I Touch Myself , como siempre genial Chrissie Amphlett y tambien Mark McEntee.
Chrissy had the most unique voice and stage presence, nobody else ever came close, R.I.P
thanks to you tube this is the first time I got to know Chrissy & the band
Chrissy was def great. But Joan Jett and Lita Ford are also great. And Grace Slick! Mamma Mia!

Cherry Bomb rip off!
She moved like a stripper. A very sexy stripper.
Chrissy was definitely one of the all time great Oz rock music singers. She had a very individual style and sound. A class act from top to bottom and incredibly missed.
Chrissy is a sweet mate of mine . I share cancer blood as a bloke. Good will for all. Alex
Go Chrissy in memory. A
RIP Chrissy Amphlett... I worked for Event Management as concert security in 1991 and when this band played a gig at the Roxy in West Hollywood, I was on perimeter security in the parking lot. All I can say, the whole band was really nice to us. Made sure we had waters and also got the 12 of us working six pizzas!
E P Ramos vale
Tears man
Vegans should stop eating DICKS!!!!
E P Ramos thanks so much for sharing... I so miss my band days 💝🎶💝⭐️✨
I don't think I ever met an Aussie I didn't like. I'm sure they're out there, but I have yet to encounter them! :) This story doesn't surprise me about Chrissy and the band.
Great memories of the summer of 1991. RIP Chrissie, thanks for the gift of this song to us Americans in Southern California at the time
All of ‘91 was off the chain.
Every time I see Chrissy, I shed tears. I didn't know Chrissy, but we met and spoke for a little bit backstage at the 1991 MTV music award show at the Universal Amphitheater. My band was recently dropped from our label and I told her, jokingly, that our release from the label was her band's fault...It was a joke, but also partially true. Divinyls were pushing boundaries and doing things that were unheard of in the '90s so as a result, we were dropped for being too vanilla and not taking enough risks. Still, I was very happy to meet her. I have met many great and legendary musicians, and I never went crazy or nuts over celebrity. However, Chrissy was one of the few celebrities that made me feel like a gushy teenager! She was a lovely person and her presence was like a giant shadow looming everyone and everything! Chrissy Amphlett was simply a force of nature! I am not religious, nor do I believe in god, but part of me hopes that the life we're currently in, is just one part, of many other parts...Parts that will allow us to see the people we love once we're done here!
Rumblefish was a great band__nothing vanilla about your music.
@@mickey34jb Thank you for the kind words, friend.
Excelente historia, un abrazo enorme y gracias por compartirlo @rumblefish99
Hermoso
I was lucky enough to see the Divinyls live in a small pub called the Picadilly Hotel Kings Cross Sydney in the early 80s.They started playing there on a Wednesday night, and as they became more popular, they progressed to Thursdays and then eventually Friday nights. If we got to the pub early enough we would head straight for a table at the foot of the stage where we would base ourselves waiting for the band. Back then you could buy a roast meal and a beer for about $10 and listen to one of the best bands Australia had produced at the time. After 18 months or so we turned up one Friday night and took our regular position the table but the band never showed. They had out grown that small pub and move on to bigger and better things. Great times and great memories.
Another popular club was in Bondi Junction at Selenas where Aussie bands started out playing live.
Rest in peace, Chrissy. Others have tried but no one came close to performing this song as you did.
You got a really raw deal. Hopefully you're smiling down from heaven knowing your legacy lives on and your sisters have picked up your tourch and this song has now become the anthem for breast cancer awareness.
+DaFuq Tori Amos Does the best version , but no one can touch Chrissy
Man. I was just listening to other versions thinking the same thing. No one should be allowed to even try .. If ever a song fit someone like a glove, this is it.
rick2112rkrk She Had Sisters ?
Give Lime Cordiales version of this song from Triple Js like a version a listen different style but sounds good you'll enjoy it
So sad ms and breast cancer
God she's beautiful.....RIP Sweetheart. The world isn't the same without you.
Chrissie was awesome. She lived life on her terms, authentically and uncompromisingly.
a beautiful rock godess.much respect.Chrissie Amphlett.
I love how her voice became more beautiful as she got older. Such a sad loss. Gone too soon.
I saw the Dyvinyls in 1986. Amazing stage show from Chrissy. She's one performer that makes me reminisce for days gone by. So glad I had the opportunity to see her in full swing, though.
"when i'm lost I want you to find me..." This could be the best pop song ever written. RIP Chrissy.
Chrissy was hot! Had the privilege of seeing them live in Australia and let me tell you she was much raunchier on stage...great band with some great songs. RIP Chrissy Amphlett.
