Great vid! MPC5000 is my favorite because of the hardware features and straightforward OS (I’m using OS 2.0, the first version was pretty buggy). There’s the phono + line input switch, plus the XLR/quarter-inch inputs on the back; if I wanna switch between sample sources, it’s super easy to do without having to disconnect/reconnect. The 4 MIDI outs and the 8 outs that come standard are also pretty useful.
That’s definitely a valid drawback that you brought up for chopping, I think JJOS has the best chopping functionality. I do like that you can use the faders to adjust chop points on the 5000. Pros and cons for sure. Cool vid, thanks for sharing.
I changed mpc 2000 xl... With 5000
For me 5k are best
Great video vubeatz. You make all of your MPCs have your type of feel and sound.
Great vid! Would love to see one for each of your MPCs, when and if possible
I think that's the way we're going with this ;)
Smooth as Butter!
Great video!
thanks :)
Whoa! 5k sounds good 👍
I got to get mine fixed
You should!
I didn’t like the MPC 5000, but the MPC live 2 is a beast.
All New MPC are trash. MPC 4000 IS the perfect today for workflow and Sonic
@@slice307SHHhhh🤫 Let them brag on their new toys
Love my 5000 but hate chopping anything on it, ruins the workflow for me. I choose to chop samples on my 404 over the 5000 much alike you 🤟🤟🤟🤟
Jjos also tops 5000 as you can play the samples via the pads before turning it into a program which is Hella good for jamming and all round fun 😡
Is your OS the 2.0 version it has zoom in chop mode
Interesuje mnie tzw: Midi clock drift problem
I have one👌
that's the original stems mono LR recording
I strictly chop no problem on the 5000. Zoom in & out no problem - I don’t understand what you mean?
Try to chop 8 bar loop to 32 peaces and tell me that’s great experience
@@vubeatz I literally just did. What OS you using?
I think 2.0
2.0 - teach me how to zoom in the waveform - not in open window.
@showbread9366 we need answers!
The 5000 is my favourite because of fast workflow.. even the fx section is kind of poor.
NO FREEZING?
Mine never actually froze. I got 2.0 OS
I had a 5000 and I'm pretty damn sure you can zoom into a sample when chopping or editing. Isn't it one of the sliders? I could be wrong, it's been years. Fun machine though.
I will check sliders on chop.
@@vubeatz I started to remember there was something about that zoom going in too far and then zooming out somehow each time.
I forget if you push the button above the slider if it changes the speed of the zoom or something like that. I could be reaching.
I didn't finish your vid before I commented but now that I'm done. those some nice beats dude.
Ya had me at the first one but all all of em are dope. Killing it
Yes, you can
@michal23pl shift and cursors are not working like in JJOS. I checked manual for MPC 5000 before recording that and they say that only way to zoom sample in (when You’re on chop mode) is using start and end point open window feature. But I describe in the video why it’s not enough for me. So if You have some other way, please enlighten us ;)
The 5000 is the worst mpc
The 3000 and 2000XL are the best ones
I love my mpc5000 I’m always finding different features to use. Has great filters and lfos and you could some really dope stuff with the synth
