Ha love the Wesker dialogue.
Lmao it had me cracking up so much that I always try to include it whenever I see in opportunity too
I just love his quote "You bitch!" against Rebecca after getting eaten by a Lurker, if you lured him to one. Hilarious!
that's going to be one obscenely fast and powerful frog once it digests and assimilates Wesker.
You bit(&, after saving rebecas photo
Ah shit
Wesker screaming for help while being eaten by a giant frog is funny af
Never had trouble with the Mandibulas in the original RE4… but boy oh boy did I lose my head a few times in RE4 remake
Remake makes it harder to kill it if you don't have flash grenade since it needs to open its mouth for you to deliver critical hit otherwise its bulletsponge. Plus it can stick up to ceilling and worst to the worst its so huge you cannot see shit behind it especially when you fight bunch of enemies. Definitely was much easier on OG
I see what you did there 😏
The Wesker part alone is worth the like. Had me cracking up
Lol dead
The Lurkers killed me when i was doing a no save run of Resident Evil 0 to get the platinum trophy,i hate these frogs but i got the platinum trophy after replaying everything from the beggining.
Oh my god they are so fucking evil
@@NerdSpaceGamesheh heh resident evil 🥴
Congrats 👏 on getting your platinum trophy 🏆.
@@itsblitz4437 Thanks
I thought you meant lurkers from Jake and Daxter
The thing about the reaper that annoyed me was the weird black smoke that distorts your laser and makes it hard to see where you aim.
Rebecca at the end, had me in sobs laughing. Just stood there like 'i got your number marked buddy. This is for not involving me in Resident Evil 5 Capcom!!! I was at the Arklay Mansion too!!!' 😂😂😂
Lmao dead
@@NerdSpaceGames i had allot more typed out before i went with just this. Like i got really carried away with it but just settled on the RE5 reference instead to not over stuff it, but she was also gunning for Chris over RE:6 in my fictional Rebecca rant. It has been a slow night for me. 🤣🤣🤣
Resident evil 5 Lickers have an instant kill too.. they jump on you and you can’t get them off without a teammate nearby. If you’re not saved you’ll get insta killed by a stab
Not too bad though if you simply hit the qte before they jump on you as by that point in the game your probably anticipating qtes alot more often
@@alexanderglex4600same thing can be said for re4r instakill enemies if you have a knife, which in my experience I usually have one handy.
@@toastyfrog9630 You could say that but licker jump attack doesn't use any resources unlike re4r enemies which require using a knife something you might not have all the time if you ain't doing too well on management or dodging grabs
@@alexanderglex4600 RE5 is a little harder for ppl not good with timing bc on Professional, QTE timings in gameplay are a bit stricker than RE4R professional qtes
@@cherry9787 Right I forget that professional makes qtes harder
I hated those reapers with a genuine passion. Everytime I played RE5 with my friend, they'd be the ones to deal with those while I dealt with crowd management.
Lol I remember the day I first got insta killed by one on my second playthrough with my sister I was so perplexed at the fact they had an instakill that my hatred for them skyrocketed, one of them even grabbed me through a railing
I realized a few years ago that the Lurkers are only triggered when the water is lowered. Also, so as not to risk the continuity with Chris' scenario in OG1, I leave them entirely to Billy.
For me the worst will always be the Lurkers. Not because they're ugly or kill you with one hit, but because the AI NEVER attacks and you can't even change characters and help yourself. The circumstances are so incredibly annoying, especially when they randomly pop up.
I've been kill on the bridge towards the end once or twice, where you get Billy back once and then completely randomly at the part with forklift. Never saw one of these guys there before and then BAM! No save run dead.
Useful information, the reapers from RE 5 have a non-lethal attack, and not just a lethal one. But the chance of a non-lethal attack is very small, so they often still use the lethal option.
It's dependent on how far they are from you
They use non lethal one if you shoot of their limbs and they have only 1 or 2 arms they will only slash you until they regrow the lost ones.
