You may not have agreed with all of his policies and decisions, but here was a man who deeply respected the dignity of the office to which he was elected. President Trump could learn a few things from him.
President Trump did learn a lot from him and has referenced that fact multiple times. Trump realizes the the weight of media, which Reagan (who came from TV, Radio and media) warned of. Trump understands that the only way to beat the left these days is an all out war with the media machine they hijacked years ago. Trump understands that the media, late night, sitcoms, SNL and now (government agencies) will conspire and lie and manipulate in order to prevent constitutionalists and conservatives from taking office. It is as obvious and in your face as it gets. Trump understands that in this environment a steam roller is more effective than the soft talk of the last 30 years of RINOS that allowed this mess to happen in the first place. Just like Reagan understood how to use FDR's approach with the Soviets. And, it worked.
What Reagan says about Reynolds being DECENT and FAIR is key to the current state of affairs in America. Frank Reynolds had his strong opinions, but he was still decent and fair in his reporting as Reagan stated. There is nothing decent or fair in the media today. NOTHING.
Today's media could learn a lot from this.
