In shmuel I see a young boy, desparate for his father’s(nicodemus his teacher-who somewhat resentfully chastises him and God-whom he has only come to know thru obedience to rules a d regs)approval, attention and praise…following the rules he was taught were the path to rightousness so passionately …sharma actually brings an element of vulnerability to this character that is necessary…and I found myself praying for the salvation of all the shmuels in the world even praying that the writers would turn the heart of the character of shmuel, who is desperate for acceptance. Redemption is for all of us….even people like shmuel and judas…who do many wrong things for right reasons.
What a lovely man. Shaan is a beautiful spiritual person. It took 20 years for him to reach this point just as it did with others like Jonathan. So happy for his much deserved success. And yes, I can't imagine anyone else in the roles they all play. They are all brilliant performers.

Watching the chosen has changed my life. I am now watching it for the 3rd time and it just makes me love Jesus more and more. I also like how the show made the apostles come alive for me and now I feel I know them personally. I was born again back in 1967, but was raised in the catholic faith. I knew somehow there was more, and I asked God to show me, and he did by a door knocker who invited me to his church where I heard the gospel and was born again. The chosen show has made me feel even closer to Jesus than ever before.
I think you will enjoy the next interview I post with the founder of Angel Studios. It's an amazing story of how Disney tried to sue them out of existence while they were producing The Chosen.
I am never annoyed by Shmuel. I see him as someone who really loves God, but has yet to figure out what the best way is to go about expressing that love. I also think that when it comes to Jesus, Shmuel honestly doesn’t know what to think and/or what to make of Him. At first, he is convinced that Jesus is a false prophet (and wants to stop Him), but then, because he really is a sincere man, he begins to see Jesus in a whole new light. And he really, honestly doesn’t know what he is supposed to do next, but, as a Pharisee who is in a position of power and authority, he is going to have to do SOMETHING. I can only say this: I do NOT envy Shmuel. But, what an amazing actor Shaan Sharma is. His portrayal of the complicated Shmuel really takes my breath away 😳
Have always loved Jesus as long as I can remember. And I understand much more at 60+ than I did at 10- . It is so important to become humble and to respect His his sacred things. The Chosen persuades more to believe so we know perfecly that it is good. More people will read the scriptures now because of The Chosen.

And we still have apostles today for .. Ephesians 4:10-11 KJV 10. He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) 11. And [he gave some,] [apostles;] and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
I donated lots to The Chosen but I have to wait for all 8 episodes to be shown in the theatres of Satan before I get to see even episode 1 of season 4. That is NOT right!
Dallas is more upset than you. He’s trying his best to rectify a situation that’s not of his making. I understand how you feel. Please pray it can be resolved. ❤
It's good to see visionaries awakening the public to Christ's love for all.
Shmuel is such a difficult yet gradually endearing character. I think he represents more of us that we like to admit.
