    I had my share of struggles with this one, but found a connection and that really helped me finish this page. Hope you are all safe! Enjoy!

    This is one of my absolute favourite's of yours Cathy (although they are all my favourite really!) So much movement and fab colour choice, don't ever doubt yourself! Eleanor x

    Lovely work. Thank you so much for explaining the elements and principle of art as you go along. Otherwise, I get so lost and confused.

    Hi Cathy. I enjoyed watching this video. It's good that you are beginning to include information regarding the elements and principles of art. There is such a beautiful lightness and airiness about this painting. It was definitely well worth the struggle. Take care and keep safe. Colin. :)

      Thanks Colin. Switching up my colors is totaly enough to make me feel resistance. Guess we can't hang out in our comfort zone forever. ;)

    Also are u constantly blending with a dry brush? Do u gesso ur page before painting?

    • @CathyMevik
      @CathyMevik  4 роки тому +4

      Yes, I gesso my pages. This book is sketchbook quality (130 gsm) and wouldn't hold the paint if I didn't. 🎨 I blend with dry and wet brushes. It all depends on the effect I want. Hope this helps. ;)

    When u start to paint Wht do u have in mind? Do u have a colour palette set before u start?

    • @CathyMevik
      @CathyMevik  4 роки тому +2

      I always have my colors planned beforehand, but that is just about it. I don't have anything in mind before I start. My work is intuitive and spontaneous.
