene Jesus was going to heal the blind lady.
I love seeing how people lived in the days of Jesus . Thank you and the writers for trying to get this right. While I know it doesn’t always stick strictly to Scripture ( but it’s close) , you do try and make it real. Love the wink , Jesus was and is , so light hearted and good . I think y’all captured my Savior perfectly. Jonathan Roumie is wonderful. Love seeing all the behind the scenes clips and how the series comes together. As always Dallas thanks for bringing... the loaves and the fishes.🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
I loved the metaphor/ foreshadowing of Jesus taking the seat that Mary had set out for Elijah. Also when Nicodemus’s guest says “find a seat at the head of the table”, foreshadowing and preparing the audience for when Christ’s says “choose the lowest place not the highest.”. I have a hunch that those words will resonate with Nicodemus the most, since it clearly bothers him having to constantly “perform”. He clearly recognizes that some pharisees are taking glory from God, instead of giving it to Him. Which is why he corrects his guest who said to Him “You make us whole.” Tired of the superficial flattery, Nicodemus responds “Only God can do that.”
I’m grateful that your not lazy or careless with the smallest metaphors and symbolism. Keep it up and God Bless ☺️ 🌹🕊🌹
I love the moment when he says “she is bliiiind!” And Jesus says “aaahhh” it’s one of my favorites so far. I just love Jesus and how He is shown in this series. Thank you
One of my most favorite scenes is where Peter tells his wife that he is going to go travel with Jesus. I would love that scene and what led up to it "dissected" and what you worked to bring out in her...her tears and pride in him was unforgettable. I am getting a throat lump as I recall it. ♥ I have the DVD and will by the 2nd season DVD.
A family member shared “The Chosen” with me and after watching the free episodes, I was hooked! Your portrayal of Jesus is so unlike any other movies I’ve ever watch about His life. You seem to capture a character trait no one else has been able to accomplish- the genuine love of Jesus for all people! This series is no doubt affecting lives of believers and unbelievers.
Imagine looking into the face of Jesus! What could we possibly refrain but the phrase "Oh My God!" The only time you could say it, that it wouldn't be inappropriate or irreverent. We shouldn't call the Lord's name in vain. As to the character of Jesus in human-form, I do believe He was always gentle, compassionate, and allowed for our nervous receptions. After-all, they knew Jesus was the Messiah prophesied by the ancient Jewish prophets. You have the Savior of the World knocking at your door. How would you receive Him, I mean without fainting on the spot? I enjoyed this warm and imaginative scene.
It's fabulous that Dallas shares the ideas behind the scenes. They reinforce our understanding or explain the missing pieces. Thank you.
I was really touched by Mary, the mother of Jesus, washing Jesus’s feet after he returned from a whole day of healing - Season 2, Episode 3. So tender!!!
Dallas first there aren’t enough words to adequately express how much I love and have been impacted by this show so I’ll just say thank you from the depths of my heart to you and everyone involved with this beautiful show. I have two scenes I’d like to suggest. One is the calling of Matthew. That is such a complex scene with so many moving parts. And I just absolutely love the look on Mary’s face when Jesus says Matthew’s name the first time. It’s a quick look at her face but her expression says so much. The other scene I suggest is actually any scene with Matthew, Gaius and Quintus. Those three are so riveting to watch.
@Dallas Jenkins I, too, love watching Mary's face throughout the different interactions. She is the first one to "get it", when Jesus welcomes broken people... because she herself was broken and experienced His healing and love. This is my own life story, and I love seeing it walked out in this role. Watching Liz's interpretation of Mary is spurring me on to love others unconditionally. I am so grateful to all of you for the writing, the editing, the acting, that production, the music, etc, etc., etc. I will be praying for you daily as you continue this project.
For the director , you have done a very good project here. I love it
Agree these are awesome! And all of Mr. Avari's scenes are awesome. The rooftop and the heartbreak by the well, are especially moving! The humanity of Jesus is awesomely written as well. The wink at dinner, not too shabby, can't help him dance. awesome stuff
Love this Mary and Jesus shabbat scene, tears to the eyes😊
Thank You Dallas for bringing this beautiful rendition of Jesus life into our Holmes in this very difficult time...
Love these videos! Would love to see an analysis of the scene where Jesus talks to and encourages Peter’s wife. That scene hit me deep, and I was so thankful you included that perspective.
Love the look when she saw Jesus..!!💗💗 Happiness within!
The deeper character is what sets The Chosen head and shoulder above all others. A powerful ministry and a joy.
I absolutely love the way you portrayed the Shabbat dinner from all different angles. It was genius.
I so love the scenes where the crowd gathers at Zebs house, the romans arrive with Matthew, Andrew goes to them, Mary walks away with the ethiopean groupe, Matthew finds the ladder etc... all that camera work from different angels around the preaching of Jesus ... would love to know how you prepare and film this scene
Hey Dallas,
I’ve commented on a previous video, and not sure if you’ve seen it. Please allow me to translate the show to my own language, Bosnian. That way, it could also be viewed by Serbians and Croatians since the languages have about the same amount of differences as British English and American English.