Deserved more. One of the most underrated songs ever. Excellent voice. RIP.
Saw her perform in Paris, France decades ago. RIP Chrissy, thank you for the awesome memories 🥃
Sadly left us far too young. RIP Chrissy Amphlett.
Not sad for the guys that got her now. Behave yourself and you might get to see her again.
great song GREAT SINGER and a very good band!
I was lucky enough to see Divinyls many times in venues all over Australia. They were not only a proper rock band, but Chrissy had such an aura about her, very sexual, a bit scary, but also vulnerable. She could hold a mainly male audience of pissed , aggressive Aussie rock punters in the palm of her hand and control them like a lion tamer. One of a kind , greatly missed. RIP Chrissy
BEST GODAMN REPLY EVERRRRRR!
Well said.
@@jeffkirk9529 Paul, I saw them once i was 20 feet away from her, what a woman - mesmerizing! They could have done anything INXS did
Best live band I ever saw. Phenomenal.
I bet she did. She had quite a talent. Voice was amazing. God bless you RIP Chrissy.
As far as I'm concerned...Crissy was one of the coolest people to have ever graced this planet! Her...as when as the skillful musicians behind her. She was a GREAT artist and performer! I remember the " Arsenio Hall Show" also and I think his introduction of "The Divinyls" was excellent as well!
Love and Light to Them and to You ALL!
=D
She is very missed! 😪
They were just called "DIVINYLS " that's the way he introduced them .
First time I saw these guys was at the "Roxy" at the valley in Brisbane 1988.
Was totally unprepared for the shear power that was unleashed for the next two hours, what a singer and what a band, my ears are still ringing.
Sadly Chrissy is gone...2013
Breast Cancer/MS
RIP Chrissy.
Rock legend and absolutely one of the spunkyest shelas ever.
Strewth, Peter, you're sooo Australian, mate.
Saw them a few months after this and they were unbelievable. Best concert I've seen. Imagine 2 hours of all their songs, played to this level of excellence.
What beauty, charisma and huge ability honed by years of hard work. →Dear God, I sincerely hope you're taking good care of this angel. We miss her here.
This is one of the BEST female vocal performances EVER !!! And the band are GREAT straight ahead rockers to the core. Excellent performance on all points. Superb !!!
Live early versions are what you should watch of this song and others to get a true understanding of how good she was.
The guy singing high harmony is really good.
what is his name ?
@@devanmoran Idk - It looks like he's playing bass, but when I look up photos of the band, I don't see him, or maybe I'm not recognizing him. I want to know who he is too!
Wish I knew who he is.
I was thinking exactly the same. Nailed it every time. Maybe he was a hired gun.
Who ever he is he is on point
Chrissy was a force of nature. I got hip to the Divinyls back when Boys In Town was a minor hit. Just want to add my kudos to the bass player who’s locked down that dreamy bass line while adding the spot-on falsetto high harmony throughout. You’re a rock, Sir!
She was born to sing this one!! 30 years ago today this happened!!
La encontré no me cansaré de verla y escucharla me encanta
Christina Joy Amphlett....Amazing woman in every way and gone way, way to soon..One of the Best Video's ever.. We all recognize when we see people that have it..Can't explain it, we all want it .....and Chrissy had it! RIP Sweetheart!
Pretty tame performance. Saw them live many times when they toured Oz - she was wild and seemingly uninhibited. Formed a great team with guitarist Mark McEntee. Lotsa good songs in their catalogue.
Miss you so much Chrissy
No matter who tries to cover this song they can never ever ever get it the way she does it that's the magic of this song it's her
RIP Chrissy know we are still enjoying your music
Terribly underrated in the States. I adored her. 🙏🏼♥️🕊
I had the biggest crush on her in middle school. Such a beautiful person and amazing singer. Rest in heavenly peace.
Shes no longer with us. I touch myself for her memory.
She left ur planet with her stamp on it...not many people can say that.
@G F She died in 2013 of breast cancer and multiple sclerosis aged 53. A badass singer.
Me too...😪💔
That was in poor tate.
did she do coke heroine?
Dios les bendiga y les proteja siempre a todo el mundo

I saw these guys close up, back stage and personal back then. A show they did in Chicago with a friends band opening for them.
A truly amazing group of people.
Chrissy was an amazing front. Had the room in the palm of her hand from the moment she stepped on the stage.
She looks very similar to a red headed Bridgette Bardot. She's so hot!
Yes!
No she don’t...
Lips and legs ..
Arsienal was a kool guy he always had great people on his show rock bands wrestler s all kinds of good stuff enjoy these people while. You can becuse we die and then we miss them
Chrissie Amphlett was just a great Rock n Roller I loved all their music!!
