    For the harmonic sweep, if you angle your pick so the thin side is basically scraping the strings, it gives the Gojira sound.

      Don't have to use harmonics for this. Just mute your strings and scrape away

    Beautiful Schecter there. I just picked myself up a satin crimson red bust with sustainiac and it is another favorite of mine. I still have a lot of practice to do in order to make it sound like yours 😅

    You could also do the dissonance and add a tritone above the higher note, and arpeggiate it. Sanction does it in a lot of their breakdowns

      @@nope110 The rake can be done even if there's no harmonics.
      Unlike with harmonic sweeps you can move your left hand and you get the same sound with more harmonic mess.

    How to make amazing solos WITHOUT SHREDDING
    I’m not an amazing guitarist, I can play some 16th notes here and there, but not much more than that.
    I still want to create amazing metal solos though, can you help me out?

      Honestly, brush up on solo writing (note choice for chords) cause with fewer notes you're going to have to make your notes count rather than relying on 32nd notes. Also remember the lead guitar is only one aspect of your songs, so mix up rhythm section, for example doing the first part of a solo with the rhythm in 8th notes then a second part with either 16th or 32nd notes (use double-bass and tremolo picking) will make the section seem faster even if you're not changing the speed of your soloing