The Balkan Peninsula desperately needs the Gospel, the show could be a great encouragement for people to look into a Bible.
I’ve studied languages back in my city of Sarajevo, but now I live in the US. Born in a Muslim family, but now a born again Christian. Praise Lord!
Thank you, Dita. We have a resource specifically for translating: thechosen.tv/translate
Loved the way you switched between the Shabbat celebrations. The writing and directing is so very good.
This is the best program ever! I pray for season 2. Dear Lord make this happen 🙏
Very good work. Praised be Jesus Christ.
I love your insight into the feelings of people's encounters with Jesus. I am Catholic and so much appreciate your sensitivity to the encounters that people of many faiths have to Jesus and Mary, His mother.
A lovely analysis of the episode, especially explaining the traditions of that period. The scene of Mary Magdalene reading would never have occurred to me that it was because it wasn't a common custom for a woman to do that.
I love the way that natural language is used and the in-between scenes which build up a plausible and rich story!
I would like to see a behind the scenes for when Jesus heals Simon Peter’s Mother-in-law. It brings to life the verse in Luke, “immediately she rose and began to serve them.”
Deanna K Did you not hear the commotion she made in the back room? From being quiet like dead to rowdy and rambunctious wanting to get up and prepare the meal for the guys? I thought it was good and plenty. Loved it!!
Dallas Jenkins Thank you! I loved that whole scene starting when Jesus was talking with Eden to the Mom preparing food and drinks for everyone. I laughed and cried at the same time.
@@nidhincherian2766 Nidhin: You can partake of any movie that doesn't send a message glorifying any disobedience of the 10 commandments. For example, if a show has violence in it, ask if it is neccessary? For instance, In any story of Jesus, the violence He faced is neccessary to show because that is how the story actually took place. but is doesn't promote or glorify the violence. See the difference? In any story of Indian independence, or World War III or the slavery of blacks in America, its neccessary to show the violence as long as it doesn't send a message promoting it. Similarly you could use the same yard stick for other subjects. Nudity however is not neccessary- there are other ways to depict such scenes.
I agree! I loved the depiction of Simon's mother-in-law when Jesus healed her. Such a Jewish mama! So real to life and believable. Excellently done!
Dallas, can’t wait for season 2! Keep up the great work my brother!
I love when Jesus winks. It makes him endearing. As a kid I'd love it when someone I respected winked at me. It didn't happen often so when I saw this one moment I loved it.
I am so pleased with the direction of this series! Please don’t change a thing! So beautiful!
I would love to see a behind the scenes of the moment Jesus invites Matthew to follow him. The acting and the music in that scene is powerful. So many looks and glances.
This is one of my absolute favorite scenes!! Finding Jesus when and where you least expect Him. Love it!!
Thank you, Dallas❤️ These behind the scenes explanations totally capture my attention. It’s like getting a personal tour. I just want to thank you for sharing this with us.
Praise Yah for this show . Beautiful episode the Shabbat one. Yes traditions are different for all homes but the Sabbath itself is a command (4th one out of the 10) and a great blessing not just a tradition. This portrayed Shabbat rest with our Messiah Yeshua Immanuel in such a beautiful way , and yes different for everyone.❤️
Superb acting and so engaging! I don’t simply watch each scene, I live them as they unfold in each episode...
Definitely one of the most beautiful, original, and heartwarming broadcast on the Savior, His life, and His teachings that I have ever had the pleasure of viewing! I've watched season 1 twice, and I am thoroughly enjoying reading the 40 Days with Jesus book. It definitely adds to my scripture study each day. Thanks for creating such an amazing series!
I really love these vlogs and seeing behind the scenes. Thank you so much. I love ALL things The Chosen!
I realized when Barnabee said Shukla's blindness. Can you make her see? You healed Mary? Love it.
I like all of the characters/actors/actresses. They're all amazing
I love the word “yes” now🥰
This scene made me think that Jesus was possibly remembering Shabbat from a historical perspective as God looking down on his people as they celebrated in the past. I got that feeling from one other scene when Jesus was looking at the heavens, it nade me think he was feeling a bit homesick.
This is the best show ever. Thank you, Dallas. And look at me crying again during this behind the scenes analysis!
Brilliant editing... capturing the nuances in the performance and reaction to words spoken.
The wink reminded me of my Dad, may he rest in peace, that warmth and the feeling of "it's ok, you and I understand". The Chosen has given me a path home (like many, "I have redeemed you, I have called you by name, you are mine" left me shaking, crying, feeling unworthy of all that Jesus is and offers us. Thank you Dallas, lol, I read you father's series when I was Muslim, different path, but I appreciated it at the time as well. God Bless you, brother.
I'm so glad you chose these scenes to give background on. The Shabbat scenes are among my favorites. Another thing I love about this series is that there really are no small parts. Even the "minor" characters of Shula and Barnaby inspire admiration and love. I get such a kick out of Barnaby's "no filter" comments and responses to those around him.
