I got a collection of over 20 dwarf and cutting citrus trees in my appartment and they do very well. Most of them got fruits on them. My kumquats fruits are turning orange and ill be fully ripe in about 2-3 weeks
i am so happy you are talking about better help. I can honestly say better help has saved my life. I have been with my counselor for 3 years now and she has gotten me through some of the toughest times in my life. I highly suggest them. Don't be afraid to get to know multiple therapists until you find the right one!
I think the number one thing with fiddly fig is it's got to have the right amount of light. If you don't have that from the beginning, nothing is going to go right. Also, they don't like to be moved around. Mine has doubled in size in about a year's time and is now about 7 ft tall. The leaves are about a foot and a half long and about a foot wide! I think it's just been in the absolute best place for light and I don't really pay that much attention to it except to water and fertilize it every once in a while.
There have been plants that I have bought repeatedly and killed repeatedly. Some of these I agree with. I’ve had a lemon tree, the thing got spider mites right before it was gonna give me a lemon. The flower dropped off and eventually the leaves all fell. I even started one from seed, that one died. It was before I knew about overwatering😅 Now currently the only trees I’m a beast at are my avocado trees. I’m obsessed with starting them. They were the first plant I grew from seed, when I was in middle school. 🌲🌴🌳
I have a pink lemon tree an it lived outside last summer. I thought I lost it by Christmas but it started to grow leaves, then it bloomed. My massive beautiful baby is back outside now, but I think I'll buy it a grow light for the winter.
It's a thing! I found it at home Depot. the leaves have really pretty variegation and the lemons have stripes and are supposed to be pink inside like a grapefruit
I've had a lemon tree for 10 years. I also have key lime trees I grew from seeds, and an orange tree. We haven't had any problems growing them except for the key limes. I have to cover them really well and run a heater under their cover. We live in Florida so that may be the reason way we don't have any problems with the citrus. 😊
for me most Pepperomias, Begonias and Ferns are the most difficult ones. also some Bonsais and some Ficus plants with tiny leaves. in my experience it's easy to mess things up with Orchids but it's not easy to kill them. they're usually savable(I mean Phalenopsis Orchids) I'm ok with Fiddle leaf fig and Calatheas. African violets used to be difficult for me but I made self watering pots for them and now they're thriving.I was always very good with string of hearts but my String of Pearl was struggling for a long time..it's doing ok since I started to water it more often. I was shocked to see air plants in this list. I have two,I have soaked them just twice in a year.I just occasionaly spray water on them and in my experience they just refuse to die!even in low light and even if I don't mist them for a month

Hi Jaclynn, Great video, I know we all can struggle with certain plants. I have 3 Orchids that U have had for over three years and they all bloom each year and so far I have not had any problems with them, I have tried some ferns and those can be a struggle, I have a bird nest fern and so far it's okay. I think I mentioned I have the Ficus and t's finally coming back. I have 9 African Violets and one is variegated, I bottom water some and the others are potted up. I water them more in the summer than the winter I don't keep them over moist but I also don't let them get too dried out, mine are in a North facing window and they like light but not directly on them, most of mine have purple flowers. I have a string of pearls and so far it's okay and in a East facing window. I struggle with Peperomias and it just is what it is. Most of my Calatheas are okay and some were on the struggle bus and came back and some just died, and that is also something else that happens. I like bromiliads but only as they are blooming, I can't keeps those alive. I also want to try some airplants again after David gave me some tips on how to take care of them. Thanks for a great video with lots of great content, being plant parents we all have different struggles with our plants, and it is always a learning experience. I hope that you have a great rest of your week, stay safe and happy, sending love and many hugs, bye for now. 🤣🥰🤗😹👏🪴🌻

My calatheas are a crispy mess if I don't keep them right next to my humidifier, but I'm in Arizona so it's very very very dry here. I don't find them hard to keep alive as much as I find them hard to keep looking good and free of spider mites.
I'm sure they don't appreciate the dry climate, we stay pretty mildly humid up here so I don't worry about mine. I do run the humidifier in the winter though! I'm sure they don't mind that!