I have recently been killed twice by Hunters in Resident Evil Remastered. I once learned that the Hunters have an instant-kill attack in the RE1 remake where they jump at you and swipe their claws at your neck which can kill you even at full health.
They can do that in the original also
The hunters have a tell: Whenever they're getting ready for the instakill attack they Slightly crouch back for a moment or two before leaping up into the air. The AIs tend to do this Whenever you're at a certain level of health, usually between yellow to orange and definitely at red.
@@zomboids2100 I always thought the tell was that a Hunter lets out a certain screech. Then they would jump and attempt to swipe at your neck with its claws.
@@officertom6751
That's something to keep an open ear for, but there's instances where they don't, as I've unfortunately learned about the hard way.
@@zomboids2100 I definitely know when they about to do it in revelation. They act like they powering up. You better have a shotgun or grenade launcher ready or it's game over. In the original RE ain't no tell sign. I had full health an the hunter just swipe Jill head off with no effort at all. Needless to say I pissed cause I doing a no save run.
I haven't seen an amazing RE list like this in a long time. Dude, major respects for putting The Glasps in second place. I can't put in words how much anxiety and terror these things put me through when I play Rev2. The screen getting fuzzy, the sound of flapping wings the threat of an invisible enemy that instant kills you is insane. Revelations 2 is so underrated that hurts.
As bad as the Reapers can be, there are some pretty nice strats to deal with them. (Besides the Rocket Launcher)
1. You can remove their scythe-like arms by shooting them off. The Reaper needs all four of its arms to perform the instant death attack, otherwise it's stuck with a slashing attack. Finish it off before the arms grow back.
2. Grenade Launchers loaded with either Acid or Electric rounds. Hitting the Reaper with either one of these will cause it to be stunned. It will expose its weak point immediately, allowing you to effectively take it out before it can get anywhere near you. Very useful for the Bulkhead stretch where you have to fight two of them at once.
Thanks for the tip 😊
Also flash bangs instant kill them no ??
@alexvaldez4114 A flash grenade won't instantly kill a Reaper, but it can make a Reaper expose its weak point, making taking it down easier.
@@alexvaldez4114 No, it's not a plaga parasite
@@derekcwly ok your right i confused it with the zombie from re5 at the end on the ship that turn into some snapping mouth zombie instant kill you
You didn't ask for a like or subscribe until the video was finished. Thanks for listening you get a thumbs up for that
I changed things up to see how it goes. Did it on my last video too I think. I'll included an animation of a subscribe at the start still, but waited until the end to verbally request it if you enjoyed the content. Got a lot more people frustrated with it being brought up at the start of the video than I expected and ultimately tried to find a compromise that I think works for all of us (at least I hope lol)
Wesker's Lurker instant kill dialogue is priceless!
I remember dreading the shark in Outbreak when I was a kid, felt like there was no avoiding that dang shark.
Only beat outbreak with Cindy, those sharks were terrifying
Ive been waiting on this video for a while, glad this finally came up as a topic, great video as usual 😁. Cant wait to see what the next one will be
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hell yeah! Another Resident Evil video! Makes my Monday a little better :D
Every Monday expect some RE goodies!
There’s only 1 non-boss (at least not always a boss) not on this list that I remember; The Dhurlga moster from Rev 2. I love the design and the music that plays during it’s encounters, and the fact that it’s slow but gets much faster if you reveal it’s weak spot more.
I love the idea for this list. Bravo!
Yay, thank you!
Another great video 📹 😊🎉love your content keep it up.
Thank you! Will do!
I run when I see you post about resident evil your my favorite UA-camr!
Awww thank you so much! Definitely motivates me to keep doing this when I hear stuff like this.
You can prevent the Reapers from instant-killing you by shooting its arms off...until it regenerates.
I feel like reaper at number 2 and lurker at number 1 but absolutely great list.
Great Video😊I have died a dozen times to a randomly placed Glasp.
