► Hair Color:
This a custom color job, created by a stylist at a salon, using a professional system not available in beauty supply stores and which requires a valid cosmetology license to purchase--no I do not know the name. It cannot be recreated precisely and the shade looks different on me every time she touches it up since she blends it up on the spot and it changes shades every time I wash my hair.
Bleach was not used. We have been lifting my hair lighter and lighter over time using developer (which is not bleach) since October of 2015. I will not post a video on how to color because I am not a licensed cosmetologist and I will not give directions on how to use chemicals that I do not have a good understanding of. If you'd like help with achieving this color, please consult a LICENSED professional who specializes in natural hair because coloring will alter your hair and can damage depending on your texture and the process.

Hey again! Still need your help! I applied for the #SephoraSquad this year because they're supposed to be increasing their Black Owned brands and adding more natural hair care!
I would love if you all could leave a testimonial for me to help me with the selection process! 👉🏾 bit.ly/2Og3KRa 👈🏾
We are almost at 1000--we got this!
This could really help take my brand to another level! Your testimonial could be short and sweet like "I love Daye's UA-cam videos" or whatever is on you heart!-- unfortunately I won't be able to see them but feel free to DM me the testimonial on Insta so I can thank you personally or leave the link to your testimonial here in the comments if you don't have Insta!
Been searching for your instagram but can't find it honestly.
“My hair last until I wash it” 😩🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 that’s the one!!!!
🙌🏾🙌🏾🤣
I also think it's important to note that products don't grow our hair, they help to maintain our hair. Good practices and reducing overmanipulation help us to retain length 😊
I definitely needed to see this. I always say my hair won’t grow long like some naturals, but in reality it is. I’m going to concentrate more on length retention.
That lil twerk in the beginning always gets me so hype for every video lol #notificationgang
Yassss! Sets the mood! 😂🙌🏾
Thanks for watching!
Samee 😂👏🏾
FACTS. I say that all the time. I gotta stop n do it too every time, never fail!!!
@@PlushCreativeDzyneLLC period 🤣🤣🤣
"My hair last until I wash it" A WORD. Because what I am going to do is stretch out my next wash day lol
I don’t know who needed to hear this, but I know I did. I’m a natural that hasn’t quite figured it out yet. A lot of what you said rang true for me. I hadn’t realized how many false expectations I had on the products and comparing my hair results to others “like me”. I now understand that I need to implement a realistic regimen for my specific hair needs and be patient. Then, once my hair becomes healthy again, I need to embrace the results as mine and mine alone. My biggest takeaway for my hair type: focus on moisture sealing. Thank you so much.
I’m watching this while I’m tying up my hair for the night. I’m half way done.
Its number 5 for mee😭 im low key trying to embrace my texture. I dont talk down to my hair but at times i feel inferior bcz my 4c curls arent 4a or wavy sigh thanks daye
Exactly. I luv my texture, its very thick, coarse, and wooly, yes...it's wooly and I luv it. But I'm still learning how to manage it because I say very often "I can't do nothing with my hair", and that realistically is talking down on my hair. That one hit home for me. But I immediately start speaking good things into my hair and got so encouraged to embrace it even more. Come to find out, I'm more high porosity than low (a product I was using is for low pory). I believe I have 2 porosities, yes it's a thing. I took time on my hair after watching her, and used more water than products, applied a lil jam to keep my roots more flat, and my curls popped so beautifully. Such an inspiration to me always. I luv Daye👑👸🏾🙌🏾💎💯
Dont feel bad about your hair texture. I have 4a hair but i love 4c hair. I feel like its the best hair texture to rock twist outs and braid outs. Meanwhile my twist outs and braid outs can Easily be over taken by my wash and go and look more a wash and go then anything
@@zacharydrake156 aww thank you. I appreciate that
@@dominiquereece8545 no problem ☺️
Daye, I have been subscribed to you for a minute and I have to say your content never disappoints. Loved this video!!! #Facts.
I love your videos, this one did not disappoint! Your candor, your knowledge, your positivity is always appreciated. Thanks for the great content! Keep it coming.
Don't let the hair typing system define you and your hair. You can have multiple textures on your hair
