Toto presents "With A Little Help From My Friends".
The performance captures one special night on November 21, 2020 when Steve Lukather, Joseph Williams and David Paich appeared with the new line-up of TOTO for a global event originating from Los Angeles, CA. Joining Lukather, Williams and Paich for this next chapter in their indelible history are new band members bassist John Pierce (Huey Lewis and The News), drummer Robert “Sput” Searight (Ghost-Note / Snarky Puppy), and keyboardist / background vocalist Steve Maggiora (Robert Jon & The Wreck). Keyboardist Dominique “Xavier” Taplin (Prince, Ghost-Note) and multi-instrumentalist / vocalist Warren Ham (Ringo Starr) segued over continuing their tenure in the ensemble. This marks the fifteenth incarnation of the TOTO line-up in consideration of band members or sidemen who joined or exited.

It was the record company's fault...they didn't promote them after their 4th album in the US like they should have....heck, they didn't even release some of their songs in the US

Am I the only one who thinks Warren's tambourine didn't work well on this one. Too loud and sometime not blend well withn the rhythm section.
@@kidwaryodproduction Hello to all you people with same ears like me-I`m self percussion player and must say like all of you ,that the music is amazing but the tambourine-parts are most of the time much too lood and mostly in a wrong or not musicaly way!!!!But all the others are perfect-fantastic!!!

Honestly Luke ain't look happy on these clips. I'm wondering how many pleasure and rock n roll is inside this incarnation of Toto. And how much the new album could be forced by the record label. Then "..because we have to" gets new meaning between the lines.
@@justincase6058 I don't think Luke isn't happy because of playing hold the line. In my opinion he isn't happy with the fact that some people "stole" the band from his hands. He can't even make new music as Toto because of legal issues. All they can do is to play their hits live and that's all. Just think how sad is that when you been since the beginning of the band without ever leave the band

@Alan Alessandria I don't think Luke should stop making new music as Toto if he really wants to. Steve Porcaro said in a recent interview that all they have to do to get around this issue is to change the name even ever so slightly. New TOTO for instance will be good.

I saw Toto at the Royal Oak music theater in 1979. It only holds about 300 people and back then the band was about an average of 21 years old. They were grate back then and still are now. God bless the Pacaro brothers, who died way too young.