On a side note, Could you do a Top 10 Unique zombie enemies in the RE franchise?🥺 Like Zombie Brad, Forest, Doctor Zombie, Kitchen Zombie
Hmmm like this one I’ll mark it on my lists
Worth noting, a chainsaw enemy appears in RE6 as well. You're forgiven for forgetting that one though. ✌️
Ooof I totally did. Still trying to remember that encounter actually lol
@@NerdSpaceGames you only saw it in the Jake / Sherry & Ada campaigns I believe.
It's a one chapter boss fight in the middle of the game. Which is basically the equivalent of saying they made the guy popular for being a recurring miniboss that was incredibly op for the first fight as a surprise but became a proof of growing power later on into a one off threat far weaker than you'd want a boss fight to be at that point.
six is forgotten
Yeah the boss shows up in both Jake's campaign and in Ada's with him basically being an instakill in Ada's campaign since there is no one to revive you if you go down, in Jake's campaign it is much easier and even one of the sections swaps out his insta kill attack for a struggle qte when he hits you, the real reason the fights with him are hard are because of the gun j'avo that spawn but otherwise not to hard, especially on any difficultly below no hope
Hunter Beta: You call that a punch!? I'll show you a PUNCH
Dead lol
Being a new Resident Evil player in late 2022 is nice, but learning about these enemies are even better making me wanna play the original 2-6
Hunter Betas definitely took me by surprise
I never understood giving the Ivy enemy an instant kill attack. It just feels so unearned for such a meh enemy.
I just finally beat RE0 and as soon as I saw the title of this video I had to see if the lurkers made the list! And rightfully so!
I played a long stretch without saving and I back tracked through a seemingly cleared area and I got insta-killed by one of these frogs, I was pretty damn far away too.. also as I watched myself being dragged into it's mouth I assumed I would break free or just lose a large chunk of health.. but nope no fighting it once you're hooked. I was so mad 😅
He forgot to mention that #4 Chainsaw enemies also appeared in Resident Evil 6, and yes they did have an instant kill move too. They weren't as scary because their "chainsaw" was actually a mutated extension of their arm, bone and ligaments, making it appear less realistic. Plus, there were so many ways to dodge enemies in RE6.
For me its the hunters in Resident Evil outbreak games!
yeh i know, they warn you when they are ganna do the insta kill attack! but still! they can suprise you with it! get hit and its restarting that level!
Almost included them tbh but decided against it due to having 3 variations of hunters on the list already lmao
@@NerdSpaceGames and my second spot goes to the Lurkers from RE0!
Not only wil the AI just stand there WATCHING! but they are also your worse nightmare for doing a no save run! You be HOPING none of them pops up! specially not when u get the final keycard!
the Ivy and the Hunter Gamma freaked the heck out of me during my first runs of RE2R and RE3R.
11:46 are we gonna ignore the "RULES OF NATURE" moment?
The chainsaw enemies in RE4R look quite scary!
I remember pausing the game for quite a while on my first playthough when one jumpscared me.
In my own RE5 experience, I find the lightning hawk to be the best choice when dealing with the reapers; it's quick which is very good for dealing with them and plus, it's strong so they won't take many shots before dying
In Re1 remake and OG Re3, the hunter lunge swipe is an instant kill. The likelihood of them using it goes up the less health you have, but while it's rare, hunters do occasionally use the lunge even at fine health. The move itself is an instant kill if it lands regardless of how much health you have, I was hit by one before at full health and died anyway.
Glasps also appear in later Raid Mode levels too where you better have the right tools and beware or your doing it over again
"I can't hit this dang crotch weak point!" *click* "You know what, screw it." *THUNK*
there are some kind of hunter frog in original RE3 with instant kill…
you meet two with carlos
and two on the wooden bridge in the park(randomly)
I strongly agree with this list especially with Forest being the zombie we can’t kill because if we do, then it’s game over. Every time I saw Forest in the game running after me, I yelled “I love you but stay the Fuck away from me!!! And “GET AWAY!!!”
