Not only an excellent craftsman! We tend to forget sometimes how much work goes into making these videos. You put together some of the finest videos with awesome editing skills!
I've watched a few different jig ideas. I like this the best. Well done. The French cleat wall hanger is great and just a good way to store the sander.
If i could 'like' every video a thousand times and subscribe over and over again it wouldn't properly show how much I enjoy your videos and enginuity. Keep it up because it's an absolute inspiration and motivation to improve my own shop.
All I can say is brilliant!!!! I have a Harbor freight belt sander not being used now I can make this and start using it. I just finished adding French cleats to my garage wall, I’m going to save a spot just for the sander. Thank you for the video.
Thank you for sharing this awesome tool-gadget-system for a belt sander. This is exactly what I need to have in my small workshop. Please keep making many more projects which are always inspiring to me.
Once again: INGENIOUS! I adore the French Cleat solution! The idea is simple and obvious if you think of it, but to get such an idea just shows how ingenious you are. Thank you for sharing. Love your channel. Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Such a great idea for anyone who has a small amount of space or money to be able to do any kind of sanding. Well done it goes brilliantly with the French cleat wall.
Amazing build - as always :) My first thought in regards to the vertical/horizontal function would be to have them both accessible with french cleats. Cutting out a section of the vertical cleat and running another one horizintally would allow you to simply 'flip' the setup on the wall. Cheers
Well done and inspiring! About corded tools and the issue you had with cord, I am sharing with you an idea from Marius Hornberger: I have cut my cords at about 20cm from the tool and installed powercon connectors. Now I have a short (2 m) and a long (5m) electrical cords and easily disconnect/reconnect most of my corded tools (such as belt sander, circular saw, jig saw, router, reciprocating saw, pole tree pruner...)
You rock man! Today I’ve created my jig largely based on your idea. I happen to have the same belt sander 😎. I’ve only changed the locking mechanism as I don’t like to have to do the threading thing with my power cord. I had a little toggle clamp lying around, so I put it on a small block next to the handle and let it clamp on the handle. very stable and very easy to setup or remove. Thanks a lot though. People like you inspire me every day!
Nice. Perhaps make the fence curve around at the end, to make use of the curve section of the belt? This way it can be used on internal curves when in the horizontal position. Shouldn't interfere with the use in the vertical position.
Besides your good imagination for successfully building a stand with french cleat for your portable sander, @15.54, electric switch board pops out in the middle of the workbench. A good innovative idea.. I like it.. Good luck. Take care.
nice work. I usually do some shop improvement work between large scale projects, just for the fun of it and to get a feeling of "leveling up". Nothing as elaborate as this though, kudos.
I have this sander and I have built something as a stand before but I am only just thinking about cleats now, I will copy if I need to and modify where I can, if I come up with something new, I shall let you know.
Great work Jean. Compact and efficient design fir a small shop. The likes of Matthias Wandell and John Heiz have serious competition in you! I’ve got the same belt sander. Would you share your plans? I am obviously prepared to pay for them. Keep up the good work!
I just put mine in a 3 inch hobby vice. The sander is held by the handle, and the position can be adjusted to different positions. I don't usually use a platform to work off , but this is an easy improvise. I don't know why manufacturers do not make these jigs. They would be a welcomed accessory.
Very nice jig. You should get a hold of Bosch and show them your jig. I am sure they could manufacture it on a C & C machine, and sell it as an accessory. You can then retire!
I am glad I stumbled upon your videos. You are truly an engineering genius. I am using your ideas to plan an ultimately build my small shop. Thank you.
At the beginning of the video I wondered where all your tools are... Then they all came out of the woodwork! Haha! Excellent work, and great job on that shop!
I would have made the latch swivel 90° from how it now functions. That way you can put the beltsander in the holder and then put the latch over it without having to worry about the cable. Nice work and a very handy extention of the tool.
Brilliant, best jig I have seen so far for this purpose. Especially the French cleet addition, and the ease of getting the sander in and out of the jig. 👍
Your whole setup is amazing. You make me feel like an idiot as I have the same space but can not fit my toys in properly For fellow South Africans I found t nuts and screw inserts at Gelmar
@@mogbaba Builders Warehouse stocks T-nut inserts, but I would shop around for better prices. In fact, anything you find at Builders you can probably find for cheaper elsewhere.
I thought I was already subscribed, but now I am. Out of the bazillion videos on his subject, this one is up there. Nicely done. I like the French cleat idea for saving precious floor/bench space. I am currently building an oscillating spindle sander and found myself needing a vertical belt sander for sanding parts for the build. Ha! So I whipped one up. It's a good thing I love building machines!
You could run French cleats on the long side as well and I would hang horizontal or vertical, although the that would have to be done initially because the top clear and bottom support would need to be notched out to allow for horizontal mounting.
hi, I’m French but I’m a fan of what you do with the wood. I watched all your videos and I love it! If I can give you an idea for a future project in your garage, it’s at your gate, to create a door and a window. it would be cool and it would save you from always having to open up. continue like that, it’s very good work! I love it!
Very good video really enjoyed! I loved the transition when you continued wiping away the glue and then just continued talking with nothing on your finger

