I have always been impressed with your ability to rejuvenate struggling plants and this video does nothing to change my opinion. You are a truly a Plantologist extraordinaire. Another informative video.
Verrucosum was a struggle for me too…I finally have one growing in my cabinet. Same w/ my melano. I imported one, it was beautiful for a long time then just pooped out on me. I was only able to save one node but it’s starting to push out new growth. My queen is still pretty small but I’d really didn’t start doing better until I switched it over to Pon…so hopefully it continues to grow and get bigger.
I really enjoy your videos & have learned a lot of helpful info on plants. Love your kittens!! Vicki, also your voice is very relaxing to hear when I'm winding down.
Thank you for the video on the hardest plants in your collection. I had a hard time with my verrucosum and queen. I'm on my second queen and I hope I can figure out how to grow her. She is very difficult.
I’ve tried to grow primulina’s (related to the African violets which I can grow 🤷🏻♀️) I get mealie bugs no matter what!!! Philo Brandi ugh!!! I tried the calathea white fusion (?) never again! Same with the fiddle leaf fig! 🙄 Peace lily I’m on number 3 I just forget about that plant I do have a piece of the #2 plant in one of my terrariums Tradescantia 😅 I forget about them too & I know how easy they are to propagate but keeping them alive not me!!!
I love your channel 😍. I'm starting my planting collection. But I have a lot of trouble in the cold. Please help me. How did you manage to keep the leaves so beautiful, without turning yellow and curling. Thank you I'm in Japan
Thank you so much! That's exciting! Welcome to the plant community :) Plants have a tough time in the cold, they really do prefer that tropical environment. I still get yellowing and curling it happens!
My variegated Hindu rope is a disaster. I think I have one leaf still alive. I have no idea what's wrong with it and why it hates me. I wanted it so badly
Oh no! I've had this one on my wishlist for the longest time - variegated or ordinary, i just love this plant. But should I avoid it, do you think?. What exactly are you battling with? Mealy bugs?

I struggle with some plants that are considered super easy so I’m very cautious about getting expensive anthuriums
It can be hard to care for some of them and I agree sometimes an easy plant to someone can be really hard for someone else :)

You’re welcome! Happy to share the plants that haven’t done the best for me. Hoping the second queen will do better for you! 🥰🙏🏼
Me too.
Thanks for sharing Melissa, we learned a lot from your videos and experiences.
You are so welcome!
Happy holidays Melisa! stay warm
Thank you so much! Happy holidays to you too! 🥰
Those are all notoriously difficult plants :) There are lots of tough philodendrons too, mainly just the velvets tend to be harder :)
Your plants are beautiful! Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅🎄
Thank you! Happy holidays 🎄

How often do you water your verrecosum? I just got one and I’m SO nervous about rotting the roots!
Probably once or even twice a week right now. I have it in my cabinet and things dry very quickly in there it stays pretty warm with the grow lights 😊

@@marciajohnson1825 no pests that I've seen. The leaves just keep dying 🤷♀️ I can't figure out why
@@leannschaffnit7376 oh no! I hope you do find out. I'd be very interested to hear what you find out when you do.