5:15, a Just Eat advert shows up 😬😅
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. An amphibian version of the Hunter, nicknamed Frogger/Blocker due to its frog-like
MA-124 Hunter Gamma
Please next the bosses with instant kill
The reapers are so stressful to take out I had plenty of deaths because of those buggers😂
Same lol
pos. 3 and 2 are scary, but the 1 is funny 😂
Spot on.
The mandibulas were easy to deal with in the origanal but in the remake they look harder to kill
I think I went through my first 2 playthroughs of 0 without ever seeing a Lurker
16:55 I wish I was that lurker xD
Honestly I like the Ivy designs from the original RE2. They looked more creepy.
I lost count on how many times the Hunter Beta killed me as Carlos in Resident Evil 3 Remake on any difficulty.
I agree that the Lurker is an awful enemy as it killed me instantly a few times too. Just one time a Lurker also appeared on the small bridge, just when you exit the elevator and enter the Water Treatment Plant, where Rebecca found Billy holding on to a rock in the water.
for the first one, I didn't even know it had an instant kill attack. I never got passed Scagdead (the vary first boss in that game). Huge difficulty spike where I wasted an entire day off trying it until I full on gave up
Lurkers are also in RE Outbreak they are annoying since at times they can just one shot you
Glasps were so annoying for me that they were the one reason I've abandoned RE Revelations 2, years ago. To this day, I still haven't gone back to it and don't know if I ever will.
I remember I stopped Rebecca from shooting and the lurker grabbed me as Billy and she just followed me til I got ate.
When I was young, my dad let me play RE Revelations and that boss called MayDay Boss or Officer Boss was traumatizing at the time for sure I think I was 6 or 8
Nice lol. Didn’t include him on this list since he’s a boss but stay tuned for him on a different list in the future
There's 3 more after the first encounter, 2 with Chris and the 3rd one when you are sending the uav out.
I've played & beaten RE '02 multiple times I've never unlocked bomb zombie how do I do it
The actual correct way to deal with a Lurker is let it hit you because their weak. If you fight back they’ll instakill you as well. I watched a speed runner of 0 talk about it
Super Tyrant instant finisher is missing.
Actually in the Original RE4 there's an AI mechanic basically if you play on Professional you can trick enemy AI to make them wiff the air, basically you just run towards the enemy and once you see them going to attack you walk back and you won't get hit + if you damage the chainsaw enemy while they are attacking you actually stagger them
OG RE4 was built with popsicle sticks and elmer's glue
I wouldn't have included the Globster on this list. They are SO EASY to avoid, even in water. There's also only two of them, and they have a predetermined pattern, which is the same in all difficulties. You can also sit outside the room to see what the pattern is before going in and staying behind it till you reach your objective. It's a bit nerve-racking, yes, but it's not that dangerous.
Wall Blisters (RE Rev 1) are very easy to kill, but they are FAR more dangerous than Globsters. Mainly because they can surprise you. They are always on the ceiling, and cannot be killed until they come down. Sometimes they even STAY on the ceiling and never come down, which adds to the annoying part -- You don't know if and when they will drop down. They die in very few shots, but there's a few locations where these things appear while you fighting other enemies. If you don't see them in the roof or they drop down as you are occupied or grabbed by another enemy, well... good luck. Their only attack is an instant kill grab that you cannot free yourself from. They are even worse in Raid Mode, where they are faster and more resilient (especially the boss variants).
I'm surprised the Alligators (RE7) were not mentioned (note that I'm talking specifically about the alligators in RE7 and not those in RE5). In a game mode where ammo is basically non-existent and you have to go through multiple water sections going at snail's pace, where the water is filled with multiple one-shot animals that will kill you if you get too close, sometimes with surprise attacks, and sometimes chasing after you from multiple directions... Yeah, I believe they deserve a spot on this list. By far, one of the most dangerous enemies in all of Resident Evil.
