Yes, that hold has a lot of great options.
I got this move in 24 years ago in a high school match. Now I know it exists. Thanks coach!

That's not a term we use. Unless it's sacrificing our opponent.
I've been loving these techniques even hit a few of them st training, definitely trying this one out today

In Judo, this is called "Yoko-Wakare" or "Side separation".
Cool! Thanks for the terminology!
@@KOLATCOM Anytime
I never wrestled in school, and this was the first takedown I ever learned in BJJ. I can't hit a double or single leg to save my life, but I can do this one.
This is an advanced move to start with!
@@KOLATCOM I let people get an underhook on me and then transition to it. With a gi, the friction helps lock the arm in more.
Beautiful...💖
I like to step behind when getting that 2 on 1. Gathering that near leg with my leg. Driving in and across his body.
I like this. Thanks Cary.
Cool, there are a lot of good possibilities with the 2 on 1. Thanks for supporting our channel!
@@KOLATCOM you are an inspiration to the youth and coaches as myself. Thank you Cary...
❤❤❤❤❤❤
🙏
❤
🙌
If anybody ever try this guy LMAO they have no clue what they going to be in 4 he's dangerous
Thanks for the confidence booster!
beautiful
Thank you for being a longtime subscriber to our channel.
Imma try this in my no gi bjj class 😎
Cool! Report back how it goes.
Could you also do a hip toss in that same set up?
No, you can't hit a hip toss from the 2 on 1 because you can't back step when you're hips are outside the arm. This spin goes in the opposite direction.
Here is a sag headlock that works from from there when you transition across. ua-cam.com/users/shorts_lJ0sorts8Y
@@KOLATCOM wow thanks alot! Your channels awesome.
When would you use this instead of the standard lateral drop?
This is a different skill than the lateral drop. The lateral drop involves an over under chest to chest position trying to get your opponent to lean in for a hip pop throw. If someone does not want to tie up with an over under you can still attack the 2 on 1 to setup a lateral spin. The lateral spin skill is similar to the foot work and motion of the under arm spin which is the opposite direction of a back step. Instead of turning and hitting your opponent with your hips for a lift you are turning under the arm and rolling your opponent up as you spin down the body.
Just found out about your channel last night when i searched lat throws and now im gonna buy a Grappling dummy and become a beast. The lat throw alone will win 10/10 fights since literally all street fights well to untrained ppl consist of one maybe two punches max until they start to hold each other looking for a headlock. ,(heavy emphasis on hold eachother and not grapple because that would mean they would know what they are doing which they don't ) .
Also when did it become a thing to automatically look for the headlock and not throw hands judt straight punches in bunches is the ufc to blame for this?
Maybe.
Unrelated; what is chest to chest called. Some say a cloth and some say chest to chest but what is the official name? (The pin where you hook the head and the arm from the side and use your hips to fight any bridging force)
Chest to chest finish.
@@KOLATCOM Thought so..
❤️🔥 even if they post on your head.
Overhook the post arm and same takedown. Stay fluent...
Russian ties puts them on defensive immediately.
A 100 attacks from there...
Yes, it's the Swiss Army knife of tie-ups!
@@KOLATCOM ha! Great analogy...
You're always top notch Cary..
Whatever you pay your wrestling dummies, they earn it!
Our demonstration partners are all elite wrestlers who know how to react properly for the demonstration and stay safe.
@@KOLATCOM "dummies" is probably an inappropriate term. But I did not mean it the way it sounds.
You make wreatling better. I think we've witnessed it in the recent D1 tournament. There seems to be more parity among the programs. Especially with Princeton and UNC each getting a champion.
Where’s ur school?
Head Wrestling Coach at US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
That's an ippon in judo.
Cool, thanks!
Нужен скилл и часы работы в этой позиции это не совсем легко!
Да, это правда!
