      @@Katuulu Tone is in everything.
      Standing or sitting playing, pick thickness, speaker size, cabinet type, number of speakers, the pedal order, cable type, cable length, string core, string Guage, how you attack the strings, angle of the pick, how you hold the neck, how you fret, action height, intonation, nut type, how close the pickups are to the strings, how much pressure you put when fretting, type of pickups, how the pickups are wired, and so on and so forth.
      My guitar in total is probably $300 give or take. The rig I have for band setting is $400 give or take.
      So I mean, if you need to buy expensive shit.
      It has more to do with your ego and inability to want to work with what you have rather than wanting to actually learn how to be good/decent.
      One person can take a $1,000+ guitar and run through a $2,000+ rig and sound like absolutely horse shit.
      Then someone else can use the same thing without changing settings and make it sound amazing.
      Ted Nugent was backstage at a Halen concert and asked Eddie to try out his rig.

      if you are okay with the buzz when not playing or when letting strings ringing, then it's fine. Copper shielding it won't fix 100% but it's already a noticeable difference

      You can definitely play metal with single coils or p90s in some cases, it just sounds...weird? I have a Les Paul with p90s. I can play metal on it in the middle pickup position which gives it humbucking properties (ie no noise). It sounds, uh, twangy? Not good for fat metalcore tones but great otherwise

      @Lee McDabney I don't think he is saying "Hey you are a moron to pay a lot of cash for a guitar and gear", to me sounds more like "you can have fun even on a low budget".

    The majority of the sound comes from your amp/multi-effects processor, so if you have a good audio interface, a good amp sim or a good pedalboard, you'll have a good sound, not the same sound of Nik's guitars, but still good :)

    It sounded pretty decent for an $80 guitar. Too bad Glarry didn't send you their model 170 guitar which has humbuckers and is only ~$10 more.

      @Multorum Unum You can djent on a tele easily, with single coils too. Six string guitars won't cut it beacuse they simply aren't made for tunings like drop A and lower.

    • @The_JustJoshing
      @The_JustJoshing 3 роки тому +8

      With plug-ins you don’t even need a real amp anymore. You can get tons of great ones for free. Of course, a real amp may sound better, but unless you’re a crazy gear head you probably won’t tell the difference.

    • @marvintimke3978

      You can get some pretty good used amp heads. Like an Randall rg15013, every bugera amp or an marshall valvestate 8100 for example. Those small practice amps like the nux mighty lite or the roland micro cube are good too. But of course, i don't know what is a good amp in your head, is it amp head with cabinet? Is it an combo amp or a small practice amp? But yeah, plug-ins seem pretty cool too. Oh and the small joyo amps are cool too, from what i've heard

    • @The_JustJoshing
      @The_JustJoshing 3 роки тому +5