Prisoners of Insanity (RE5 Lost in Nightmares DLC) also have a rather dangerous instant death attack. If they grab you, you need your partner to save you. If you are by yourself, like in the underground section, where you have no weapons, then you are screwed. Both you and your partner must split up to set traps for these enemies. If either one gets grabbed or even just hit by the anchor, that's game over in most occations.
I know this one is not on the main story of the game, but Super Dr. Salvador should be mentioned as well. It only appears on Mercenary mode of RE4, but this guy is way stronger than any chainsaw enemy in the game. It cannot be brought to the floor with melee attacks. Most attacks won't even stagger him. And he has A LOT of HP. Characters like Krauser won't have much of a problem, but characters like Leon and Hunk will. It is also very fast moving and hard to hit, which adds to the difficulty. Definitely one of the most dangerous.
Other than that, good list. I haven't played RE Rev 2 yet, and I'm already not looking forward to the Glasps.
Honestly didn’t know the frog could appear by the forklift. I’ve gone through there so many times and it’s never appeared there. I’ve only had it appear 3 times where you find billy. First time it ruined my no death run because it spawned right after I rescued billy and I had no weapons at the time. But it’s always spawned for me on the bridge when crossing to the other side of the treatment plant after defeating the prototyrant for the second time. The bridge before getting to the room with the box to transport Rebecca almost never spawns but it’s the second most likely for it to spawn for me.
In revelations 1 I’ve found the weird BOW that’s on the wall to be very frustrating in raid mode and in the story because it was always catching me off guard or I had no ammo when I’d encounter it. Also I didn’t know which ones would spawn in most areas (the weird egg looking things)
11:46 RULES OF NATURE!!
I always really liked the hunter gammas, because they kinda look like my dog. Now that I think about it, a less serious list about the cutest monsters in resident evil could be a great idea
Wtf kind of dog do you have?!
@@NerdSpaceGames he is a bit of a biter
I don't know if it's because I play on Easy or what, but in all the times I played Resident Evil 0 back in the GameCube days, I don't think I ever saw a Lurker. I'd heard abut the game having giant man-eating frogs, but I never believed it because I never encountered one. It wasn't until UA-cam was a thing that I saw proof of their existence.
I played on easy and still got killed by one cause I tried running away from it and its tongue reached me lol. I was pissed cause I hadnt saved in a while
In the original Resident Evil 4 during the fight against the Armaduras I always let the Plaga emerge from all three Armaduras and then use a Flash Grenade to kill them all at once. I always make sure I have two Flash Grenades ready for this fight.
They definitely made it easier in remake since they only got plaga A instead of mandibulas, plus ashley can help you with lantern to stun them and easily pop they plagas by melee them.
I never had a problem with reapers, if you use the electric stick you can stun them until they die
After learning about the ODZ, it’s just as hilarious as it would be annoying. Imagine if he was in the other RE games, like 3. Where instead of Nemesis chasing you, it’s just this guy with a face that says “go ahead, shoot me. See what happens”
#5 was so funny! boom.
You should do re 4 and re 5 chainsaw different as because re 5 chainsaw are worse
Yeah true when they get up after being knocked out they go crazy fast, except they don't instakill anymore just insta down
Wouldn't they all be equally dangerous and all at #1? Dead is dead 😂😂😂
Some are slower or more tricky to defend against so some are slower deaths haha
😂 aye...now you are thinking on top-tier level 😂😂😂
Some instant deaths are more stylish and satisfying than others ^^
No. You must be young..or new to horror games.
@@kylereno5383 31 year old, 16+ year veteran of the franchise, cope harder!