Always on point and spitting straight facts! My faves were learn your texture and take them products back. I would like to say that your constant reminder to establish a routine has been well received on my end. In the span of just one week, I’ve seen a BIG difference in how soft and manageable my hair is with just sticking to a routine. So thanks for being that voice and all the content you put out 💛
YES love YOUR hair! Game changer for finding your happiness with your hair ❤️
Exactly! Embracing and acceptance--it's all about perspective!
Daye always here to check us and get us in line! Period! 😩🙈😭🙌🏾
Great analogies Daye!
Tons of great info thank you! The taking products back and how hair grows either up and out or out and down... major keys
Yesss!
YES!! I appreciate this content that you preached 🔥🔥❤️😄!!
Loved the video!! Daye Thanks for being Real & sharing these helpful tips/ advice.
My wash day process, Good Lawd; just wash/conditioning/detangling=avg 4hr🤯😥. I use to think something was wrong with me, Thanks for the reality check; I'm not alone.
I never would've thought about taking products back after using...Wow GAME CHANGER!!!🙌🏾 Daye you just put me onto some RealTea Thanks girl!👏🏾
I'm here for this 🙌🙌💕💕
I freakin love your intro so much!🔥🔥🔥Like the video itself is already vauable but your intro is so cute and fun. I love it.
New subbie! You have my hair goal! I love your hair, so pretty!❤️
All Fax!!
1. I keep my receipt 🧾 for all products. if it feels weird on my hair it’s going back to the store!
2. I’m convinced thinking happy thoughts about my hair has helped it flourish more than any specific product.
1 year in and I’m loving the journey 🤎.
I love this. everything you stated I do. I follow so many different people with different hair. My hair is wavy curly coarse texture low porosity high density. i made sure to learn that right away over my curl pattern. also do what works for your hair, you don't need super expensive products for healthy hair just a CONSITENT ROUTINE.
I’m doing something right because everything u mentioned sis, I’ve been doing 💜🤟🏾
Good Morning 🌞 thank you for always thinking of us ! Watching now 🥰
Good Morning beautiful! Hope you enjoyed 🤗
yaaassss honey I'm realizing our hair need more water to hydrate our hair and less product. Hydration and moisture retention is key!!
I love you channel, I feel like my hair is similar to yours and usually the products you like I always get for me and my daughter
I thought I was the only one that took like 3 hours to wash my hair! Natural hair definitely takes patience and persistence and knowing your hair. Your hair will not like every product. What work for you may not work for me and vice versa. I Love this video!
Great advice 💯 learn something new everyday and I’m 6 yrs natural lol something I learned recently is detangling on wet hair is much easier. I used to think that it would make my knots worse but it actually cut the time n breakage I get
Yes ma’am! I RARELY detangle on dry hair!
Talk about it sis! It was #7 for me! Cleanse that hair and scalp thoroughly people! Consistently!!!!!
Thanks for keeping it real. Your videos are great tutorials...Keep up the good work! ;)
Luv these tips! Thank you new subscriber 🥰💕
You are spot on with these! Natural hair takes time! I was such a product junkie in the beginning. I also buy travel sizes when testing new products. I also had to accept what my hair does. My hair will not looked as defined in a wash n go as I would like. I have several different textures. As critical as I am, people always love my hair as is. I shampoo my hair. My styles last longer and my curls look better when I shampoo. The buildup will ruin your hair and scalp. If I am experiencing flaking I add warm water and the product will penetrate the strands better. I have low porosity so some heat helps.
She did that 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Hey Daye!
I feel like number 2 was specifically for me. But now that I know, I’m keeping all my future receipts so I can take them back.
Yasss! 🗣 take it back!
Thank you for this video. I must admit I was frustrated about the texture of my natural hair. It took me some time for me to get over it. As time goes by my hair has grown out some as to where I can work with it. There are days that I still struggle with it. Your hair is gorgeous.
This is the realest video and info ever.
Yass thanks!
#DayelaCrew!!🧡🤸🏾♀️🤸🏾♀️ Love these videos from you. Happy sunday Gorgeous.
Yayyy! Thank you and happy sunday beautiful!
I seen a lady on the tiktok say that you need to be careful about your ends especially when you wear them out. It was something like when they touch your clothes they could break off. Basically "be careful with your ends, tuck them in."
Thanks for the tip in returning products. I had bought a brand that I had heard so much about on YT (buy 4 for $20 at Sally's). I bought over 10 products. Didn't like them and returned them today to Sally's for a refund. I wish I had known about returning them earlier. This video was very informative. Thank you!
Great video!! I also watch videos for different techniques
Thank you!
Beautiful Daye 🥰👏🏽
Thank you 🥰

