This was a FANTASTIC video! We bought a new house that had one of these locks and no information. You video helped us set our own programming code, erase all previous codes, and set new ones. Thank you!!
I just subscribed and liked this video , thank you so much for making this! Moved in and didn't have the owners manual for this model. I did not think I was going to find a video for this model . 🤞🥴🖤

Hey brother great video. I have a BE 369 lock (not a be365). I remember being able to lock the door by just pressing the schlage button and then turning the handle to engage the bolt. Sometime later the setting was changed to the code having to be put in to prevent a lock out. I now want to go back to the original setting (pressing the button and turning the handle, no code required) and I'm simply unable to. When the lock is reset to factory settings, it now requires a code in order to be locked. Have tried to find a manual online, but there's nothing on the be369 model. Your help or any input will be greatly appreciated.
Hi Kilo this has been a great video but I finally gotten around to see your Etsy shop. Looking at some of the bump keys, and you are aware that the Weiser WR3 bump key is the same as a WR5 just has a different head since WR3 is triangular and WR5 is squared almost. Prices are debatable but they are what you set.
Yeah, I went with just the WR5 as many asked for that one as they find it more comfortable to use. All of the keys in the sets have been what everyone asked for thus far lol The pricing took me a while to figure out, I had them for a low price, but I noticed Etsy has a few fees and the demand for the sets got a little higher than I expected lol The price also accounts for a signature to be added to the package so that it isn't accidentally delivered to the wrong home/box/porch etc.. I realized after making several sets one day and putting them all together, Etsy took a decent fee off of them lol The shop does offer free shipping on orders of $35.00 or more tho! The whole shop is designed as a second option to contribute to the channel, most of the sales have come from viewers who couldn't donate to the PayPal link, but wanted a way to contribute. So, the pricing might be more or less than other sites who sell them. I know there are a lot of sites now selling bump keys, I don't know all their prices. I don't make the keys to pay the bills lol, just to put toward making more content and continue the channel more consistently right now as I work a lot. I have them priced as kind of a $10, $20, $40 option to contribute. But, I had to factor in my time, Etsy fees, shipping costs and the signatures. In the end they all come out to $2.50 a key after all the overhead.
@@BelmontClan I don't want to be a supplier like that haha Etsy was simple enough to start quickly without me having to spend too much time on it. eBay and Amazon are for people who want to make a living off of this type of thing. I just made it for my viewers as a way to fund the channel while I work. If I was making picks and other tools I would go that route, but I just do this for my subscribers. It's just my response to many asking for a way to donate, it's my way of giving them something back, as well as a second option for those who don't or can't use PayPal.
@@LockandKilo hmmm seems pretty reasonable I guess it beats saying if you wish to donate send your cash or money orders to this post office box. What did you think of my 2 new videos?
@@BelmontClan Yeah, I didn't plan for any type of donations when I started the channel. It was just a frequently asked question and being my bump key video at the time was extremely popular, I figured I'd somehow put those up for the same donation amounts I get lol I will have to check them out! I see like 23 channels I follow have blue dots next to them, I still have to get to them all! I recently saw Panda Frog's new video and now that song is stuck in my head haha
When I press the Schilage button it unlocks without pressing the code. I want to switch that to locking the door. Did the last homeowner install it wrong possibly?
Just moved in... I do have the manual and factory codes --- but obviously the programming code and factory-set user codes have been changed since they do not work as yours do in the video. How to reset the lock to use it?
Wondering if you can keep the programming code that came in the box, and then add 2 more 4 digit codes of our own while also keeping the two default codes.
Two screws on the inside knob plate. One at the top and another at the bottom. Take that off and locate the yellow decal inside. You will find the programming code there.
A variety of reasons such as changing it to a number that is easier to remember, your property manager quits, roommate/spouse leaves etc.. Also, since the codes are all written on the inside of the face plate of the lock, it is recommended for security reasons to change these codes.
I watched so many videos, and yours was the only one that helped me with my lock. Thank you!

Where do i get the programming code? I’ve never change my code eversince I bought the lock…
Two screws on the inside knob plate. One at the top and another at the bottom. Take that off and locate the yellow decal inside. You will find the programming code there.
In a shorter way...How do I deactivate a safeguard code on a BE369? Did factory reset and nothing.. it's still on safeguard code mode.
why would you want to change the programming code?
A variety of reasons such as changing it to a number that is easier to remember, your property manager quits, roommate/spouse leaves etc..

Some of us need to know how to remove the face plate in the first place
Exactly