Yes, me too... Barnaby is my favourite 'minor' character in the show, he cracks me up every time!!
Jesus is very humorous and played tricks and jokes on his followers - even today. Good to show HIm as He is.
Anyone who was walked with Jesus for even a little while has probably experienced His beautiful sense of humor! Those moments just make you feel even more loved and even more like family.
Please do the scene where Jesus says "Get used to different"
That is so sweet ❤️
I have a best friend who portrayed our Lord in the 14 Stations of the Cross..for 8 years...I think I had mentioned that one time before, and for two years I was very blessed to be able to sing.. I wanted to be in the cast and tried ...but my back was bothering me so much that I had to just stay to the singing sitting in a chair..lol...
But I have known this person for a very long time who portrayed our Lord, and even to this day we text and our relationship is so spiritual ...and a great blessing from God. When he used to live near to my family, he would just come in through the door as he was like part of our family, and his friendship was just so special because I knew that our Lord was inside him looking at me and especially when I was sharing some of my trials I was going through years ago.... and I'm still very blessed to feel the Presence of Our Lord in him ..and when he had the beard and the hair it was like being in the Presence of the Lord wjo is his Whole life, so this is a very great blessing, and I can identify withsome of the characters as I have felt the emotions that they feel being with this one who loves our Lord with all his heart.. it's one of the reasons I just love your series so much..to this day because we are still calling and texting even though he's a six-hour drive away from here, the Presence of Our Lord is still very, very strong and now we pray together for all kinds of things, and I send him spiritual upliftings as I do for other people online..so I am very grateful to God for giving me such a beautiful person in my life who represents His Son so beautifully..
Thanks for making Jesus so loving and approachable, and so sweet in His character, and I love the sense of humor....
Okay then, God bless you all ... and great success in the future..in a way I can say I know the look that she has...because I had that for many many years when he would come for a surprise visit.. looking so much like in the days for the Passion performance that he would pick me up because he livef so close to me before I moved to where I am now, and he would take me to the Passion play with him.. okay just wanted to share some.. Good grief, this is long enough..lol 🤗🙏🌹👑🕊️👑🙏🌹
I believe this scene brings out the trueJesus we know and would love to know more of. This movie is so human who could not love it? Thank you so much for The Chosen. God bless you always. My prayers for much success in making this movie are with you. The whole world from newborns to centenarians need it and should see it with the heart and not the eyes.
When Andrew says "He danced". The humanity that The Chosen shows Jesus to have is extremely impactful.
This episode affected several viewer differently and positively too. Love to hear the different comments and what they noticed and how it affected them. Love the contribution of humor and humility demonstrated during this scene. Jesus is becoming more human through this movie than in any other movie that has ever come out.
I was one way and now I am completely different...this is exactly how I felt when YHVH opened His Word to me where I understood His truth. 5 years ago, after realizing that we, the church, ignores His feasts and Sabbaths, I hit my knees and asked Him for knowledge and wisdom. He opened the doors so much, I was overwhelmed. Things I read before I felt as if I was reading for the first time. My whole life changed. When Mary said that phrase I thought to myself, Yes! I was one way and now I am completely different. I understand all aspects of this series and it's because of Yeshua and His sacrifice which tore the barrier (curtain) between us and YHVH. Shalom!
Thank you so much for sharing these behind the scenes vlogs with us. God bless you!
One of my absolute favorite scenes. Imagine Jesus showing up for dinner! Love the lightness and humor and humanity of Jesus. Especially his wink at Barnaby. Right on, Dallas!
This is one of my favorite episodes in the entire Chosen Series. I love how the seat Jesus sat on was supposedly reserved for Elijah. That detail alone opened up a whole universe of meaning. My two other favorite episodes were "Thunder" and "I Saw You" from Season 2. Thank you Dallas and the entire team for "The Chosen". It has renewed my yearning to be a good Christian.
I love this scene. One of the best scenes in season 1.
It's just an Amazing Story of Jesus's life and his disciples. Thank you, all the writers. The Chosen is Awesomely The Best Story of Jesus's life on Earth. Thank You, God for giving us all a chance 🙏 🙌 ❤ 💖 💓 💕 🙏
I loved Matthew Scene it was very heartfelt.❤
Wow Dallas! I really love these behind the scenes videos. Keep ‘em comin’!
I bought the Chosen for a friend who's daughter is a self professed atheist. After they watched it together (which she loved and couldn't wait for next episode each time) she started asking questions. Long story, short... The seeds are planted. This film is changing lives. Thank you and God bless.
Isn't God AMAZING 😇
That's wonderful, Parris! Thank you for sharing!
Dallas Jenkins the chosen app says 60 days left. what happens after 60 days?
That is great news Parris! it gives us such confidence in sharing the good news to even those we think will not respond.
Praise Jesus Christ!!✝️✝️✝️✝️
