That's just it. They dont think you should have a say in what your children grow up to be. The fact that cop even moved forward next to the woman speaking is also a huge problem. I was a school custodian for years at the district office . As such I would have to set up for school board meetings . Being a custodian I for the most part invisible and a none person to the school board members . I can tell you listening to them while doing my job I can honestly tell you they are some of the most arrogant self centered intolerant individuals out there. I can’t count the times they would have some disparaging remarks about the teachers and students or their parents. Kudos to the school board members that agreed that she should have her say b/ c they had to spot and listen to it the year before. The one who left: don’t want your family shown in public? You might not want to put them on Facebook! A lesson I also learned…

Every time council is addressed and a member is added, they need to be reminded and told what their job is and who is incharge, with tact.

This tyrant literally said “if you are going to sit there and disparage a member of our school board then you can sit down”! Talking about power tripping! These people believe they are beyond reproach! I was and still is a firm believer of homeschooling however I now believe we need to take our schools back! People are still going to have to pay taxes for schools and they should have a say in how that tax money is spent! Take your schools back from these ungodly people!

This parent did a great job!! She kept her cool. The school board member that walked out couldn't stand the fact that she could be made accountable to the people she's supposed to be representing and serving. 3 cheers for this parent!!!
As far as I'm concerned, if a board member walks out during a meeting, she effectively quit her job. Simple as that. DO the children get to walk out when they disagree with what is happening or what the school is saying to them? NO. Do the parents get to throw a temper tantrum and walk away when they don't like what the school is saying? NO. More hierocracy.

My point is there are repercussions for a student just walking out of school. Students are not there of their own volition like school board members are. The school board member is an employee being paid to represent parents in the administration of schools. School board meeting are the interface between the board members and the people they represent. So walking out of a school board meeting is tantamount to flipping off your boss. Walking out of a school board meeting is dereliction of duty and should result in abdication of position.

Have you noticed how empty the room is? So fed up of all the BS, maybe all the parents should take the children out of the school. And asked an officer of the law to remove a reasonable parent, showing how far from the church and reality, these so called school governor cohorts have sunk.
Though she got to finish, please keep in mind a cop was totally going to remove a tax payer from a public meeting by threat of force on nothing but the whim of an authority. No crime or anything.