I do agree with Maidenhair hair fern, it is my most difficult. I just bought my upteenth one. I will probably never stop trying with this plant! I have other ferns: Crocodile fern, Blue Star fern, Tiger fern, Staghorn ferns, Kangaroo Paw fern (it is huge and I have had it for 4+ years), and Bird's Nest ferns. Some ferns grow great for me, but some others like the Table ferns do not. I have tried some of them, but now it is a hard pass on the String of... for me. I ❤ air plants and have a couple that I have had for years and they are pretty big now. I am trying for the last time, a white Poka Dot plant. It is a baby, but so far it is thriving. My mom when I was growing up grew a false orange tree. It reminded me of the lemon tree. I have three Staghorn ferns and all are doing very well, none are mounted. Tried an Olive tree once and promptly killed it. Only calathea I have had good luck with is the Peacock one, haven't killed mine yet and it still looks good. Never had the desire to have a Fiddle Leaf fig and don't do well with ficus.
Hi Jaclynn, I am from CT, as well 😸
Can you pls tell me the name of the trailing plant with the roundish leaves on the shelf behind you? It is next to the other plant in the dark blue pot.
It is so cute!
TX!
Hoya mathilde 😊
@@jaclynns.jungle TX!! 💚🧡
The African violets like morning light, so a window facing east will make them thrive.
🌲🌳🌲🌳🌲
We only face West, haha, and I've had her in the window for months!! She's thriving! ☺️
I believe when doing a countdown you would start with #10 as least difficult and work your way to #1 as most difficult. As in 'OK folks our #1 most difficult plant is, drumroll, ...... Ta-dah 😄
I don't think these were in any particular order. They're all equally annoying 🤷🏻♀️
I grew a lemon, lime and pomegranate blood orange trees in the house when I lived in Ohio. I even got a lemon from that tree
That's kind of amazing!!!
@@jaclynns.jungle I still have all of them here in Georgia. They’re now planted outside
Omg it felt weird when you whispered for a little bit. I felt pain emotionally for some reason.
Omg, haha, weird!
You're lucky to house anything other than watermelons..my string of pearls got demolished by birds/doves and my pickles dried out due to underwatering..turtles died due to over watering lmao vicious cycle..i only have watermelons 🍉 😅 🙃
I love my watermelons! Haha, always forget that one!
I got my Kentiana today! Now its super easy to tell the difference between my wayetii & the kenti.
& I LOVEE alocasia too !!
Yes!! It can be hard to tell Hoya apart when you don't have them side by side!
I have killed an African violet, many string of pearls, ferns, air plants. I got a calathea Dottie? Because I love pink plants and somehow I’ve kept that alive but have killed many on this list 😂
Calathea get so much hate and they're really not that difficult haha!
I have 2 fiddles they are easy going for me. The string of pearl died so fast :-(
White Fusion. (trying again with this one) Croton. Fittonia. My arch enemies.
That's the hardest one to keep happy from what I've heard 🤷🏻♀️
Dendrobium orchids are easier to grow.
Good to know! Thanks!
🍋🌳 🌱 🫒🌳 I’m in the process of murdering my second fiddle leaf fig…. Oops
This will be my third 😑
@@jaclynns.jungle funny thing is, I really don’t even like them.
🌳
Thank you for the vid. Question, what are your thoughts on having multiple of the same plants? 💚🪴
I think you should do what makes you happy!! I have a video on that from a while back actually!! 🥰
@@jaclynns.jungle you do? Let me keep watching… More if your vids. Thanks for taking the time to respond. I’ll go get my plant baby today(and it was on sale) 🪴💚

I can’t keep babies tears alive🤬🤬
Sounds like something I'd kill, is it a succulent? Haha
The only way I can keep babies tears alive is in a terrarium, but then they go nuts climbing up the side with aerial roots everywhere. Can't win with this one, but it's so pretty at the store

My mom when I was growing up grew a false orange tree. It reminded me of the lemon tree. But it wasn’t a real orange tree you couldn’t eat the oranges but it grew little mini oranges and it grew inside really good….. wish I could find one. That was in the 80s… so very long time ago. I kill all the orchids, ferns, and I have killed all the African Violets. 🌲🌴🌳🪴
Oh that sounds cute! I'll let you know if I ever see one ☺️
Orchids have always been one that I’ve killed so many times. 🪴💜🖤 so far my calatheas have been doing great 😊
Orchids have to be in the right mix, from my experience!!
Do great (so far) with calathea...an marantas, which are soooo fast growing! But ferns, an ivy, do NOT like me so far. I really want one cuz they are pretty. So that will prob be the one im glutton for punishment on. Like u said, Get it till u "get it" if really want. 🪴🪴
Experience is the best way to learn! ☺
