I Just got the 1.6.0 update in the UK & car positioning has been added to the app along with a few nice features in the car like 3 finger swipe for temp & fan controls even in Android Auto screen. Looking forward to seeing Sean do a video explaining all the new features good or bad on a side note my ac works pretty good, nice cold air when set to low, it just takes a few minutes to get there but does maintain it for duration of journey.
In the version of the application for Malta there is another menu item - “Car position”. It’s very convenient when you wake up in the morning and don’t remember where you left your car.😂
I think your HVAC is faulty. Mine works OK, as i said it does have the same issue reported for MGs that you have to put the temp at 24 to get the car warm whereas in all my previous cars 21 was perfect maybe that's down to the thermostat/thermistor whichever it uses, possibly the positioning in the car.

Don't know if you are aware but a new installation upgrade 1.6 is available today.