This has to be the best conversion of a belt sander on you tube. Really cleaver design. Well done
Not only an excellent craftsman! We tend to forget sometimes how much work goes into making these videos. You put together some of the finest videos with awesome editing skills!
You might just have the best workshop I’ve ever seen
You are the king of the French cleat.
Awesome build
Great design well executed. The French cleat wall is very clever. Nice job. I am an old dog and welcome the new tricks.
This dude is unbelievable! Simply brilliant.
love it! and the french cleats!
That moment at 12:12 when the fence can be swapped to be oriented either direction! 😍 Great video - best one I’ve seen on UA-cam so far!
I've watched a few different jig ideas. I like this the best. Well done.

damn i love the idea of things being 'stored' properly but still accessible to use right then and there! im so happy this channel exists :)
Amazing! Exactly what i was looking for, thanks.
more complicated than I need, but very impressive, and functional. thanks for sharing.
that's a genius idea! well done.

Very nice jig you made.
Best solution for belt sander I've ever seen. In the name of John Heisz, you are genious!
👍👍 Very creative
Now I know why I bought a belt sander ☺️
Very well done .!.
your designs are genius, i just started watching your content and im inspired to do this project .
That's effin awesome. Nice job.
Such a great idea for anyone who has a small amount of space or money to be able to do any kind of sanding.
Well done it goes brilliantly with the French cleat wall.
Now I know what to do with my old belt sander and my French cleat wall. Thanks again for your ideas let😀
Very good idea, also have smaller shop that has used larger cumbersome tools. Am downsizing now with your ideaz thankyou
I like the jig. I already built one from Jax Designs. I like the way it hangs on your French cleat wall.
Amazing build - as always :)

I'm going to try and copy every detail, but I plan to add a dust port.
You do outstanding work.
the hidden mittersaw is wonderful idea! Congratulations!
Well done and inspiring!

Very well done, very useful in the upright position.
Great job, now a very versatile tool, well done!

This is a really great idea I would love to learn how to make this it would really help me doing some things. Thank you so much

What a nifty, practical jig. Your skills are awesome…..
Hanging the whole setup on the wall is a great idea. Thanks for sharing this excellent project, all the best
This was a great and ingenious design
Superb multifunction design. Thoroughly impressive, such innovation. Very inspiring...
Hi,
Again, a work of art, beautiful done.
Very versatile and your vertical placement is genius.
Keep it safe,
Willy from Belgium.
😷😷😷
You sir are a genius! Well done !
Wow! Very cool as I am currently using my handheld belt sander in a vice and wishing I had a fence. This is exactly what I was hoping to do myself.
Man you are a genius you always come up with these ideas and your craftsmanship is no neat
Wish I had a engineering way of thinking, your born with it... Love this idea.. baie goeie werk

Super idea! Nice work.
Awesome Jean. Al wat mens nodig het is net n paar basiese power tools om spasie te bespaar. Met n jigs kan mens seker enige jets doen. Love die videos
Good idea thanks
The ultimate belt sander stand❗️❗️❗️ Great work 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Very nice jig. You should get a hold of Bosch and show them your jig. I am sure they could manufacture it on a C & C machine, and sell it as an accessory. You can then retire!
You my friend are a genius I would love to have this shop set up
I am glad I stumbled upon your videos. You are truly an engineering genius. I am using your ideas to plan an ultimately build my small shop. Thank you.
that's absolutely genius😲...thx for the idea
Great idea I loved the vertical position and use on the french cleat wall this is my next project starting tomorrow
At the beginning of the video I wondered where all your tools are... Then they all came out of the woodwork! Haha! Excellent work, and great job on that shop!
Fantastic design
There are two tapped holes M6 on the right side of this machine. I used them to do something similar. :-) Thanks for the vid.
This thing is awesome. ..so versatile

Wow you are good! Very smart and excellent carpenter!👍❤️
Very impressive indeed. 👍
really clever horizontal and vertical

very inventive and modular ! congrats
That's just brilliant!
Your best until now!
Lekker idea, love your work !!
I gotta say thats a lekker shop you developed Broer. I need to sit down and replan my space.
Awesome job! I really like the french cleat feature.
Genius idea!
The whole thought process behind designing and building this is fantastic. Awesome project and great video
Suggestion. Maybe a french cleat to mount it sideways on the wall instead of having it on the desk.
Nice job very interesting.
This would be a superb addition to any workshop. Brilliant. Great video mate 👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome video, really making good use of a tiny shop.
Awesome jig, well done
Great space saving idea, excellent design. Thanks for sharing. Until next time *Chris*
Great job. Just add a couple of spacer tables to utilize more of the belt. Keep well and stay safe.

The camera work and editing are well done.
I find you have some original ways of creating things.
Keep up the great content.
That is insane. What a spectacular design and execution.
One word.........Superb.
Really great build!
Awesome!! I'm was thinking of a good way to turn my belt sander to benchtop sander and I might go with your idea. Thanks for sharing!!
Really great how you maximise the use of every tool. Brilliant! Love your videos.
this is brilliant, i'm going to have to make a french cleat wall now.
Amazing once again....
Every project so unique.
Obrigado from Portugal
So perfectly done.
Very good video really enjoyed! I loved the transition when you continued wiping away the glue and then just continued talking with nothing on your finger