I never had problems with the ivy but I downright hated the reapers
Totally fair that’s why I had reapers so much higher on the list
The giant baby monster from the house of donna beneviento
I've hated the mutated baby from village
No weapons, only out maneuver
I've gotten stuck on environments a few times
Considered this a boss stay tuned for that I’m a different list
I never knew they globsters had a ohko
You know in re7 chainsaw jack boss fight he has a one shot garenteed kill when he's running at you with his chainsaw scissors open if you dont move he'll cutt your arms and head off
Was playing 5 with my friend. and when I told another friend. he goes. "Ohhh Once I spot the reapers. I'm gone. Nope." We stopped playing just before them and haven't gone back since(Mainly because I don't often activate PSN+ unless I know I'm going to use it.)
You forgot the giant zombie 🐊 in RE2
You step the wrong way you're 🐊 food
The sharks from RE 1 aren’t going to get a mention?
11:56 if Capcom remakes RESIDENT EVIL 5 this enemy should return along with the "new type of hunter" from the RESIDENT EVIL 5 beta (4.5) concepts , i would like that we had a mix of majinnis with zombies though out the game as we progress, because from what i gather from the 5 first trailer ,the one where Chris is wearing a blue shirt, zombies were going to be a regular enemy in the game since the beginning whether they were T-virus infected zombies or not it is unknown,i also wish Barry would make a return since he was planned to appear in the game through in some stage of the gams either in the beginning , middle or end ,Capcom could use Albert Wesker from RESIDENT EVIL 4 remake in both a future remake of the first game,CODE VERONICA and 5
It is possible to never encounter a single Lurker if you play on normal mode this happened to me in the gamecube version, i don't know if this was fixed in the HD remaster on normal mode since I only play on Hard after my first run from way waaaaaaay back.
I was shocked during my second play through to see this frog, I gave it a lovely grenade round n it hopped off.
I tend to see at least one lurker on hard mode on the gamecube version but in the HD remaster I consistently encounter 3 lurkers, the only one I have to hit is the forklift one, the others I just bolt for the door or ladder. I did once have a unlucky 4th encounter at the higher part of the water dam instead of the lower part when you just climbed down the ladder to go to the other ladder.
The biggest issue is that they're mostly random and can catch newcomers if they don't act fast enough.
other than that they're a joke.
Btw the modern hunter gammas are pretty bad, i have more issues with their trampling more than their vore attack since I just rather dash through enemies. on inferno mode you do need to perfect the dodge cus running past them trampling just isn't going to cut it.
I didnt know hunter betas had an insta kill
Re3 remake's hunter beta is the bane of my existence. I was playing a no save , no death run on hard with only a pistol and was doing so well until I got hit with that instant kill claw attack. F those hunter betas.
I only died once with the Lurker playing as Billy most of the time I ran through the areas with water and never encountered them the Reaper should have been number 1 because they are so damn hard to kill unless you have a Rocket Launcher
Eh it honestly all depends. For example, my first play through (probably because I found myself backtracking a lot that first time) I ran into a total of 4 of them and 3/4 got me each time. Also I was devastated on my no save playthrough when one of them caught me off guard.
A giant frog are you kidding me dude
Lurkers barely pop up on my playthroughs of resident evil 0
WTF, Hunter Beta got an insta-kill attack? Never experienced it myself.
To be honest, I expected to see the iron maiden somewhere in there
How long does the one dangerous zombie follow you?
Think I may have mentioned this in the video (forgive me if I didn't), but he appears in 6 predetermined locations in which all of them are prior to you exiting the mansion for the first time (when you head over to the guardhouse). After returning, there will be no more ODZ. Your only worries when you return now are of course the Hunters lol
@@NerdSpaceGames I gave up. I said yeah this too hard
Can resident evil 6 Chainsaw Enemies kill instand?
Those fucking lurkers cost me my ink is for squid trophy a few times
I hate the glasps in Re Revelations 2, I actually had cried when I was younger because I got scared of them because I couldn’t kill them. I don’t cry anymore, but I still hate the glasps man. They’re so annoying to deal with in Barry’s campaign.
Do best costumes
OG resident evil hunters had major bs jumping claw attack where it was a cheap one kill. Trust me controllers where thrown to that BS one hit kill.
Never got that far in re 0 due to the damn monkeys
