    ► Hair Color:
This a custom color job, created by a stylist at a salon, using a professional system not available in beauty supply stores and which requires a valid cosmetology license to purchase--no I do not know the name. It cannot be recreated precisely and the shade looks different on me every time she touches it up since she blends it up on the spot and it changes shades every time I wash my hair.
Bleach was not used until the end of 2019 when we started to remove the blue from my hair. We have been lifting my hair lighter and lighter over time using developer (which is not bleach) since October of 2015. I will not post a video on how to color because I am not a licensed cosmetologist and I will not give directions on how to use chemicals that I do not have a good understanding of. If you'd like help with achieving this color, please consult a LICENSED professional who specializes in natural hair because coloring will alter your hair and can damage depending on your texture and the process.

I’ve never been a fan of co-washing even when it was a thing for everyone because I felt like my scalp wasn’t getting clean. I moisturized my hair everyday with a water, conditioner, & oil mixture & I used gel & edge control almost everyday so I knew that washing my hair with just conditioner wasn’t enough for me.

Didn't know that moisturizing shampoos were gentle cleansers...should have known by the way the Cream of Nature Moisture and shine shampoo worked on my scalp lol. I had to shampoo twice. And do some concoction w apple cider vinegar.
I also never clarify which I probably should rn bc my scalp is getting itchy and it'll probably b a good thing for my hair strands.

Ma’m!!! You have just given me the answers I’ve been needing. Lately, my hair has been acting like it don’t know me and I’ve been so confused as to why😞😩. I’ve had my routine down for years (including the product switch-up when the weather changes) but this dry, itchy, limp lifelessness has had me PERPLEXED. And yes, I have been leaning more towards the weekly co-wash with a shampoo once a month (none of these unfortunately). Everything you mentioned about clarifying was everything I needed to hear. It’s probably just time for a change. I will take all of your notes into consideration to make the necessary changes. Thank you for this! It is greatly appreciated.❤🙏🏾✨

  • @ChocolateQueen225

I get dandruff so I have to clarify weekly sometimes I go two weeks but no longer than that. I would cowash in the beginning of my natural hair journey and my hair would be so itchy and I could literally see the buildup on my scalp. But your right clarifying can make your tangled. But I nowwash twice first with a clarifying shampoo and then I use a moisturizing shampoo to help me lightly finger detangle so it’s not a matted mess getting out the shower. And you put me on to fortify naturals years ago with a video you did about how to moisturize natural hair. It was the first product to actually work and my twist out was so soft and moisturized. And you put me on to the affirm shampoo too. I love using that before I put in my braids.

I always shampoo my hair. I see the appeal of cowashes because some sulfate free shampoos give you that squeaky clean feel, which I love but this mane is saying something else lol

Loving this new series as I add to my running list of products to buy...🤫 Quick question...my daughter, 4, experiences a really dry scalp after about 3-4 days after wash day. Any recommendations? Maybe it’s the shampoo it use or maybe I should oil her scalp each day...? No clue.

I don't use clarifying shampoos because I don't use alot of gels. I wash, deep condition, twistout every week. Is there a need to use a clarifying shampoo based on my hair routine? I use SheaMoisture Manuka Honey & Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Shampoo and Camille Rose Almond butter for twistouts.

@@DayeLaSoul Gotcha! Thank you for responding. I have used them in the past I don't have any available to use as of now. Was curious about if they are good to use. I'm learning a lot from your videos. I struggle with dryness sometimes and learning its using products improperly and what type of shampoos to use.
