When that caramel corn hit the breaking point 🫠🫠🫠 the air exploded with goodness. Food and artisan goods is hard to beat! Thanks Bruce 😁

Great video, noticed some awesome skies around the 4-1/2 minute mark as well...So much to take in and so little time as a photographer lol. Ya I agree the X20 (or '20 as I call it, although I do have two Fuji cameras I call that, my X20 and my HS20EXR both of which were wayyyy ahead of their time) is one you can pretty much walk into any situation, street or otherwise, and it can handle it no problem. The lens has a great usable range, nice bright aperture, and the camera handles extremely well. And it even has the "correct" aspect ratio...lol. I do find myself overexposing a lot if I haven't used it in a while, but it's a matter of re-acquainting myself with the cameras "quirks" shall we say and slowing it down....lol. The X20 is a classic street shooter, It's too bad Fuji went big and expensive after that, although that has a place, there really isn't anything out there today that fills the same niche as the x20 (and X10/X30) did.

that’s the exact reason I bought it a few months back. I was watching an episode of Prickly Pear Camera and he came across an X20 in a wholesale used box of cameras. As he ran down the specs and how the body operated I was amazed! The perfect mesh of digital and analog and exactly what I wanted. The price had gone way up and was even with the original retail tag from ten years ago! I was hoping for a couple hundred bucks!!! geez. Since I was trading in old stuff in for the purchase price…I went ahead and bought the “like new” condition. I’m glad I did. I’m thinking Fuji got hung up on the Sony RX100 video specs and abandoned the line. Too bad because as an actual point and shoot for photography? I think it’s amazing even today.

Evening Dan, and wow, what a fantastic video! = it's possibly my favourite one of yours, so far...As you know, I'm a stills photographer and love street, so really like it when you get serious with the photography side of things. I think you captured some really fabulous images here, certainly multiple keepers, imho. Great shots!
Great exposures too!, were you using a mix of spot-metering, and multi-metering?...and I love the B&W render...Did you use a recipe? e.g. Tri-X 400?, or just Acros + red?, perhaps?. Please let me know, it looks really good.
And, a nice walk around the market, which also adds a nice bit of context.
    Nice work, Dan!..😎👍

You are much too kind but I kinda agree lol. I had fun with this one and people were in good spirits all around. I had a great time visiting with some local artists I hadn’t met before and being inspired by their works. Get this 😳 the X20 doesn’t have ACROS. It’s prior so it has the Monochrome +R +Y & +G. The setting I used was Black and White..that’s it, just B&W. I gotta say though…it’s fantastic! I was spot point right down the center and recompose and click. This little bugger has a 28-112mm lens that can focus pretty well (on edges lol). I am not remotely interested in using this camera on manual mode (too fiddly for me) as for in camera settings…which only go to +3 -3 with some at +2 -2 and a limited selection (early Fuji here) anyway, I turned sharpness-1 H/S +1 and noise reduction -1. I don’t take multiples of the same scene very often and I don’t chimp at the lcd after the fact because I took my time taking the photo. I do chimp if it’s an action type shot though to see if I got it lol. This tiny 10 year old camera didn’t draw one single bit of uncomfortableness from anyone I saw or photographed. Perfect camera for the situation and I felt less intimidating too. Really fun way to capture a day!

@@DanFarrar Of course, I'm forgetting this camera is getting on a bit, ironically, somewhat of a senior moment in itself, lol. But it certainly is a nifty little camera and does take nice shots. Thanks for the settings, it's always nice to know how other photographers set things up...and same here, I don't chimp hardly at all, just the odd one to check things are pretty much on course. I knew a photographer a few years back and she'd chimp every single shot, literally. It used to drive me nuts!..but I suffered in silence, lol.
As you say, a great little camera for street photography Dan, and to my eyes, certainly punches above it's weight in regards to image quality.

It’s a tight little camera. Too bad Fuji gave up on the line. The lens is a little gem and the zoom doesn’t include a buzzy -/+ toggle. I works like a real lens and has a sweet leaf shutter (like the X100’s) It’s certainly not a fast street camera. But if you go to manual focus and preset your distance, it’s just as fast as any modern camera lol