So lucky to have spent time with Chrissy and Mark. Super vivid people who I will never forget.
Chrissie was magic. This is a great clip with the band playing live.
There is so much to love about this...
→That high note, like a sigh, when she sings the word "about" in the chorus...heaven.
→There are two awesome Les Paul guitars present, each representing one of the 2 iconic Gibson pickup types- P90s in the ebony beauty, and PAFs in the sunburst.

I still remember buying long box CD's back in the early 90's at my local music store. RIP Chrissie.
She was so beautiful and a hell of a performer. I still love this entire album.
Sometimes when u hear a tune for the 1st time you know its gold and will outlive the band. Absolute gem!
You will be forever in our hearts Chrissy Amphlett. RIP
Saw her live show. Incredible performance by Chrissie. RIP Chrissie. You will always be a star to us Divinyl fans
One sexy woman sadly missed by so many RIP Chrissie May you sing in heaven and rock with all the angels
A unique singer, great performer and gorgeous woman. Much missed.
Just so fucking awesome, miss this girl so much,a true Aussie legend
Dvinyls_ I was here Friday June, 18th, 2021 listening once again. RIP Chrissie Amphlett.
amazing voice
What a woman. What a song. RIP
I wish she said, "Yes I really do" during the ending chorus like on the record.
Wow...great performance
She was fantastic! The bass player is an extraordinary musician also. A great band.
Giving new meaning to "Hard Rock".
The way she grips that microphone is no accident.
They were great! Iconic in their time.... she was truly amazing and helped me "love myself"
This woman just oozes sexuality!! Miss Amphlett, this song, and the accompanying music video, definitely helped me through the first stages of my awkward adolescence...if y'all catch my drift! lol :D I will forever be grateful, too. Catchy tune, sexy lyrics, and a gorgeous lead vocalist...what more can you ask for?! :)
I was so in love with her back when this came out
This song sounds AWESOME live!!!!!!!!!!!!
God she was wonderful.
An Australian Rock'n'Roll Goddess. She set the standard that has not been matched since. Her influence casts a long shadow to this day. RIP.
I’m listening to this still in 2023 because I’m as much mesmerized by singer now as I was in 1991 great song!
Gorgeous!!! Bravo!!💞🌺💞
Beautiful.
Thank you Australia for making me even more of a 16 year old horn dog in 91. The band was tight live.
Chrissy Amphlett R.I.P. the sexiest woman ever to front a band.
God she's beautiful.....RIP Sweetheart. The world isn't the same without you.
Chrissy you rock! RIP beautiful xx
Fantastic sound and performance, and shes so on key
She has a very unique voice. Great band and song. Thanks for posting this.
Awesome!
Chrissie you were the Queen of rock and a spunk as well, we in Oz will always love you R.I.P........
Definitely one of the most sexiest voices of that era 1980s baby so sad that she's gone rest in peace
Twenty years ago today and still smokin' HOT!!!
Voice of an angel. Body of a Goddess.
She made me touch myself, many many times.
I admire the team's effort to maintain the style of the original recording. Hard work !!!... ⛏️⚒️🎸🎵🎶🥁📀🎼🎙️...
It's 2021....who's still "Touching Myself" R.I.P CHRISSY😢
What a loss.
RIP Chrissy.
Beautiful and talented ❤😢
2024 and still great!!!
Chrissy Amphlett is Australian rock and roll royalty. Cousin of Patricia Amphlett, aka Little Pattie. Little Pattie was the youngest performer to perform for troops in Vietnam, at only 17.
The one and only Chrissy .. forever loved ... aussie rock wouldn't be the same with out the Divinyls
She was beautiful .
Ah how well I remember the beginnings of mtv. I always liked the chord progressions of this song
She's one of oz rocks gifts to the world - alongside Bon Scott.
Loved it... RIP Chrissy Amphlett
Chrissy, you are forever in our hearts😢😢
The yodeling she would incorporate into her singing , is pretty spectacular too . I saw her play Judy Garland in the musical. “ A boy from Oz “ she was sensational. She also possessed the most eloquent speaking voice ,
She not only sang but assumed a kick arse persona on stage .
This has always been a fun song to me to play guitar to. First heard them in high school MTV. Played the video at first later at night
@Hello Tony how are you doing
I may as well learn this on the guitar, Tony.
We miss our Mistress of Rock and Roll Chrissy Amphlett RIP my dear
Goddamn gorgeous! Always loved you Chrissy...RIP
Fantastic song!
Rest in peace Chrissie you memories live forever RIP
Esta cancion fue una de las mejores en los 90... Que rico es volver escuchar esta voz...
