How? How can you have so much dedication , love and hunger for something that keeps you saying "more, more i need more details"
I just made a bevel on a cube in blender and watch that thing for 20 min as if i am looking at Mona Lisa

Okay, I have only two questions. Who won first prize and second? Two: why are you not posting anymore? Your work is on a whole different level. It made me reevaluate my whole modelling process. The things you do in 3dsmax and marvellous are mindblowing.
Thanks! I took 3rd place, unfortunately I did not have time to properly format my work and it turned out a little damp, I finished 5 minutes before the end). Yes, I haven’t posted anything for a long time, I worked a lot and didn’t have time for personal projects, or rather there were, but I haven’t been able to finish them yet. Maybe when the games I've been working on come out I'll be allowed to show what I've been doing, we'll see, that would be great.

What was the total working hours for this project?
I worked every day for two months, 8-12 hours per day on average.
This is normal for such a character.
@@IlyaGagarin Yeah, i was wondering that is how much it would've roughly taken. I have another question if you don't mind. Do you use hotkeys in your workflow for tasks like extrude, bevel, chamfer, bridge ect?
and the topology on the cloths are all tris, i was wondering that if such a character (with fill intent on rigging and animating it) would cause problems due to the involvement of tris when cloth simulation is applied to it.
The result is stunning and really detailed. Thank you for sharing the process video.

@@kirilzangagolev3401 Everyone is different, but in general, if you are new to 3D, then I think in 3-5 years you can learn how to make very good characters
@@IlyaGagarin can you recommend me a good guide/tutorial, book/course on 3d modeling so i can get to the same level as you in 3-5 years.
i have seen many people 3d model for 3+ years but there work does not even come close to yours.
i was warned by another artist not to train from youtube courses. but he never told me where to learn from .what to learn which things are more important and which things to focus more on.
so can you guide on the skills that i have to learn to get on your level

Боже, 30 тысяч пунктов, подпунктов, вкладок, линий непонятных в интерфейсе, хотел заняться 3d моделированием но это меня отталкивает, неужели нельзя сделать максимально простой и понятный обывателю интерфейс? Чтобы всё делалось быстро и ясно, без всех этих замудрений. Кажется что на электрика выучиться проще чем разобраться в этих программах для 3d

I saw this video years ago and was so fascinated about the idea of making my own character. Im now majoring in 3D animation. I never got to try making my own character because I was a Mac user and Mac isn’t that flexiable with 3D stuff. Now I have my own PC!

Помню видел это года 4 назад когда еще ни в одной из прог не шарил и оставил вопрос в комментах 😅 вопрос по типу сколько нужно затратить времени чтобы так заскульптить тело и добиться такой анатомии😂 щас понимаю что это самый быстрый и я бы сказал приятный процесс в зебре, тем более если юзать болванку) самое сложное все остальное)
P.s. И да, всем кто сомневается что сможет выдать подобное- самый главный талант это не художественные навыки которые типа кому то даны а кому то нет, а стальная пятая точка 😅на которой ты должен сидеть долгое время пока этому всему учишься. Даже порой огромного желания одного не хватает) это требует времени и усердия, вроде бы просто но ни хрена😅 ни каждый способен заставить себя сидеть и потратить на это много времени.

I just watched the whole series for this character. It was stressful af. I even think you've overdone it sometimes. I mean the amount of work, and software used is too much compared to the result. This must have been one expensive project. However its undeniable that the result is amazing. Great artist and great knowledge of the tools.

So, all 7 videos together are about 2 and a half hours, I saw that putting the videos to 0.25 velocity is close to normal speed, which means that all this videos are about 10 hours of non stop work, but I'm pretty sure it took longer than that. it is a marvelous work and I would apreciate to know how long it took to make. Also if you could give the name of the program used for the clothes simulation, I'd thank you a lot
Thank you buddy) In fact, there are a lot more hours, about half or a third of the whole process I cut out so that it was not boring to watch and the video was accelerated by about 15-20 times, I have a 4TB hard drive full of video) All the work took me 2 months and about 300-350 hours) The program for working with clothes is called the Marvelous designer.
