Did someone want BORTAC to take the credit for killing the shooter? Why because Operation Lone Star needed some good publicity? Were taxpayers complaining about the Millions that Operation Lone Star was costing Texas every week? There were SWAT teams already there early on. So why wait for 77 mins? Retired LEOs and veterans are saying this. The state DPS was too involved in the response to the school shooting. So they are not interested in a serious investigation that will make Gov Abbott and his admin look BAD.

This is horrible, this school board should have in public fired him way before now. Police and deputies that I personally know that have been fired from a department for doing WAY less than he did. Why did it take so long. I understand maybe it took just a few days to gather more info etc. but not months. Maybe now the community gets a little relief that he is gone for good! The Media even provided updates and information of a potential threat to our schools, but again no response from parents. Yeah they depended and relied on cops at the last minute but now their doing special appearances. Maybe because money is involved. You know a lawsuit for parents not ensuring their child was safe to attend school. No problem, tax payers will cover it. Arredondo’s lawyer has been stringing the Uvalde school district along for weeks and weeks and weeks, postponing the inevitable.
At the last moment, the lawyer submitted a multiple-page argument to the school board demanding that the school district reinstate Arredondo and give him back pay. The lawyer threatened to a lawsuit against the district if he was terminated.

If the now, former chief, and his lawyer truly believe in his cause, why did they not show up at the meeting in person? Instead of submitting a written document.
