Far from underrated to me, one of my all time favourite songs of the 80s. Seeing all the Sydney locations in this clip takes me back to a time when this city was fun, gritty and an adventure!
It might be known in Australia but I agree, to the rest of the world this song is underrated for sure. I’m not even sure they played it on mtv in the states.

From here in Canada it is heartbreaking to see what we've missed....the early Divinyls...fresh, raw and extraordinarily innovative with a proudly unambiguous Austrailian identity and an unabashed lyrical frankness with beautiful (and somewhat frightening) Chrissy boldly punching away at the barriers of convention.

Chrissy Amphlett spat beer at me while the Divinyls played the front bar of the Cottesloe Beach Hotel WA (early 90's ????). Didn't wash for a month! What a gig!
I saw the Divinyls in Fern Tree Gully (Vic) in the early eighties and Christina shrank more than a few testicles. The whole gig turned into a party and the cops were called to break it up at about 1am. She could really sing and I miss those days. Feel sorry for young people today.
Chrissy remains an invaluable national treasure. A unique and passionate performer who will doubtless continue to inspire. She always seemed so much more REAL than many of her contemporaries and the emotional truth in her performances elevated her far above the rest.

Man, I love that little thing the bass does every now and then, like at 1:29, 3:05... It elevates this already-great chord progression to a whole 'nother level. (And yet, they don't _overuse_ it. Just enough to keep you guessing!)
