    Did you find out the difference in gas mileage? Thinking about doing this to my 1972 C-20 with a TH350

      Went from 13 to 17 mpg. Not too shabby for a built 347.

    What was the total RPM drop with the gear vendor about 500 ? What gear ratio do you have ? O I'm running a 3:73 in my Dana 60 with C6 wondering what to expect I'm at 3,000 at 70 so I'm betting your rear gear is lower than 3:73

      3.73 with 26" tires. I went from 3400 RPM to 2800.

      I see I have a F250 with 30" tires did you install yourself ? I'm considering one not a fan of the fwy at 3k

      It's either going to be a tremec T 600 or a gear vendor

    Thank you for posting! Neat video. Did you have to modify the tunnel of your car at all to make the gear vendors fit?

    • @434josh
      @434josh  Рік тому +1

      No it fit easily. Just had to shorten the driveshaft 13".

      @@434josh GV advertises only about a 1 hp per 400 hp parasitic loss with the GV unit. Did you notice any loss of power thru it?

    • @434josh
      @434josh  Рік тому +1

      @@mattsboatyard6891 the only loss of power is to drive the internal oil pump. Other than that there is nothing else that could possibly rob any power.

      @@434josh ahhh ok, so pretty negligible on the power loss? That pretty much lines up with what I’ve been reading. I’m only asking because my motor/trans/gear ratio combo is super similar to yours

      Brian Samuels I already had a custom aluminum shaft but I just shortened it approx 13 inches.

      Ok I need to learn how to measure a driveshaft to cut. I'm assuming that you don't have any vibrations?
