- The 2022 BMW M240i is putting down 382 BHP and 369 lb-ft of torque from the infamous B58 3.0L Turbo inline 6. It’s still classed as the ‘M-Lite’ version of the new BMW 2 Series coupes, and in this review, I'm curious to see if it’s worth the £46,000 starting price, or whether you should hold out and wait for the upcoming BMW M2 instead.

XHP stage 3 did wonders for the shift speed in my F22 M240i, I’d recommend it if you haven’t done that mod.
I have it already but this felt different man

got mine few weeks ago and i can report its rapid and im coming from the new shape merc A45S amg and bmw m4 comp before that! For a light its rapido!! not much feel on steering but thats like most cars these days!

Such a colour, such a beast of a bmw. It’s in a different league. So many new models arrive. We get over excited, then just like mobile phones, a newer model gets designed, launched and hey presto. Our BMWs become dated!! Some of us can’t keep up!

M2 is going to come with a much larger price tag. The performance you get for the dollar with the M240i is unmatched right now at $49k USD. I'd expect you will be closing in on $80k for the xdrive M2.
78000$ is the sale price in the middle east, but it does come fully specced with ever option for that.. Still a bit steep though..

Any idea on brake disc size? If you could fit an 18 or 17" wheel over.
it depends on the spec. If you choose the pack with wider tires and the wheelarch-extenders. (in Germany it's called M-technic package) the front discs will be 374x36 mm in front and 345x24mm rear, which means that your minimum wheelsize will be 18". If you go without the upgraded breaks you'll get 348x36mm front / 345x24mm rear and 17" will be fine. Although I must say this car needs at least 19" for looks :)
These wheels are outside xdrive 1% diameter spec. If you use a wide staggered setup like this 275/245 then the from tire must be taller sidewall. Why?
You can’t beat the real thing though, this car is way to heavy.. but it is the next best thing honestly it is.

Great job on the video. I.m.o the car looks horrible, especially from the rear. I think they should've flipped the rear light upside down and the car would look much better. But if you like the looks and have the money then congratulations, I think it seems to be a great performing car and it's going to be interesting to see the new M2.

It has its uses tbh but in this day and age xdrive and 4wd s the common feature of many new cars..either get with it or keep the outdated versions and mod 😅

What is you need back seats ? and X drive ?
Paid 25k for 987.2 Box, Black edition - PASM, Sport Chrono, PDK, PSE. You get two seats but frunk and trunk. Daily drive mine with Tesco Momentum 99 and at Brands with V Power Petrol. Only mod is DSC V1 controller. Pay Porsche £750 a year for a bumper to bumper extended warranty - mainly cause the PDK is expensive - which means you have to get servicing done at an OPC but they pick up and drop the car off so I can work from home. Practical, capable & affordable. Trust me compared to M, RS & AMG it’s a level of precision above & beyond. Lotus, Alfa 4C & Alpine are competitors but not as practical...
Rear end is ugly. M2 comp rear end is much better looking.
