Just a tip from one to another, try to keep the Repair area as small as possible. When you sand down such a big area around the damage it gives a much longer, material consuming and also bigger area where you have a risk of geting something un-even. ”Better”.. or maybe at least more efficient, is to try and keep it as small as you are able to 😇 i work with only very small damages that can be ”spot repaired” so i basically never put clearcoat on an entire panel, only usualy the damaged area + 5-7 inches or 10-20cm around. Im not saying you need to repair like that since its hard and requires some experience with the clear. But the Repair up until clearcoat should be as small as possible, and then go ahead and just o it as normal and put clear over the whole panels if you dont know how to blend! 👍🏼 great video! Thx man
Can you go through the process please of filling a small penny size dent , that’s what I’m concerned about extending the situation beyond the dent to much and will the clear coat mask any transition from original paint to new paint and should I sand the new coat to flat prior to clear coat , your help would be appreciated, I’ve worked on large areas before but like in numbers where you can go to the joints and mask off , the dent I have to do is on wheel arch it’s rite on a body line line crease can’t use pdr no way in double skin , I have thought of drilling hole in rear skin to gain access to work it out but not so sure .
so true. its a such a small spot to be repainting that much panels. first off i wouldn't use those pneumatic sanders for that job. he damaged more clear coats in the surrounding area than he should have. when what he should have done its just base and top coat the spot only polish the surrounding area then use a blending reducer to blend the new clear coat to the old one. polish the whole panels when done.
Good afternoon Edwin. That is just beautiful results. That primer you use really does a good job for you. Your use of different and various sand papers really makes a difference too. That shine is just perfect. Thanks for another great video have a good week and you take care.
Hi Steve!! Good afternoon, job came out very nice, that filler the uv filler is awsome, and can be used in very different situations. Have a great week my friend👍👍Thanks.
Cheers for this, I have been researching "osteoarthritis age 30" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Hanadelyn Banadison System - (search on google )? It is a great one of a kind guide for discovering how to get rid of arthritis without the hard work. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my co-worker got cool results with it.
So both doors got painted i see that but do the doors have to get sanded and primed or do you just color coat over the original clear coat? What kind of preparation needs to happen to the panels that weren't sanded and primed?
@@Vv_Twisted_vV Black doesn't need to blend as long as you have a black that matches. On the other hand, you'll see the different colors if you don't blend on sliver, white, yellow, etc With that being said, he did blend the paint, can you see the tape of the middle has black paint but left&right side don't?
Ah... skipped over the part I wanted to see. What was the clear stuff you spayed on? Are you using clear coat as a sealer? I am confused on how you get the new primer and paint to blend in with the pre existing stuff.. it seems like that would cause a problem.
Quite hard and tough big job. For me it would be easier to get someone to do it and just pay the bill. Because it would cost me more to buy tools, equipment, time and space. Good jod👍
Hi, mess sometihing from the vid, what happend with the doors? i see you was painted 2 door but i cant saw it when you prepered the doors, or you painted on the lack?
Hey! I’m currently doing a repair like this but when I apply my primer I can still see the patch of the bondo, after watching this I know I need to go to finer sand paper gradually but just wondering if you sprayed anything over the bondo or was that just primer? Please give me any advice too to help me blend the bondo better so I’m not left with a patch/stain after painting Thanks!
@@preownedsales4495 it side not have to be feather edged with 80. You can do it with finer grit. You are right tho, has to be feather edged or it will show thru.
hi there, i drive a honda accord cu2 in blackmetallic an have a similar damage size on my door in the lower part. what would be the cost for fixing that kind of damage if i give it away? thank you for replying sir🤝🏾
The most expected and satisfying part has not been recorded ! But ok, as you shown, both doors had to be painted totally. I was assuming that only the part you made the repair on would be painted.
I get that you want to cut fast with the 80 but don’t want 80 grit on the paint. Would it be that much slower to just use the 220. Thanks for showing the grits most of the times.
Good comment @linus452345, i'm nowhere on you guys level doing that, but i was going to ask, why did he make a small area, that large, i thought you were to try to keep the area small, that gentle just made more work.

That car looks like it has been painted before. It look like it has a whole lot of orange peel . Or bad body work. not on your part but to the right on the video.
lol, mix your putty on a piece of cardboard or the onion paper books they make for that. He was wasting material dropping it on the floor. Throwing money away....

I need instructions on how to repair a very small dent, and I am willing to pay
Some colours are hard though, some blends are terrible if not off a body line
Excellent work man!

Excellent grade 👍👌
Did you put color on the whole panel or just the repair area and then cleared the whole panel
He sprayed the whole door with base then clearcoat.
Could you tell me what electric Da sander you are using.
i think is Mirka Deros...

whether it is UV lama for drying all primers and colors or only for UV primer and color? Nice work
Uv lamp is only for drying the uv filler.there is no uv drying color by my knows

that panel re-sprayed before ?
because that orange peel is so bad
Does the whole panel then have to be sprayed or blended?
My understanding is the base coat is blended to rest of panel but the entire panel gets clearcoat.. I believe.
Nice job my friend 😁👍👍👍 👍👍👍✌
Muhammed My friend!!!!! Thanks bro👍👍👍
What type of rubber body filler spreader is that? I can't seem to find one anywhere.
What liquid do you have in the botle and at the end of the video clean all surface?
Alcohol, buddy..!
Proper job. Very nice. Wish you would have shown the paint work at the end though.
24:17 Is there foam soft tape between doors?
So annoying watching somebody you scrapers as a spreaders find it so difficult to watch . But he is good at he’s job .
