By far my winner of Eurovision 2024, of course I had to request Bambie and their mesmerizing amalgamation of genres, layers and art forms!🌘⛧🌙🖤 Being Goth for decades and being captivated by witchcraft and paganism for an almost equally long time, there simply can't be a more unfiltered or better representation of my innermost core at Eurovision - as Bambie is standing for everything I love in this coldhearted world and is representing all the values I'm fighting for in daily life. I don't need to explain that we're not talking about a traditional Goth song here, as "Doomsday Blue" is a fusion of countless styles and creating its own genre which Bambie calls Ouija Pop, but the vibe of enchanting gloom and sombre magic is as close to my heart as it gets. The progression of "Doomsday Blue", how this masterpiece delves into these stunning transitions with the chorus with seeming ease, how it implements a plethora of musical elements from a theatrical performance and soul/jazz to darkest metal without ever feeling contradictory or out of place - all that makes "Doomsday Blue" this jewel of dark art showcases Bambie's outstanding skills and why they should not only qualify from semi-final 1 but even WIN Eurovision in my view. And if we look at their show-stopping performance at the Eurovision pre-party in London, which took place yesterday, it becomes even more evident why we're dealing with a truly special artist here!🖤⛧🌙
Ireland already deserve to qualify and to get their best result in decades because they took a risk and dare to send something out of the box, which is absolutely necessary at Eurovision because many of us are sick and tired of all the generic, shallow pop songs we've heard a million times - and this is already a gigantic reason to VOTE for Ireland on May 7th. So, people, if you've ever wanted to see Ireland going for something special and unique after years of nonsensical entries, pick up your phones like crazy!!🇮🇪🌿🦇 But even if we look at the message of "Doomsday Blue" in a more sophisticated way, we will instantly find out why such a profound and multi-layered piece of art deserves all love and support in the world: It is a song about YOUR worth and value being overlooked - in a relationship, at work, as a queer or alternative person, even within your own mind if you tend to question yourself unnecessarily. And exactly THAT is the message all of us who are different have always been yearning for and sticking to every single day, which makes "Doomsday Blue" an anthem of the rebels and outsiders, a hymn we can be insanely proud of! I myself have experienced a flood of rejection and prejudice just for looking different, having different worldviews and opinions, having a different taste in music - but at some point, as time is passing by and we learn and grow, it's possible to draw strength and enlightenment from all this hollow negativity and to realize that real strength is to BE who you are no matter what the rest of the world is saying! We can say the same about the LGBTQ+ community, which needs our support more than ever before as we are living in times that are becoming more regressive gradually. All of this is what makes "Doomsday Blue" a hell of a statement, a current piece of art addressing topics that are engraved deep within the souls of those who are meant to be embraced by it, and an irreplaceable part of this year's Eurovision!🖤🌙🇮🇪🌿
Now I could also rave about the flawless and entrancing imagery of the video and how Bambie and their team managed to make it look so insanely luxurious and expensive even with a small budget, and how this final result of witchcraft being transformed into a cinematic miracle shows their boundless creativity and a free-spirited artistic approach most artists don't even have, but I will let all of you explore the imagery and all the details by yourself, as the interpretation of the visuals gets more interesting each time you watch this evocative movie!🖤🌘🌙⛧
I also donated to the creation of this nocturnal magnum opus - and as so many dark souls out there are selfless and unconditionally passionate when it comes to Bambie and all they are representing, I'm sure we will qualify together! Bambie will slay in Malmö! But still we shall not forget to spread the magic all over the world and to vote like crazy, so let's bathe the world in gloom on May 7th and in the Grand Final!🖤🌘🌙⛧

Ireland has won the Eurovision song contest on 7 occasions. They have won it back to back. 1 contestant, Johnny Logan won the contest twice & also wrote a winning Irish entry. Unfortunately, Ireland hasn't had much luck in qualifying in the last number of years. Fingers crossed for Bambi Thug this year, they are amazing ☘️🇮🇪☘️
