I told you years ago during your DQ11 stream that you and Rob have helped keep me grounded during my PTSD attacks/depression, I still feel thankful to you today and although I have bad days, I'm doing better. Been watching 12 years and hope to for many many more

I say "new" because they're old games, but new to me. If it wasn't for your reviews and your enthusiasm talking about them, I would never play the Ys series... Phantasy Star among other!

Your personality is so positive and you are one of the select few gaming channels that really convinced me that I might enjoy content creation as well. I feel like growing up I only played games for enjoyment and happiness and then as I started reading/watching reviews growing up the hobby started to seem so negative in the way we view things. Your channel was such a breathe of fresh air and once quarantine hit I definitely started feeling the downs of being stuck indoors. I tried channeling my free time and energy into making videos and like you said it's damn hard and you really gotta put those hours in for B-roll and editing. The one upside is I really enjoy the process. I think my biggest fear is being in front of the camera, and I'm hoping that one day I can be as comfortable in front of the camera in my videos as you are in yours. A true legend, and a legitimate representative of the time before gaming and anime were mainstream. Shamefully, I used to hide my love for videogames and comic books in high school. And the coolest friends I knew, I kept at an arms distance because I didn't want to be labeled. But I always knew that people like Johnny were the real "cool guys" who didn't give an F if you thought they were cool.

No, thank you Johnny. Every Sunday I make a cup of tea, sit down and it's like having a chat with an old friend. Yours and Rob's passion is infectious and that's what I love most about the show. And if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have discovered the cult classic that is Big Trouble in Little China. That film alone would be great alone, not to mention the Ys series as well, and a host of anime I missed out on. Looking forward to the next decade. All the best from an old-timer. Haha.
I couldn't agree more with you, 100% hit the nail on the head. Johnny, Rob, and Kim are like the friends I wish I had. My friends growing up were all into video games when we were kids, but as we got older, I'm the only one that kept it as a hobbie, and am still as passionate about it today as I was back then. They all went off video games, and I don't hang around with any of them any more.

The first video I remember watching on this channel was the first Dreamcast retrospective video you did, which I think Rob was included in. That brings back a lot of memories, and also makes me think about how much my life has changed from back when I saw that video to now.

It's crazy to think how long it's been. I remember the early days when retro content creators on UA-cam were few and far between, and there was a heavy "community" focus among each of the viewers and the creators. Now as you mentioned, there are too many to name. It was a very different time back then.

It's awesome to see how far the show has come. Christmas doesn't feel whole unless I watch you and Rob open each other gifts. It's just so nice to see how much your relationship has grown. At 42 almost 43 years old Johnny has always reminded me of myself and my friends growing up in the 80's/90's and that's why from day one starting in 2009 I started watching watching him. "Keep Rocking Johnny" as the announcer in SVC 2 says.
