I've been bass fishing for years at 74 years old. I've fished many Ranger bass boats that travel at 65 miles per hour. Let me tell you moving at 65 or 90 like this video on water is a real experience. Running this speed in your car is nothing, in a boat it's better than a roller coaster. Always wear a vest and protective glasses. If you try and talk you whole face blows up. I had my friend ask me did you want glasses and a vest, I said no. Not anymore. Good video, very cool boat. @@dudley0826 Just watch the video. He can't keep the boat on the pad, he is walking all over the place, at the end he nearly shits his pants when the chine hits from his dumbass not being able to hold the boat on the pad, the boat trim is incorrect for the different water conditions he passes through and he doesn't make the necessary adjustments, he treats the steering wheel like a redheaded step child. I could go on, but this video should be used to show everything you are not supposed to do while trying to achieve top speed in a boat. He will end up killing himself, or someone else, one day if he doesn't grow a fucking brain. If we saw someone acting like this anywhere around here, they would be immediately run the fuck off! There is NO skill involved in this video AT ALL! You want to see skill, then go watch the Allison boys run on FastBass Marine. THAT is skill.
What prop are you running? And im assuming your running a sportmaster....i have a vipercobra 201d with 300 promax 26p 4b trophy and torquemaster and seeing 70.1 @5900rpm.
sportmaster 1 inch above pad, 29 promax running right around 6000rpm. It sounds like you might need to raise your motor up. If you can raise your jackplate up a torquemaster can be ran up to 3/4 below pad but being a bigger boat it probably won't like being that high. Just be carefull and raise it in increments and try it to be safe! Measure your prop to pad and see where you're at
No, I used to run my Blazer near 100 just going to the damn sandbar. Once you learn how to drive safely at higher speeds, it gets much easier and you can relax. The problem is, most people have no idea how to drive a boat.
It also depends on weight. Is this in tournament config? Is it full of fuel? Is it running a 36v trolling motor with an extra 3 AGM batteries in it? Does it have a shitty lower unit on the motor? What is the X Dimension of the prop? There are countless factors that go into getting a bass boat to run 100. I have only seen one bass boat run 100+ with 300hp, and it wasn't setup for fishing.
I’d rather a guy come by me on pad then slow down and wake me. I bet he didn’t 2” of that boat in water, if I’m right I’d say he was on pad about 62-63 mph.
@@Tomc8030 My point was, I feel like you were too close to that boat going that fast. You could’ve swung out a safe distance without slowing down. That guy would’ve still noticed that your boat was fast.

Respect is not being scared it's knowing where your limit is. First time running up that fast on anything is nerve racking. It's experience that makes it more comfortable and getting comfortable can reward you with a bad day.
I dont think so... It looked like a windy day to be running that fast.. I saw the nose get blown around several times... At the end of the video the nose gets blown around again and you can see on the water its blowing harder there... That was the time to turn aroud... Nice run! One thing most people don't consider is that when a boat is set up to run this well is that it runs much more efficient at "normal" speeds.
Nice 👍🏻
My Triton is all over the place at 65. His boat didn’t require the same input till he got above 80
That's some skilled driving there brother.

For when there's a spot 25 miles away that only gets good 30 minutes before weigh-in.
Or for the guy who just wants a fast boat because he likes fast boats...

Very nice! Love the speed
Damn that's fast for bass boat
No, it is not. That is a little better than average.
Why so judgmental everyone? Hes going fast so what he obviously knows the risks if he has the guts to go that fast
That boat you flew by....roflmao.

How was your hole shot with the pro max 29 ?
OMG I'm afraid to do those speeds in my car. Good driving though.
BOOGITY BOOGITY BOOGITY!, if u ever needed to run a few miles to a spot, the basscats, bullets are the ones to do it in !
My dream boat
That's where swap ends comes into play.
Did you know the guy you passed on the left? Seems a bit close.
yes that was my buddy who was in my bullet and i was driving his
Awesome
Heck yeah.. Get r done
Nice!
2 good reasons to go fast, 1 someone wants to barefoot, and 2, you've already shit yourself!😂

Love it!!! Will it do that with a full livewell? Lol
87-88 with livewells full

Nice.
How many fish did you catch?
wasnt fishing just prop testing
Your going to fly away bro
Really poor decision going by a fellow boater stopped in the river that close at 80+ mph

I thought this boat would do at least 100 with a 300, my Bullet 20xd with 225 sports Xs sports master does 83
it takes a lot to get a 21ft bullet to break 100, but it can be done with some motors, not this one though

How do you get the speedometer reading onscreen?
Gopro's have the capability when editing with the gopro app
Nice boat and high speed run. I wish videos like this had a tachometer also.
Looks like Andy Strickland's boat
That’s nothin! My fiberglass river jonboat has a jet motor! It’ll hit….19 MPH….as long as I’m headed downstream.
Should run low 100 if set up properly
It does !he wasn’t trimmed and jacked all way ! U can tell he got scared and backed off
Cool boat, but you could’ve been more respectful of the fisherman that you buzzed doing 87 mpg.

Ive never caught one at 10mph either
