Mr Peter , I really love the history you tell us about in your videos!!! Really cool!! As far as turkeys go, I don't think there's one turkey in that place!!! Lol, I hunted it for a few full days last season and not one gobble nor a sight of a turkey!!! Now I'm sure there are turkeys in there but daggum it it sure didn't seem like it.
I have hunted there for a few years harvested 4 racked bucks few hogs. Lots of game lots of doe’s. Great place for a challenge hunt. Thanksgiving week the woods come to life year after year. Great video Peter.
Hello Pete, thank you for keep us updated with helpful information and interesting story's. Questions; what gun you recommend for wild hogs during small game season. Thank you!
I took my wife's Grandson hunting for his first time hunting with a bow in 2002 I set him up in a tree stand walked back to my tree stand got all comfy lol 30 minutes later he hollers hey Paul I got one I ask him one what he said a hog. I climbed out of my stand and met him on the trail walked to his stand and there lay a 180 lb hog his first time hunting ever wish I had a picture of the gin on my face 😂 unfortunately he never went hunting again. I'm going to try to hunt there this archery season this year if I can find someone to go with me lol.
sounds like you laid the groundwork for him, he might come back to it someday and when he does you'll have laid down the foundation he needs. Great story......
If your hunting Jumper Creek, your hunting the heaviest hunted WMA in the area. It has deer and hogs and turkeys, but most reside on the private land that surrounds it, as I stated in the video this game moves on to the WMA from time to time. Make sure you apply for your quota permit every year and save up point to hunt the best areas. Good luck, stay after it, I will turn your way.
When I wanted to hunt Lk. George 4 days, I tent camped at a RV camp ground for 20 per night. Felt a bit odd, but I really enjoyed the surcurty of the place and wash room they had. Just a thought.

If I could find one, I'd like a over under rifle-shot gun. I hunt with a pump shot gun now, some WMA don't allow center fire during small game.
Thank you for the advice!
man, was archery season popular there this year! hopefully general gun is a little less crowded, hope to get out this next week here
yea it always seems that way because of the parking. lots of leg work can pay off though. Thanks for the support, see ya out there...
Can you hunt hogs there year round
Only on private land you can hunt hogs year round. Dates and seasons apply on WMA.

Wish i could pick your brain about this area. Im having a hard time getting my feet wet here in Florida

The issue is the camping, I can only hunt WMA's that have a camp nearby since I'm hours away any WMA.

Hunted it many times. Killed a few hogs and seen some does. No legal buck yet..
Hog are good. Keep after it. Good luck and thanks for your support,