Good morning boo!
'My hair lasts until I wash it.. as long as it's moisturized. " ...I feel that!!! 😅😂😂 Great video sis!!👌🏾☺❤
Shampooing is an important thing tbh 👏🏾
Go ahead & get the girls in order!! 👏🏾👏🏾 It’s so true though... you think oh snap my hair will look like hers... WRONG!! Lol
facts! It never will! Thanks for tuning in!
I’ve been shampoo my hair for 10 years I don’t skip my deep conditioner either even though my hair is long and Issa a lot I still do my hair properly
Beautiful queen 👸🏾😘
Hiii Daye😍, great video. Greetings from 🇬🇧. You guys are soo spoiled in the US😆😋. First the availability and product choice you have, and second, in the UK, you can't take back any products that have been used. No way no how! So it's even more of a 💷 roulette, and trial and error when you first go natural and are trying to decide on products, or if you're guilty of being a product junky! 😜
Notification ganggggg 🤪
🥰 #Ganggang
I love you and your hair
Love all the way from Africa Namibia 🇳🇦 ❤️😘
Loved this video!I have to determine my strand size and density. Have you done a video on detangling knots?
Thank and yes!

I’m super late, but TRIMMING is so important to length retention. My hair stayed the same length for years until I started trimming and not only does it help retain length by getting rid of split ends, but it actually helped my twist outs and wash and go’s look more fuller... Plus those one strand knots that I struggled with for the longest are almost completely non existent.. I “dust” my ends every 4 months and do a trim once a year and my hair is mid back length 🤷🏾♀️
What is "dust"
@@AB-lv6dythey mean taking a little hair off the ends, a very light trim
Baby listen to me. I legit never did my own hair before and I try to do this top knot bun with a bang, and thought it was going to be a breeze based off what I seen on UA-cam and child I almost cut my hair off. I legit had to take a three day break and do it again. Natural hair ain’t for the weak.

I have course strands but I low/medium density
Embrace you texture and be diverse with who you watch
Thank you. Nj-
I would love to see you do vlogs
I want to be but I don't be doing anything thanks to COVID-19! lol
I never have clarified my hair, should I try it my next wash day is it necessary?
how do you accommodate dense areas do they don't tangel, all of my hair is dense but I have particular areas that are just EXTRA and dry so fast .
Can we get into your DECOR with being said, will you be bringing tips or hacks and OR DIY's videos????
Whewwww come on patience!! Speak it!! Lol
Yasss 🙌🏾
you better preach !
Yes to #7!!! WASH YOUR DAMN HAIR
🙌🏾🤣
👍👍

Ugh so happy I found your channel insanely informative for someone like me who really has no idea what to do with my hair... now I feel like I don’t have to give up and cut it all off again! Thank you for these videos 😌😌
You’re welcome love 🥰
Yes! It takes at least 3 hours to wash and style my daughter’s hair and everyone acts like I’m supposed to knock it out in an hour
Yessss !!! I really have to stress this to ppl in my family when it comes to my daughter and I hair .
@@beautywithbre5531 it’s soooo annoying. Then they act like natural hair is “unmanageable” because of this.
That number 1 is so me lmao
Gotta be patient boo! 🤣🙌🏾
Good Morning Beautiful!💕😸
Good morning Gorgeous 🥰
What are some shampoo's you reconmened
Check out the shampoo video on my channel
Wait a darn minute...UA-cam forgot to send me a notification.
Oh lord! Ppl keep saying that! Why won’t UA-cam let me be great!
@@DayeLaSoul they need to do better fa sure.
My hair strands are so fine u need magnifying glass to see it, especially the color its in right now 😅😅. I still can't get my hair to stay moisturizer but it is what it is these days. I embrace it for it is breakage and all 🥰.
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
🥰
It's not the product. It's the routine. Be consistent.
Spit those facts.
RIGHT!! I DON'T EVER LAY ME EDGES!!
Walgreens???? Man I wish I knew that
🤣🤣
Your hair is going to have more than one pattern. for the first year I would cut the back of my hair monthly because I thought it was damaged. Then I realize that my hair in the back was 3b-3c...
Girl me too! The back and perimeter are 3b/c and the crown seems like 4bish lol kept cutting the loose curls til I realized it was growing back the same
It sure can!
Number 8 I'm learning this recently as a low porosity girl my hair doesn't like heavy handedness unless it's a spray leave in.
Num 9 😲👏 How our hair grows out. I used to think it's only type 4 that grows outward but mine is 3b/mostly 3c and it seams to grow outward except for that 3b section 😪. Btw I didn't get a shape cut, I just Big big chopped
Hi
Hey boo!
Jesus loves you
Sounds ghetto as hell!!😏
#Next 🥱
Lol still trying to insult people by calling them ghetto 🤣🤣🤣… That’s fine with me. Better ghetto than pathetic enough to be a grown man watching women videos just to insult them because women don’t give you enough attention in real life 🤣🤣. And look at you liking your own comment. This comment immediately went to hidden because of the word ghetto but had a like. Whew sucks to be you.
