I did. I confused "hydra" for "hydro". For years, I was thinking "hydrolisk", and that they were spitting water. Spitting spikes doesn't even really make sense, but that is clearly what the developers intended.
@@Dziaji His opponent felt strange and analyzed the replay. After seeing eapm consistently hit mid-200s, he looked up the account and found that the ID was the same as ssinz's top donor.
Oh, I played with this concept for a few weeks a while back. It seems to be more of a surprise build, in the end. Two main issues with it, specially if you lose the scouting probe: 1) If zerg is aware of it, 3hh with speed first is a very hard counter. The correct behavior for Z is not to reveal hydra but wait until zealots crosses the middle of map. No +1 means horrible trade vs hydraling and there is no retreat. In this game, it didn't work quite that well because the JD missed the moveout; so he didn't have the numbers in time. As P, it can be hard to recognize that you need to turn back in middle of the map, but even if you do(e.g. with a probe coming from another angle), would still need panic canons & the 2nd gate being in natural can mess with defense. 2) Other than that, just good old speedlings can be a solid hold. It is pretty disgusting but speedlings wreck slow +0 zealots. They wreck them so hard and produce/reinforce so quickly, that Z doesn't need to make a lot of them up front, which lets them to drone. Lose 7 zealots to 18 speedlings despite hugging a wall, and the opener loses a lot of shine. If Z doesn't know it is coming, or doesn't know correct reactions, it is a nice opener and you have different options on whether to hit with 3/4/5/7 zealots, etc. You can read the max timing you can go for based off of their gas timing (and lair/speed first). Unless going really early like in this game, it can be fine to hit something like 30 seconds before mutas can be out; it also can be good to moveout early to force lings and make a follow-up timing before mutas can be out, again.
A suggestion: sometimes the length of the videos can be a spoiler for the result of the match. Adding a blank/filler screen after the end of the match that extends the video to some set amount of time (like 30 minutes, or whatever you think would be the maximum reasonable amount of time for any match to last) could make the viewing experience less predictable.
I've gotten accustomed to not check the length when seeing what appears to be a SC thumbnail. And even use tricks like covering part of my eyes/sight with my hand so I don't see the bottom part until I go full screen, move the mouse pointer to the other monitor and the hud disappears. So it's somewhat possible, but it's way too much hassle for the normal person. Having the match padded is a way, though a bit of a hassle as well. Not sure how well it goes with the algorithm and such. Like, if he gets penalized if people only watch 1/2 of the video. Ideally Google/UA-cam should implement a feature to hide the length, say to say "hidden". And to be able to see if you click on it or something, in case somebody wants to abuse the system. That would be best, Artosis and all other casts can flag the videos with hidden length, and those who do want to check it beforehand for whatever reason, are only a click away from seeing it.
It's an awesome Idea, actually I gave this feedback quite sometimes, perhaps not only here. But yea I always agreed with it, and I have seen it on some good caster, IIRC khaldor does it / did it. No one minds a little bit of emptiness in the end if it's for the sake of anti-spoilers. It could be standardized length in certain steps, so you don't get the idea right away. Anyways of course you can also just press play and then leave the player as is; (which worked for me here) anyhow there might be occasions where you want to pause and or replay a scene or picture and then you see the timer at least about!
Wow interesting game! Thanks for the great commentary. Hidden second gate feels gimmicky but nice to see the idea and something to keep Zerg greedy response to forge FE in check!
Wow this looks like such a cool build for PvZ, hope to see this displaces the current corsair-reliant meta. For the first time in a very long time I'm actually excited to play PvZ, a matchup I've always felt pretty hopeless about honestly...
If P used storm very good. Z will always have a hard time. And has to respond with Swarm lings. If you are not expert at swarm, you will have a very hard day vs storm Protoss.
I think it was around 2018 maybe, but when Flash played with the others races, I saw him doing 9 pylon, 10 gas, 11 gate PvT. And doing 1 or 2 recalls at 10 min and starting the tird base. Game was like: fast DT expansion then recall and IMO very hard for terran to read that build since how terran could know the protoss did a 10 gas?
I have watched some casts with JD, and I must admit the repetetive scenario. JD announced as a legend, and after that JD losing the game. Why is that so?
Time to go take a dump at work for the next 15 minutes
The Brood War meta is so advanced that slowly making 4 zealots and sending them across the map is now considered tricky high-level play.
Actually, you're making them twice as fast
@@sergeyk9060 no, you can get them way faster on 1 base with no forge.
@@Dziajibut you’d be telling your enemy that. The whole point of this strat is too not let ur enemy see the second gateway. Ur just dumb
The double gateway is kinda rare.
it is all about the meta
Anyone else thought that Hydras spit acid instead of shooting spikes until they read wikia or played Remastered?
StarCraft 2 made me realise that "needle spines" was not acid.
I even call them (Hydras) "spitters" ))
Zerg range upgrade is “spikes” picture. I always thought it was both - spikes infused with acid
They do spit acids. The animation is clear and this is not open for debate.
Dont let anyone tell you otherwise even the developers

Ssinz is permanent banned asl. He won fully amateur tournament with a fan's A-rank account. After that asl announce permanent ban.

Agreed. Jaedong had lazy positioning with his overlord.
It’s only viable if you scout the late gas since going more ground units as toss is good if you don’t fear muta possibility.

AWESOME MATCH !!!
Would the outcome be different if the zerg had used his overlord to scout around the expansion a bit instead of assuming it was 1 gate 1 forge opener?
