    ► Hair Color:
    This a custom color job, created by a stylist at a salon, using a professional system not available in beauty supply stores and which requires a valid cosmetology license to purchase--no I do not know the name. It cannot be recreated precisely and the shade looks different on me every time she touches it up since she blends it up on the spot and it changes shades every time I wash my hair.
    Bleach was not used. We have been lifting my hair lighter and lighter over time using developer (which is not bleach) since October of 2015. I will not post a video on how to color because I am not a licensed cosmetologist and I will not give directions on how to use chemicals that I do not have a good understanding of. If you'd like help with achieving this color, please consult a LICENSED professional who specializes in natural hair because coloring will alter your hair and can damage depending on your texture and the process.

    I still need y'all help! I applied for the #SephoraSquad this year because they're supposed to be increasing their Black Owned brands and adding more natural hair care!
    I would love if you all could leave a testimonial for me to help me with the selection process! 👉🏾 bit.ly/2Og3KRa 👈🏾
    This could really help take my brand to another level! Your testimonial could be short and sweet like "I love Daye's UA-cam videos" or whatever is on you heart!-- unfortunately I won't be able to see them but feel free to DM me the testimonial on Insta so I can thank you personally or leave the link to your testimonial here in the comments if you don't have Insta!

      Thank u so much for this video. From a year ago since my mom passed I have fell way off my hair care. I have thin strands, kinky hair and medium density. I'm high porosity. I haven't protein treat my hair in over a year now and even so, it was just protein conditioners b4 I never got any real protein. So I'm starting to pick back up and i need to purchase a good deep conditioner. Was wondering is the creme of nature deep treatment gives a good moisture. Asking because I will be using the aphogee two step cause my hair as... let's just say not in the best state

    When you said its not the products its the routine. YAS! I just developed a routine that works for me and my hair and my hair has never felt and looked better. Now that I have a good routine, I can tell if a product works well for my hair. The ROUTINE is the key.😁😁😁

    Hey Daye!
    Hair has grown so much and it was amazing to watch the journey. I found out about that blue myself last year and that darn GREEN made me so mad. I went ginger then my washes made it the color in my profile and I love it. I was waiting to say pre-poo because you put me on to doing that every wash day.

    Length retention is something I’m about to start focusing on! I feel like my hair has stopped growing. I did recently get my color cut. My hair doesn’t like color either. So i have a fresh start. I just don’t have consistency in my wash regimen 🤨 time to focus!

    So I have a question about this. You said you were doing alot of Protein treatments.(meaning the Ahpogee two step treatment not protein deep conditioner) Does this mean you were doing them once a month religiously or does this mean you were doing them a bit more than normal (i.e. Once every two weeks). Love this video I definitely will be using this routine on my color treated hair.

  • @deidreej
    @deidreej 3 роки тому

    That African Pride pre poo is a straight game changer! My LAWD! Are you nervous or were you nervous about coloring your hair again? I haven't colored mine in almost twenty years. Colored made my hair thin and once my hair became damage that was it for color and on to cellophane. I'm picturing you with auburn hair. Can't wait 💐🌹💐🌹

    • @DayeLaSoul
      @DayeLaSoul  3 роки тому

      No, I’m excited! And I’m going to the same woman who colored my hair previously, it only got damaged as bad as it did bc I had to remove that blue out of my hair and didnt want red hair-it was my decision to risk the damage and she let me know the risk of moving to fast (had to sign a waiver and all🤣)... I trust her and I have way more knowledge about my hair and how to maintain.

    • @DayeLaSoul
      @DayeLaSoul  3 роки тому +1

      YAY thanks! How often you need to protein treat has nothing to do with when you cut your hair, it's just about if you hair needs protein or not. I recommend following the directions and adjusting based off if you feel like your hair needs more or less.

    When I used to do my own perm rod set, it did brk my hair everytime I would remove the perm rod it would pull my hair everytime. However, when I started goin to a salon and getting a perm rod set, it never pulled my hair. So, it was ME, not the rods. I wasn't doing it rite and probably didn't have enough moisture to keep the hair smooth.
