Watching this in 2020! Adam seems like such an earnest and genuine guy when it comes to the creative process and how much he wants KDM to be something really special. You can tell he really enjoys talking about it and I think that’s so awesome. Making the choice to drop the $400 easier and easier! Haha
Great interview. Thanks for asking some balance-related questions. I’m glad the over reliance on the antelope is coming to an end. I’m also happy that DBK as a whole is something both Adam and the community recognize is the pinnacle of KDM design when it comes to quarry monsters. Really hope CoD can get the more lackluster expansions up to DBK level.

@Quackalope what make the antalope so broken? I tried to find out online but couldn't find anything. Great interview by the way!
It’s mostly that late game the resources you get from harvesting the antelope is not balanced by the risk it takes - the Phoenix for instance is a dangerous fight and one you might skip over if you are trying to min max the game (or even get to the end) because the antelope is less risky and worth more when you harvest him.
Kinda sucks that as a new comer you cant buy the old expansions and hop onto the Kickstarter -_-
I think they should really consider doing some of the big campaigns as self contained core box type experiences, complete with a full rulebook for those campaigns. It might be a lot easier for them to sell to customers that are interested in those campaigns specifically but not the base KDM core game experience if they don't have to spend $400 usd before they can play the thing they want to play.
With the small box items like the giga lion we are going to get more one shot options - however I think the core game will always be required at the moment - they had talked about moving away from it and scraped that idea pretty quickly.
He needs to do a couple of things. One would be to make more of the minis available in plastic. Another would be to have more of htem available in a larger scale, like 54mm or even a few available in 75mm and I don't mean the monsters.

It was a good interview but as a point of constructive criticism: you seemed so eager to talk about certain things that you kept either interrupting adam or trying to guess what he was going to say next (finish his sentences).
It’s a balance :) - at the beginning I let him go off on a bit of a run that ended on the TSA - and at other times I did cut him off before some good information was shared! I think you are correct and the more of these I do - the better they will be! Thank you for watching and giving feedback!

Wish there was a PC game, updates are cheaper, you dont have to assemble minis, set up every deck for every instance, and playing alone would hold my attention, not to mention possibly getting more creative at a cheaper value for both customer and developer.
Nah - get this core :) - the extra stuff is all expansions at the moment. You need the core to play them.

KDM was popular on 2019.. Now with things are different as Poots is keeping lying to everyone that he is working on something to be deliver. Let's see if on the next years his company survive based on lies and crappy updates
